Chapter Thirty-Five
Allow me to educate you readers. The word 'diversity' means to have different perspectives from the same thing or same species. For example, the human race can be blind or deaf or both. There are many other conditions, but let us stick with these two.
When there is a character who is blind or deaf or has the misfortune of having both conditions, real worlders who are blind or deaf or have both are represented. Jorgie Special fits perfectly in this category. Not only is she blind and deaf, but she is also paralyzed from the waist down, had a heart attack and a stroke at the same time, and survived a coma. No real worlder has Tenomeya, but lots of real worlders understated what Jorgie goes through.
Our writer represents those who are unable to be normal like the rest of us. We should accept people who cannot see or hear the world or walk and keep encouraging them to move forward by the grace of God. Also, when there is a chance for that person to get better, such as an eye surgery to get him or her to see again, he or she should go for it.
What about sexual orientations, you may ask? Oh, boy. This topic will be controversial.
Our writer is a Christian who believes in God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. Let me rephrase that. Ash J. knows that God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are real. If you do not agree with her, that is fine. You are entitled to your own opinion. But just because you are entitled to your opinion does not mean that Ash J. is not entitled to hers.
She believes in God's Word. So when it comes to sexual orientations, people who do not know what she knows or think that she is a racist pig - yes, I bet that some of you think of her that way - will strongly disagree with her.
The town of Forlot follows God's instructions. That is why there are no non-binary, transgender, bisexual, or gay characters in this series or any books that she writes. Those ideologies go against God. Now, that is not to say that our writer does not love or care about people who are non-binary, bisexual, transgender, or gay. The Lord commands us to love one another regardless of our beliefs because it will make us better people. Ash J. is not going to go up to a gay person and force him or her to be straight. That is not right.
Marriage is between a man and a woman. If one person is white and the other is black, that is fine as long as one is the man and the other is a woman. You may think that I am sounding harsh. The truth is that I am not. All the Forlot characters agree with this and take the Lord seriously.
So why am I bringing such a serious topic into this book?
Have you ever noticed that fictional franchises have lame heroes and villains? I am not talking about franchises that were created way back in the nineties. I am referring to the ones that some people are writing about that fit with what they believe is right. It would not be a big deal if these same people created something original. But nope. They take original masterpieces and change it to the point that they are unrecognizable.
Do not know what I am talking about? Let us use the Forlot series as an example. Let us say that Ash J. leaves this planet. No more Forlot books, right? Unfortunately, you would be wrong.
A group - if you do not know which one, look it up - comes along and decides that they want to continue the Forlot series. After some greedy person gives them the go, the people of this group write a new set of Forlot books. But here is the thing. Those books are not Forlot material. This bozo group changed everything that made the original Forlot series special. All the characters are genderless and gay, and all the boys, especially the ones who are white, are evil. The worst part is that they killed off Caleb. And the books are absolutely boring. And Christianity is illegal in Forlot.
I wish that I was exaggerating, but I am not. There are people who do this in the real world. Heck, they would force me and Mary Sue to be in a romantic relationship.
Do not get any ideas, fanfiction writers.
Diversity - the character, not the word - is like that group. She tricks the townsfolk into believing that she is all for diversity, and they will defend her no matter how racist she is.
I found a complete biography of Diversity and discovered that Diversity is not her full name. It is Forced Diversity. How am I not in utter shock?
I slammed my fists on the keyboard. "We have to put a stop to her," I said. "I have to defeat her."
"You do realize that Diversity has magical powers," Mary Sue pointed out. "You do not."
"I will think of something. She cannot get away with what she has done."
I was about to pry myself out of the chair when I noticed a piece of paper sticking out from a folder that was on the desk. I pulled the paper out and read the heading. In bold letters, this is what it said:
"And Dr. Maxwell and I Lived Happily Ever After."
It had my "dad's" name in the title, so why else would I be curious? I leaned back in the chair and skimmed the article.
"Hmm. That is weird."
"What is weird, Ada?" Mary Sue asked.
"This article is like a fanfiction gone wrong. Whoever wrote this shipped that Katrina girl with my father."
"Does it say who wrote it?"
I shook my head. "It does not say."
I continued skimming...and my eyes widened.
