They're Called Tears

Leila's P.O.V.

I feel some type of light hit my eyes. I groan and peek through to see Luna standing before me, the sun hasn't risen yet, but she turned on my room's light. "Time to wake up!" She exclaims. I pull the cover over my head.

"I dun wunna." I mumble tiredly. She pulls the cover off of me. "Hey, It's waayy too early for this Luna." I say, rubbing my eyes and yawning.

"Come on, Leila. It's only 6:00 Plus, Slender said you can go hunting with me!" I sit up and grin at her.

"Really?"

"Yeah! Now hurry up and change, I'll do your hair and make-up. I want to make it back in time for breakfast at eight." I do so. I changed my schedule so that I now take a shower right before I go to bed, that way I won't feel dirty in the morning.

"There! All done!" She smiles at me then drags me out my room and down the steps to the first floor. I barely was able to grab my sword. As we were passing in front of BEN on the couch, I noticed Hoodie by the door to the dining room. I hven't seen him since dinner yesterday.

"Hey Hoodie!" I exclaim, waving my free hand slightly. He looks at me then turns his body and walks into the dining room. As Luna pushes me me out the door, I look back confused to his actions. He probably didn't see me, I shrug it off.

"Off we go!" Luna say, and we begin walking to the center of the forest. 30 minutes go by when I notice that the trees have no similarity at all to when I went with Hoodie, even though we seem to be going the same way.

"Hey, Luna? What's up with the trees?"

"What do you mean, Leila?" She casts me a quick glance before looking ahead again.

"I mean, I don't recognize this part at all." She laughs a bit.

"Well, you only went outside twice."

"I guess you're right." I might've been mistaken, but I could've sworn I heard her sigh. But then again, just at that moment we heard some dead leaves crack. I hide behind  a bush to see who it is. As I peer, I notice there is a gravel road beyond the bush. Strange, I never saw a road made of gravel while I was with Luna.

Traveling on the road there is a girl and guy. Both seem to be about the same age, yet they don't look like teenagers. Luna passes me the sign that means she'll go after the boy, I had to learn sign language from the pastas while in training so we could alert each other if something was wrong without giving ourselves away.

I go down the road a little bit to a tree where they'll pass by. I then hear Luna throw a rock across from us to startle the two.

"Babe! I'm getting scared! Maybe we should go back?" The girl asks, there are tears on the rim of her eyes.

"Don't worry! I'll protect you!" He replies to the startled girl, trying to seem tough. The girl the smiles and goes a little back from my tree, but close enough so I could pounce on her. She picks up something from the floor and turns around to say something to her 'boyfriend', when Luna jumps out. I decide I should take care of her also.

I jump down from the tree wielding my sword just as she screams. Her being cut off from my sword -literally. I cut her in half, the sword only going down halfway this time. I cut off the rest and her body splits in two, blood oozing out from her and her intestines visible. I look up to see Luna also done.

"I should really work on the whole 'cutting them fully in half' thing without embarrassing myself." I tell her.

"No, I think it's better that way. You decision though." She smiles at me before we start heading back. We slowed our pace a little, enjoying our time out.

~Minor time skip~

We soon approach the mansion. Once Luna opens the door, I see Masky sitting on the couch, watching BEN play some game.

"Hey Masky, back already?"

"Course, plus it's almost time to eat, in about five minutes."

"We better go clean up, come on, I'll teach you how to wash dry blood off of yourself." Luna says, pulling me up the stairs.

Afterwards, Luna and I go into the dining room to eat breakfast. I see that Masky and Hoodie switched seats today. I sit down and after placing a napkin on my lap, greet him.

"Hey Hoodie!" I say smiling at him. He just inhales and exhales deeply. I eat a piece of the brisket that Slender has serve us today.

"You alright, Hoodie?" I ask, curious to his behavior as everyone keeps talking, oblivious.

"CAN YOU JUST SHUT UP FOR ONE SECOND, YOU LOUD-MOUTH?" Hoodie screeches at me. I look at him, and feel my eyes begin to sting harshly and then some sort of water around the corners of my eyes that blur my vision. I think they were called tears. The entire table falls silent.

