Rewrite stands on a podium dressed all fancy like. A dance-pop song plays in the background.
Everyone who hears it groans and takes cover because they all can't stand the song.
They hated being trolled.
But not Rewrite.
She plays on, dancing to the catchy tune.
Because she truly loves this 1987 song.
Y'all are haters!
Sorry for taking so long to write this. I'm literally procrastinating and taking my sweet time on this. And I'm distracted playing on my switch and work. This rank list book is not on my top to-do list. So I'll update whenever I feel like.
Let's just get into this shall we? Let's talk about...
Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018)
I have talked about this movie when it first came out and I want to share y'all what I wrote back in 2018.
{{{Just watch Ralph Breaks the Internet today (November 20th 2018!!!) I waited SO LONG to watch this movie ever since I heard about!
And boy was it worth the wait!
Sparky: What's up with you seeing movies a day before its release in theaters?
Me: Because I'm crazy.
No spoilers of course but I do have to say this:
PLEASE!
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
STAY TILL THE END CREDITS!
YOU
WILL
NOT
BE
DISAPPOINTED!
STAY FOR THE END CREDITS!
Disney KNEW what they where doing.
The Disney Princesses where EVERYTHING and my entire group I saw with (my mom, sibling, a friend and her mom) literally geeked out throughout the Disney scenes and the Princesses. The scene still has a lot of heart, chemistry, and humor that makes fun of them singing in a tasteful way. The scene is still great and fans will adore it!
I also love how Cinderella admirers Vanellope 's clothes like how the princesses would act in the parks seeing the guests 21st Century clothes. Very nice detail I noticed.
We where the only ones cheering for the caffeination guy when he popped up in the credits.
Love ya Carlos Benavides. Disney has respect for him!
RESPECT!
Looking for Easter eggs and cameos?
Don't worry. You'll see them. Because they're RIGHT IN FRONT of YOUR face. And if it was a snake it'll bite you.
Product placement is out there but then again just like the first movie.
The attention to every little detail in the movie is VERY impressive. I love how the design the internet just how they did it in Inside Out with your mind.
Oh Disney.
I love all the characters! Felix and Calhoun are so cute! <3
My sibling and our friend now has a crush on Shank like:
When the movie ended, it did made me have a warm feeling inside me like the first. I had no idea that was the thing Disney was going to do but you can learn from it and makes you feel good. And sad too at the same time if you don't like change and all....}}}
Wow, cringey. Did my thoughts changed afterwards?
Uh yeah! Very much indeed....in a bad way.
Why bad? Wellllllll the movie takes place in the internet and unfortunately this ages the movie the moment it came out.
And that's sad!
And it's been five years!?!? FIVE EFFING YEARS!
Do you think kids today will know or get the references of the internet or who the celebrities are? Nope!
The biggest miss opportunity, was that they should have gotten Thomas Sanders. Still angry about that.
Also, the characters. Oh my gosh! The characters, every single one of them, are off. They don't act like themselves from the first movie, which by they way of you can't tell, is much more superior than this.
Like Ralph, for example, is such a big whiny baby and can't let his friend go! I mean sure that happens in real life and it's hard but that's not how Ralph acted in the first movie!
GAH!
On that note, there are a ton of reviews about this movie and why it's bad.
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
I could just list the cons of this movie, but I already have been putting this off for too long and everything I think about it, makes me want to cringe. WHY WAS THIS MADE!?
But, I can't lie when I say that this movie is watchable.
Sparky: Gasp!
Rewrite: Yeah I said it. It's hard to explain that I will watch it when I'm in the mood or if it's on tv. It's okay.
The movie does have some nice scenes that I enjoy a lot, like Vanellope's song and the entire aspect of Slaughter Race.
I even had to ask my sibling if they still have a crush on Shank. The answer is yes. And our friend, who we saw this this in theaters and who is a lesbian, says "yes a little. She's really cool and hot."
So....Disney knew what they where doing.
Even the "Never Gonna Give You Up," end credits still gets me.
Ummmm I think that's all I have to say. I should have really list this movie below "Stange World." But their is this one thing that I and literally everyone loves about this movie.
And it's the Disney's princesses and how they got MOST of their original voice actors.
I remember when they showed images before the trailers that they where going be in the movie and it's all I could think about until the movie came out. I was that obsessed. They are the backbone of "Ralph Breaks the Internet," and everyone knows it.
According to a now deleted article and a tumblr post; "At New York Comic Con, they played a somewhat different version of the Disney Princesses scene. The part where they explain the importance of breaking into song is gone and instead, they shout down Ariel for her random singing. There's a moment when some of the princesses explain how they have to hide certain tics from the public, like how Snow White is legally blind without her glasses (explaining why she's always side wide-eyed and has her hands out) and Jasmine is allergic to cats despite owning a pet tiger. Before leaving, Vanellope tries to pet Meeko, who instead angrily growls at her as Pocahontas warns her that he bites."
I really wish Disney would release that version because I want to see these princesses that we all know and love be relatable and attached to!
It also explains why Snow White had glasses and Jasmine with a inhaler in the toy packaging.
Oh wait a minute, doesn't Disney + exist? Hey DISNEY-!
And the ending where the princesses all help out, is literally the greatest thing ever and I always cheer while watching them save Ralph!
So that is why I rank this movie above "Strange World" even though I say that is the better movie. I'm drain now and I'm going to end this here.
Do you agree? What are your thoughts on the movie or have you seen it yet? Love to hear from all of y'all's thoughts as well!
Always be a D.R.E.A.M. (Disney Rules Everything Around Me)
