Episode 1- Mind Your Gnome Business
Dipper was bored. He was laying on his bed in his room in Bill's fearamid. Dipper had read every book Bill had and was now bored out of his mind.
"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8," he counted. Counting was what he did when he was bored. "14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22," Dipper looked at the clock. 12: 30. Wait 12:30?! He was late! Dipper grabbed his cane, and attempted to fix his hair. Dipper ran out the door of his room and strait out of the fearamid. He flew as he ran to his post. From 12:15 to 2:00 Dipper would wonder around the nightmare realm getting rid of intruders. He had powers like any other demon, but he didn't look like any other demons. He walked around his area for about a half hour before finding some one. It was the Traveler. Or at least that is what Dipper called him. He had gray hair and wore a black jacket and clothes. He had six fingers on each hand.
"Hey! Your on Cipher's land," said Dipper sneaking up behind him.
"Leave me alone demon!" Said the traveler turning around pointing his laser gun thingy and Dipper. Dipper stared at him. Why would the traveler dare to try attack him?
"Let me repeat- your on Cipher's land, get off," said Dipper he readied a blue fire ball in his hand.
"Well I'm trying to get out of here if you didn't notice," said the Traveler.
"You have 2 minutes, find a way out," said Dipper.
"Why are you doing this?" Asked the Traveler.
"Doing what?" Responded Dipper, confused.
"Why are you giving me time? Most of Bill's hench-maniacs would kill me in an instant," Said the Traveler, studying Dipper.
"I'm not like most Hench-maniacs, but that is what makes me special. I'm Bill's most trusted demon," replied Dipper, " 1 minute left," he added. The Traveler turned around and ran away from Dipper, out of the nightmare realm.

When Dipper's shift was done he was heading back to the fearamid when he spotted a small rip. This was his chance. Every couple days a tiny rift would open, just big enough for him to slip through into a place called the Human realm. Dipper would stay in the woods, always running if a human came near.
Remember Pinetree, humans can't be trusted. They'll trick you to get what the want. Bill had told Dipper that when he was little. Even now Dipper still followed that rule. Dipper looked around, no one was watching. Good. He jumped into the small rip in space.

Mabel was knitting yet another sweater. She had well over a hundred. This time she was making one with a shooting star. As she finished it she slipped in on over her shirt. She went down stairs to show her Grunkle Stan.
"What's up Kiddo," he said as she walked into the kitchen were he was drinking his morning coffee.
"Do you like my new sweater?" Asked Mabel proudly.
"It looks nice," said Stan.
"Hey Mabel, cool sweater, said Wendy walking in.
"Hiya Wendy!" Mabel waved at the red head.
"Why are you here now, work doesn't start for another hour," said Stan.
"I'm gonna start giving those forest tours, remember? I'm gonna do my route one more time. Wanna come Mabel?" Asked Wendy.
"Sure!" Exclaimed Mabel. The two girls walked out the door and into the woods.
"So we would typically have the golf cart, but we're gonna walk at the moment," said Wendy as the two walked deeper into the woods. When the friends were passing by a big tree Mabel slipped and hit her head on the tree. It made a dull thunk. Rubbing her head Mabel knocked on the tree. Thunk, thunk, thunk.
"It sounds like the tree's made of metal," commented Wendy coming closer. Mabel felt along the trunk until she found a small gap. She opened it inside was a weird machine doohickey.
"Whoa," gasped Mabel.
"I dare you to flick a lever," said Wendy. Mabel looked at the mess of buttons and levers. Flicking one of the levers Mabel heard something open behind her. Turning around Mabel saw that a trap door had opened. The two girls peaked in. A red book with a golden six fingered hand. It had the number three on it. Mabel picked it up and flipped through the pages.
"What does it say?" Asked Wendy peaking over Mabel's shoulder. Mabel turned to a random page and started to read aloud.
"It's hard to believe it's been six years since I began researching the strange and wondrous secrets of Gravity Falls, Oregon," Mabel read aloud.
"Keep going," urged Wendy.
" In all my travels, never have I observed so many curious things! Gravity Falls is indeed a geographical oddity," read Mabel. She started to look closely at the other pages, reading there titles," Floating eyeballs, Beard cubs, scampfires, stomach-faced duck. What the..."
"There have alway been weird things, but paranormal?" Said Wendy, "What's on the last page?"
"It's blank," said Mabel turning to the very last page.
"How about the last one with writing. It took a minute of turning pages but Mabel found it.
"Unfortunately, my suspicions have been confirmed. I'm being watched. I must hide this book before He finds it. Remember- In Gravity Falls there is no one you can trust. Trust No One!" Read Mabel.
"Can I read?" Asked Wendy.
"Sure!" Said Mabel handing her the book.
"He's trying to control me. Trying to write in my journal during the few minutes I'm asleep. I have gambled with my future and perhaps humanity's future as well. No more writing. The time has come to bury this tome. After that, all there is left to do is wait for S. And save the world. Or lose my life in effort." Wendy read, "Wow, that's a bit dark."
"Wait does this mean there really is paranormal activity? I though that was made up by Stan making the locals believe in it," said Mabel.
