Chapter Twenty-Nine
"Mmm!"
It was bad enough that a girl was forcing me to kiss her on the lips, a kiss that I never wanted might I add, but what could make the situation worse would have to be the doctors, nurses, and patients in the hospital, especially my own girlfriend, witnessing it. Thank my God for watching over me because that never occurred.
Well, no patients or doctors or nurses saw us kissing - actually, her kissing me - in the open. I was even a bit surprised, but also quite relieved that Cindy never got to witness it. What would she think of me then?
Yes, Ash was there and even writing about us doing it, but she is the exception to the rule. She would never use the kiss to blackmail me or anything like that. But unlucky me. Someone did see it. Can you guess who the guilty party was?
Ada.
Right now, you readers might be saying, "I do not see the problem, Caleb. Ada is the complete opposite of Ava and a good guy."
I thought the same thing. Ada and I already had so much in common. Why would she use this kiss against me?
That was until there was a flicker of white light, and Anti-Cindy immediately pried her lips off mine. We turned to Ada, and Anti-Cindy uttered a low growl.
"Anti-Ava! Did you have the nerve of snapping a picture of us?!"
Ava's anti was holding a small, silver camera and snickered. She switched off the camera and put it in her pocket.
"I will be using this for blackmail," she announced.
"You little..." Anti-Cindy lunged at Ada, her arms outstretched and her hands in gripping positions.
I gasped and did not want there to be a fight in the hospital, so I reacted quickly, grabbed Cindy's anti by the waist, and pulled her back with all my strength.
Anti-Cindy was only an inch from running Ada into the ground when she stopped in midair and fell on her stomach. She moaned, and I let go of her. She stood back up and gave me a glare that could kill in an instant.
"Did you touch me, Caleb? 'Cause it is rude for a man to touch a lady without permission."
"It is also rude for a lady to touch a man without permission. Men have rights too, you know."
"That is not what I am getting at. Shall I remind you that she took a picture of us kissing, not just me?"
"Wrong," Ada said. "Only you kissed. You made the move on Caleb, not the other way around."
"True, but he wants me."
"No, I do not!" I protested, my glasses sliding down.
"How are you sure that he wants you?"
"Are you blind? Can you not see that I am just like Forlot's Cindy?"
"You are her. But you are not. And for the record, I am blind."
Anti-Cindy rolled her eyes. "Are you saying that so I will take pity on you?"
"I am stating it because it is true!" Ada pointed to her blind eye. "I am blind in this eye because of what he did! When I disagreed with him over a matter that was minor, he punched me in the face! More precisely, my eye!"
At this moment, I did not feel right. I did not feel like myself and started breathing hard. My heart pumped blood to every part of my body.
"Caleb?" Ash said just loud enough for me to hear.
Finally finding my voice, I shouted, "Stop with the fighting!"
I was mad like before. Remember that?

"You are a racist!" the bad group screamed in unison. "There are other religions besides yours!"
"Loving God and Jesus is not a religion," I shot at them.
"I wish that you were dead!" a bad girl shot back.
That was when the wildest thing happened, and I swear that I did not do it. Okay, I did it, but I did not mean to. I can only describe it as a person controlling my movements.
Clenching my teeth, I growled, raised my fist...and smashed it on the glass. And it was enough to make the glass shatter.

Even though that they clearly heard me, Ada and Anti-Cindy continued to bicker, and their bickering was ticking me off. I am not exaggerating that.
"You were always annoying," Anti-Cindy shot at Ada. "Too much anxiety and being afraid of everything that crosses your path."
"I am a good person," Ada shot back. "Cannot say the same for you and your boyfriend."
"He is not my boyfriend anymore! Jeez! You are so inconsiderate!"
"Me? Inconsiderate? This is the first time that I am hearing this!"
"Ugh! Stop!" I screamed this time.
The two girls heard me as plain as day and glanced at me with horrified looks.
"Caleb..." Ada squeaked. ...your face."
"What about my face?!"
"There are black and purple veins creeping on your cheeks..."
"That is absurd!"
Anti-Cindy pulled out a small mirror. "Here." She handed it to me. "You need this more than I do."
I snatched the mirror and peered into it...and nearly dropped it.
There were definitely purple and black veins on my cheeks...and purple and black veins on both of my hands. From my palms to the fingertips.
I fell back, but the antis caught me.
"I will get the doctors," Ash said. She took off.
"Do you have cancer or something, Caleb?" Ada asked.
"It is not cancer," Anti-Cindy confirmed. "His powers are reacting to his emotions."
I coughed. "I...d-do not...have powers..."
"You do now. My boyfriend - I mean, ex-boyfriend - did this to you. He gave you these powers."
"W-why?"
"He is a sicko," Ada said.
Cindy's anti hesitated. "I should not tell you this, but...Anti-Caleb purposely cursed you with the powers so that you would lean on him for support."
