Chapter Four

The Offended Beast paused the search to deal with me. His bright eyes nearly blinding me showed no ounce of remorse or understanding or any other sense of sanity. I was not surprised whatsoever nor did I shrink back in fear. I knew when I first decided to stand for Jesus that the world would loathe me to the point that they would be wishing for my death. And this beast would hunt me down eventually and teach me what happens when you are awake. If you are do not know, awake and woke are two totally different ideas. I am an example of awake. I support equality, but I do not blame others for my own problems. I also support mental institutions, as long as they do not abuse their patients, so people can get help and live a fulfilling life. Hopefully, Jesus is part of their lives.

To be awake, you should allow the Holy Spirit to live in your heart and place your faith in God. Read and learn.

"Do you truly believe that you stand any chance against me, Cyril?" the Offended Beast asked in his deep voice, his hot, sticky breath filling my nostrils.

Ignoring his stinky breath and clutching his shiny robe, I said, "I do not understand. I never will nor want to."

"What precisely do you not wish to understand? What I am here for, other than warning you of the horrendous, life-changing consequences for your deadly actions?"

"Deadly only to you and your troublesome followers."

A dimple showed in the corners of his disturbing smile, his two top teeth resembling a vampire's fangs ready to suck all my blood and poking out of his black lips. "Oh, we only want people to be their true selves. Leave their shells and be proud of who God created them to be. He makes no mistakes. Agreed?"

"He did not shape them to be attracted to whoever that they want or in the wrong body. He gave us all freedom of choice. We may or may not live in faith. But anybody who denies Him and His Son will be tortured forever."

I felt his hand grasp my shirt's fabric touching my belly and push me off him. Without uttering a yelp or a cry, I landed on my back on my wooden floor and quickly sat up, my hands flat on the floor.

The Offended Beast unveiled my blue folder containing my paper and chucked my backpack next to me on said floor. His lengthy, black fingers accidentally scratching the folder, he opened the folder and started tossing out papers, said papers fluttering down as if it were raining papers. I had to think fast, or he would disintegrate my marvelous paper. His only weakness is common sense, including the Holy Trinity.

"If God loves all His children more than a single person loves his or her family or significant other, why doom a large portion of His children to the burning pits?"

"People not believing in Him are dooming themselves - not the other way around. God is just giving them what they want."

"What person - believer or nonbeliever - is dreaming of an eternity of burning and sheer torture?"

I climbed back to my feet and inched towards my stand to get my Bible and a couple Forlot books hidden in the drawer. The Offended Beast cannot stand the sight of a Bible or a Forlot book. Despite him being in Forlot.

We are in a Forlot story, let alone in Forlot. Why throw in logic?

"No one," I replied. "Not even those believing that heck is more divine than Heaven, which is mind-boggling."

The beast still did not raise his head or blinding eyes to me. His entire focus was on searching for and probably burning my paper until it became nothing except a pile of ashes that could not open any students' eyes. But if I reached my stand before he successfully discovered my work...

I continued. "Do you believe that a regular nonbeliever or a nonbeliever embracing sin wants to stand by Jesus in Heaven?"

"If they are pumped to be by His and His Father's side, they would not be nonbelievers."

"Do you believe that God wants to welcome sin lovers - including those mocking Him - into His Kingdom? I do not blame Him for shutting His gates to the sinners not loving or respecting Him. If a person not respecting me wanted to attend my big party, I would certainly not be inviting him or her or his or her crew."

I reached my wooden stand. I coiled a hand around the drawer's handle and slowly pulled it open.

"Hey."

I froze. Had he noticed what I was doing?

Grab the books, Cyril!

"You cannot compare yourself to God."

"I was not. I gave you only a worldly example regarding His Feelings. But you are right. No sinner can compare to God."

"You still have not explained why He sends many souls to their doom without a second thought."

I grabbed my Bible. "All the answers pertaining to Him and the Holy Trinity are here in the Bible!" Clutching it in both hands, I raised the Bible. Its covers are black. A drawn cross was in the center of the front cover.

The Offended Beast peered down at me - and suddenly uttered a high-pitched shriek similar to a large bird's.

"The Bible offends you, huh? People like you hate God. He goes against every woke thing that you stand for. So you try hard hiding His Existence or persuading others how He is not who He claims to be. Better enjoying sin. You are enough, so God is unnecessary. Your dirty lies. I thank God that I am not braindead."

The beast had dropped the blue folder. His hands were shielding his face...but they were not helping prevent it from melting and gurgling.

"The only way that you will live is if you leave!"