"It does explain a lot of the urban legends, like the Plaidypus, or the Hide Behind. Maybe even the ghost boy," commented Wendy.
"What's the ghost boy?" Asked Mabel.
"Come on, you've lived here your whole life. Have you never seen the ghost boy?" Asked Wendy. Mabel shook her head. "I saw him once, He hides in the trees silently watching you, never speaks or makes a sound, he is said to disappear into thin air if you get to close, all you can see from the shadows is his outline and his bright glowing golden eyes."
"Whoa," said Mabel fascinated.
"Well, I better head back to the Shack for work," said Wendy turning around and walking away.
"See you later!" Called Mabel. Mabel started to read more of the journal. Studying it closely. Over time she got the feeling that she was being watched.
"Who's there?" She asked looking around. She heard a noise from the bushes, "Hello?" She asked. Suddenly a boy with pale skin and a black hoodie came out of the bushes.
"Hi," he said in a strange voice, he stumbled as he walked up to Mabel.
"Uh... hi?" Responded Mabel.
"So like, what's your name?" He asked.
"I'm not answering until you tell me yours," said Mabel suspicious.
"I'm... Normal Man!" He said.
"You mean like Norman?" Asked Mabel.
"Ya," Norman replied,
"Well I'm Mabel," she said holding out her hand. Norman stared at it. "It's a hand shake silly." Norman put his hand in her hand and the shook hands, it was extremely awkward.
"Uh, I got to go but, wanna like meet up again?" Asked Norman.
"How about outside Greasy's Diner," said Mabel.
"Sure," said Norman walking off. Unknown to the two a pair of golden eyes watched from the shadows.
**
Mabel felt that something was off about Norman. She decided to check with the journal, flipping through the pages she started to read the one about zombies.
"Known for their pale skin and bad attitude these creatures are often mistaken for teenagers! Beware Gravity Falls' nefarious zombie!?" Mabel read aloud. She knew why Norman felt off. He wasn't even alive! She needed to trick Norman, then when the time was right she would stop him.
** 2 hours later
Mabel arrived at Greasy's Diner. She saw Norman lean on a tree near the entrance.
"Hi Norman!" Said Mabel. She put on a fake smile approaching the zombie.
"Hello," he said,
"Want to take this to the woods so we can be alone," said Mabel. She needed to get him away from people.
"Sure!" Said Norman, he seemed happy to be going into the woods. Probably wants to eat my brains. Thought Mabel. When the two arrived in a small clearing Norman shifted uncomfortably.
"Can I tell you something?" He asked.
"Sure, tell me anything," said Mabel. He's going to reveal that he is a zombie. I don't even need to do anything!
"Just stay calm. Don't freak out," he said. Norman unzipped his jacket. Mabel's eyes widened in surprise. Under the hoodie was gnomes. They were staked on top of each other.
"Is this to weird, do you need to sit down?" Asked the top gnome. Mabel stared at him.
"Okay, let me explain. We're gnomes first off. And We have been looking for a queen and when we saw you in the woods, you were so pretty, so what do you say?" He said, "Will you join us in holy matri-gnomey, I mean matrimony. Blah, can't talk today!"
"Look, Norman-"
"Jeff."
"Look, Jeff. I'm a girl, your gnomes. I was never interested soooooo, I'm gonna have to say no," said Mabel.
"We understand," said Jeff. Mabel smiled softly. "Because we're gonna kidnap you!" The gnomes jumped on Mabel tying her to the ground with rope.
"Hey!" Shouted a voice from the trees. Mabel and the gnomes looked up.
"It's Dipper!" Shouted one of the gnomes.
"Retreat!" Shouted another.
"Wait come back!" Shouted Jeff as 3 gnomes ran off.
"Stay away from the girl!" Shouted the voice. Then a boy about Mabel's age jumped out of the tree, he wore a yellow suit and a black bow tie he had messy brown hair and golden eyes. He held a cane in his hand. He swung it like a golf club, hitting a gnome in the face sending it flying.
"Hey! Stop that!" Shouted Jeff. The boy hit another gnome.
"Shmebulock!" It shouted as it soared over the tree tops.
"Want more, gnomes?" Asked the boy. He hit another gnome.
"Gnomes of the forest, run!" Shouted Jeff scampering off into the woods. The boy walked to were Mabel was tied up.
"Are you okay?" He asked untying her.
"I think so. Who are you?"
"I'm Dipper," he replied.
"I'm Mabel," said Mabel, "Your the ghost boy."
"What?" Asked Dipper, confused.
"Wendy told me about a ghost boy who hides in the shadows, he has glowing golden eyes and you fit the description," said Mabel.
"Well, I'm not a ghost," said Dipper. Mabel felt that she knew him but couldn't figure out were.
"Well, see you later," said Mabel.
"Bye," he waved.
**
Dipper liked the girl, she was nice. Maybe Bill was wrong, humans weren't that bad. Right?
My fingers are dead, every time the journal was read I copied word for word what was in my journal 3. This was way longer that I expected it to be. I was aiming for 700 words and I wrote 1969 words instead, your welcome. Also it broke my mind writing Traveler instead of Ford so tell me if I messed up and called him Ford on accident. Thanks for reading. This au is underrated.
