Chapter Twenty-Two

——————————————————————————
If you felt bad for Jorgie Special way back in book five, I promise that you will feel worse for Jorgina Unique. But before we dive into Jorgina's backstory, you should know the differences between her and Jorgie.

Jorgina had a condition known as Tayanna, which is similar to Tenomeya. Tayanna produces every condition and every disease that normal people have. Jorgina can be blind, have cancer, and so much more. You are now probably wondering why you should feel worse for this character. She is going through what Jorgie has been fighting, right? Not exactly.

There is one major difference between the two conditions that changes the perspective. Tenomeya cannot be spread to other people. If produced by Tenomeya, those conditions and diseases cannot be transmitted. Tayanna, on the other hand, can be passed to an unsuspecting person. For example, if a person has cancer that is produced by Tayanna, then that said cancer can be given to another person whether or not that individual has a history of cancer.

Most of Jorgina's life had been filled with people who either feared her or bullied her to the point where she burst into tears. Tayanna was the sole reason why she was in the mental asylum. She was not mentally ill. And no, she was not a killer. But because so many called her a murderer, she believed that she was.

The good news was that her family and her boyfriend loved her regardless of her Tayanna. They would always try their best to make her smile. Unfortunately for Jorgina, good things do not last when you have Tayanna.

Jorgina was born with Tayanna, however, it did not begin ruining her life until the age of six. Before, she was a normal and good child. She did outstanding at school and loved to write Forlot fanfictions, especially ones where she shipped Jorgie and Calvin. She had a pure soul, and one boy seemed to think the same thing.

The boy's name was Carter Carswell. He was a year older than her, and his family was pretty wealthy and owned a huge car shop. He loved everything about Jorgina and wanted to talk with her, but was afraid that he would mess up. He finally built up his courage to go up to her. They were at school and in the library. Carter was standing by one of the shelves and searching for a particular book, and Jorgina was at a table and writing another Jorgie x Calvin fanfiction.

Carter took in a deep breath and walked over to her. "Hello."

Jorgina looked up at him and smiled. "Hi."

"You must be Jorgina Unique. I am Carter Carswell."

"Carter Carswell?" She set down her pen. "Wait a minute. You are in my writing class."

He nodded. "That class is my favorite."

"Ooh! Do you like writing too?"

"Not really. It is not one of my strengths. I only like that class because you are in it."

Now Jorgina was suspicious. She quirked an eyebrow. "What are you implying? Do you like me or something?"

"Actually, yes. I was hoping that you and I could hang out later today."

"Dude. I am six, and you are...how old are you?"

"Seven."

"I am six, and you are seven. We are too young to go on a date."

"I am aware, which is why I suggested that we hang out. We can learn about each other."

She snorted. "That will be a challenge." She gasped. "Shoot! I forgot to put on my face mask."

Carter watched as she rummaged through her backpack and pulled out a yellow face mask. She placed it over her nose and mouth.

"Might I ask why you wear a face mask? I could not help but notice that you wear it a lot. Are you contagious or something?"

"You could say that."

"What do you have? A virus?"

"Tons of viruses. And all types of cancer. I am also blind, deaf, and paralyzed."

"I am confused. How are you deaf when you can easily hear me?"

"I am not deaf right now. It goes on and off. Same with the other diseases and conditions that I have."

He was even more confused. "What is wrong with you?"

Jorgina reached into her backpack and pulled out a folder with some documents inside. She always carried her documents around in case that those around her did not take her seriously. She handed him the folder, and Carter opened it and skimmed through the papers. It was then that he learned of her condition. Tayanna was why she had to wear a face mask and had no friends.

"You must think that my doctors are crazy," Jorgina commented.

Carter rested his hand on top of hers and said, "You poor thing."

Carter became her first true friend. He was her only friend so far and spent more time with her than with his own family. His parents kind of accepted Jorgina into their lives. Sadly, that was before they found out about her Tayanna.

Jorgina and her parents were at home and playing a game together, when their telephone rang. The dad went over to it and answered the call. A female voice that was panicking was on the other end, and the father soon hung up and told the news to his wife and daughter.

"That was Carter's mother on the phone. Carter is in the hospital."

Jorgina had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. Was she the reason why her closest friend was in the hospital?

Jorgina changed face masks, and her dad drove the three of them to the hospital. Jorgina was the first to jump out of the car and run into the building. She rushed to Carter's room, but was instead greeted by two furious grownups. They were Carter's mom and dad.

The mother slapped Jorgina's face as hard as she could. "This is your fault! You gave my son leukemia!"
