Chapter Forty-Six

Six months later, I had the title of the greatest villain in the fictional world and two powerful people working for me. Actually, only one was helping me out. I will get to that shortly.

Receiving the title from the other villains was not easy no matter how much I wanted it to be. Even though that I did what no other villain could do and defeated Diversity, I unfortunately still had a ton of trials to go through. I had to battle and win against both the popular and powerful villains. Luckily for me, I learned their tactics fairly quick and used my new powers to take them down.

I, Ava Campbell, was now and still am on top of all fictional villains. Slapi and I decided to celebrate by getting new recruits and planning fun and evil things behind the eyes of the Forlot law. This was really my brother's idea, but he was okay with letting me take credit.

Slapi and I were in a restaurant and waiting to be served. We were discussing about our new, secret business and asking each other if we knew anybody in the town who could be perfect to join us.

"You mentioned about some girl named Katrina," Slapi said. "Are you still blackmailing her?"

I smirked and flipped my hair. "I am way ahead of you, brother of mine."

As if on cue, a young adult came over to our table. She waved to Slapi and said hi to him, but when she noticed me, her face immediately went pale.

I gave her a creepy wave. "Hello, Katrina. So nice of you to finally join us."

Katrina had her cellphone in her hand. Her glasses slid down, and she pushed them back up. "Wait a minute. Are you the one who called me?"

"You mean the mysterious call that ordered you to come here?"

"Yes!" She put her phone away and rested her palms on the table. "I should have known that it was you the moment that you threatened to blackmail me."

I crossed my arms. "Do not blame me for your stupidity. I would not even be blackmailing you if you kept your important documents in a better location."

She slid into the booth that my brother was sitting in and leaned forward. "What the heck do you want?"

"I am so glad that you asked. It is not what I want. It is what you want."

"The only thing that I desire is to please Hugo Maxwell." She uttered a sigh of happiness. "I need him to notice me and see how wonderful I am."

"Oh. So you are a villain too," Slapi commented.

"What? No. I am far from being a villain."

"You sure?" He pulled a book out of thin air and flipped through the pages. "Says in the Forlot guidebook that you are a villain."

"Pfft! What does the writer know?"

"Uh, a lot. None of us would be here without her."

"Typical. That writer and Lean Share caused the Lubriem's death."

That is how I found out about the Lubriem and the popular ghost named Lean Share. Can you readers guess where this is heading?

Katrina was in shock that I had no clue who Lean Share and the Lubriem were. They were the talk of the town and had close connections with each other. The Lubriem was a girl who loved the fictional world and its people. She turned her back on the real worlders when they needed her the most and left them for dead.

"Was the Lubriem a villain?" Slapi asked Katrina.

"She was never a villain. She was a poor soul who was sadly not loved by the real worlders. I despise them, however, I despise Lean Share even more."

"And who exactly is Lean Share?" I asked. "You just told me that she is a ghost."

"Oh my gosh. Lean is one of the worst characters, if not the worst, in this series. She is full of herself and does not put others first. She has a cold heart and does not regret doing what she did to the Lubriem."

"You said earlier that she killed the Lubriem."

"As plain as day. I saw it with my own eyes, but no one believes me. Because our writer created her first, all the creations after her have to worship her and all that crub."

A brilliant idea came to mind. "I am happy that you told me about this ghost girl and her crime. If you join my team, I promise that justice will be served."

Katrina quirked an eyebrow. "Are you saying that you will kill her or put her in jail?"

I shook my head. "I have something else better in mind."

Two hours after Katrina, Slapi, and I had lunch, I stood by a bus stop and was waiting. No, I was not waiting for the bus. I had used a pay phone to make an important call and was expecting a visitor.

From the corner of my eye, I saw a blue tail. It is the kind of tail that you would find on a ghost. I lifted my head towards the sky and spotted her. Spotted the ghost girl. Her skin was blue, and her hair was a mix of purple and dark blue. She floated to the ground, and I took note that she was a few inches taller than me.

"Please tell me that it is not you who called me," Lean said.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I replied.

"It is not directed towards you...what is your name?"

"Ava. Ava Campbell."

"Ah. You are the villain who defeated Diversity and a bunch of other villains to be the best villain ever."

"You are correct. And you are Lean Share. You are stubborn and killed the Lubriem off."

She laughed. "Is that what people think of me? That I am stubborn? Boy, they do not know my true self."