"...Yeah, sure. I'm sorry." I say quietly before placing my fork down. "Uh, I'm not really hungry. Jack, can you tell Slender I'll wash my dish later?" I say nervously as my voice cracks. I give him a smile that I had to force.

"Yeah, sure.." He replies softly. I take the napkin off my lap and quickly leave the room before letting a couple of tears fall.

"YOU LITTLE BITCH!" I hear Luna scream before I see her appear by the door and hurriedly comes to me. "Come on, let's go to you room."

"I-I just- what did I do?" I ask, crying softly as I sit on my bed with Luna by my side.

"It's alright," Luna says, comfortingly. "This is your first time with this kind of experience, just let it out. So next time you'll smash his face in instead." I laugh slightly.

"Is this normal? Why is there water dripping from my ey-" I slump down and hold my head.  feel if Jeff stuck his knife deep into my skull. I shut my eyes tightly and I see... a girl. She looks to be about 7 or 8. he's laying on the floor, mangled. Blood is everywhere. We seem to be on a.. playground? No one else is around. But, my vision adjusts to what I think is me looking up to see a tall man who appears to be Slender. Just then my body is turned around and I am tackled to the floor. I hear is a woman sobbing deeply, repeatedly saying 'Why?' I feel something tight go around my wrists.

"You have the right to remain silent when questioned. Anything you say or do may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult an-" A voice chants, before being cut off.

"LEILA!" I am shaken by Luna, I regain my self-awareness and come to realize I had been screaming. Standing in the doorway is Jack and Toby, both staring at me intently. Toby seems as if he wants to cry also, before rushing out, knocking something over in the hallway.

"Are you okay?" Jack asks me.

"Huh?" I blink. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you Jack." I smile at him.

"No problem?" He says before shutting the door and leaving.

"Leila, your eyes." Luna says. Just then I notice another stinging in them.

"What about them?" I squint due to the slight pain.

"They're white." I get up and hurriedly go to my mirror. My iris is white while my pupils remain black. I watch as they slowly fade back to my brown color.

"Great another thing to talk to Slender about."

"Well, that and the fact that they were a deep shade of blue while you were crying," I looked over at her. She holds up her arms in defense. "I thought it was bad time to bring it up!"

"Fair enough."

"Are you going to tell him now?" She questions.

"Nope. Save that for later." I wink at her and we smile at each other. "What now?"

"Well, are you still pissed at Hoodie?"

"Sort of. I was more hurt than anything."

"Either way I have an idea, come on." She smiles evilly then gestures for me to sit on the bed with her, and I oblige.

3rd Person's P.O.V.

The hooded man sits in his boss' office once again. This time after breakfast.

"How'd it go?" The tall, faceless man asks.

"It went as planned. Her eyes slowly turned dark blue, sir." He answers his boss, hiding how ashamed he was.

"I see. So my theory was correct?"

"It appears so, sir."

"Continue on for the rest of the day, make her experience different emotions. We need to fully make sure of this before we send her off. Though, I don't think her power will be of much use. Remember Hoodie, you may not tell anyone of this. Not even Masky."

"Of course, sir."

"Also, on the other matter we spoke of yesterday. Remember that that is a one time exception. While she is there I want you to watch after her. Become her 'BFF' if you must, but do not make her suspicious. I want you to become close to her. Close enough that she'll trust you enough to tell you of all her plans, and all the memories she is regaining. Start thi-" The pale man is cut off by the sound of high-pitch scream.

"Ah, there's probably one right now."

"That's her, sir?"

"Yes. As I was saying, start this tomorrow. After our little 'expirement.'"

"Right on it, sir."

"You are dismissed." And with that, Hoodie left the room. He felt bad for what he was assigned to do to Leila. But he was a proxy, this was what he lived for.

(A/N: How are y'all liking the 3rd person point of view? Do you think I should instead put it directly under Hoodie's point of view? Thanks for reading!)
