Chapter Thirty-Seven
Mary Sue was not classified as mentally ill for nothing. It was bad enough that she attempted and even succeeded in killing thousands of real worlders. Now she had the audacity to lie that Ash J. and Lean Share had something to do with the Lubriem's death. There was no fake death. How the Lubriem died was real because she was gone. And yeah. She was killed by a real worlder, but I am not about to blame all real worlders for one person's actions.
So many real worlders died during the past wars. Innocent real worlders were gone forever because of her. She could not get away with her crimes.

I crossed my arms and frowned. "Like how you murdered tons of real worlders in the 1800's and 1900's?"
"Uh, what are you talking about?" the man joined in on our conversation. "How can she do murder way back in those decades when she is not dead? At the very least, she should be old and have wrinkles, but...she is as young as a teenager."
"I am a teen, you dummy," Mary Sue spat. "If you were like our brilliant writer, you would know that fictional characters do not age. At least, not in Forlot."
I squeezed my fingers with one hand and rocked back and forth on the heels of my shoes. "We - or should I say, I - need to tell you what really happened to all those people who died in those wars, sir."
When a person mentions something about a war, what is the first war that comes to mind? If you answered the Civil War, World War 1, or World War 2, you are correct! As a matter of fact, all of these wars have a connection with the town of Forlot...
...and Mary Sue.
Do you know how the Civil War, World War 1, and World War 2 started? Well...do you want to know? I will tell ya!
They were all set off by the same little words. Mary Sue.
That is correct! Mary Sue started the wars. She is responsible for the deaths of millions. I will not go into great detail on how she managed to start three chain reactions, but I will say that she fooled around with some legal documents and killed some real worlders here and there.

Completely forgetting about my shoulder that I later found out was not broken, I reached up, wrapped my thumbs and fingers around both of Mary Sue's wrists, and pulled her off the table and onto the floor. She was on her stomach, and I still had a hold of her wrists and ordered Sophia to toss me the handcuffs. She did as quickly as she could, and I handcuffed Mary Sue once again.
"Come on, Mary Sue." I helped her up. "Your sick game is over."
"You call it a sick game. I call it a duty."
"Just shut up, Mary Sue. Shut up. I do not want to hear another word from you until you are back in your cell."
"The mental asylum does not have cells, Cassandra. Stop treating me like a criminal."
"You are a criminal and need lots and lots of help."
Just then, I heard kicking and muffling sounds. At first, I figured that my brain was messing with me, however, both the fictional characters and the real worlders were hearing the same noises.
"Where is that coming from?" Libby asked.
Xefente pointed at the ceiling. "I believe that it is coming from the room above us."
"We should check it out," Ash added.
My group and the real worlders ran as fast we could out of the room and up the stairs and into the room where the weird sounds were. We found ourselves in the president's office, and the noises were coming from behind a white door.
"What the heck could be in my closet?" Xefente wondered.
Ash crept up to the door, grabbed the doorknob, and pulled open the door all the way. There was nothing but clothes and boxes of files...
...and Kathy who was tied up and gagged.
Kathy looked at me. "Mmm!"
"Kathy!" I exclaimed. "Thank the Lord from above that we found you safe and sound."
Ash helped my partner to her feet and untied her and removed the gag from her mouth. Kathy stretched and tested her fingers.
"I got Mary Sue's note," I told her. "I know the whole story."
"What note? I did not leave any note!" Mary Sue protested.
Kathy massaged her wrists. "Thank you, Cassandra. Thank you all. I would give you a hug, Cassandra, but you are handling Mary Sue, and the last thing that either of us want is for her to escape yet again."
I took a step towards her and forced Mary Sue to do the same. "Did she hurt you?"
"Thankfully, no. We just had a huge fight in my house."
"We will get your house cleaned up. That is a promise."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Mary Sue said. "Something is not right. I did not write a note. I never fought with Kathy."
"You typed the note," I corrected. "You admitted that you kidnapped Kathy and told me to come to the White House if I ever wanted to see her again."
"Why in the world would I want to lure you to the White House?"
"Easy. 'Cause you are..." My voice trailed off.
I was deep in thought because I made an important realization. I never thought that I would say this, but Mary Sue was right. She did not kidnap Kathy. She did not type out that note. Mary Sue does not even know how to type. But I knew someone who does.
Luckily, I brought the note with me. I put a hand in my pocket and pulled it out. I unfolded it and squinted at it.
"Kathy," I said. I looked at her. "Mary Sue did not kidnap you. Libby did."
