Clint's pov

I sat up on the walkway observing the scene below me. Multiple scientists rushed around to find the source of the problem. Something was wrong with the tesseract, everyone seemed clear though.

"Hey Clint" a voice said grabbing my attention. It was Tyra. I smiled at the 14-15 year old. Still don't know her age.. Dammit!..

She smiled back showing her fangs like usual but pulling her mask over her mouth to hide them.

She pulled her hood down and sat beside me, one of her legs hanging off the edge. She pulled the ram infernos her long brown hair out of her hood and shook it into its natural place.

"You need me to fill you in kid?" I asked.

"Nope. Heard fury screaming about it so I've got the goods." She said. "The whole tesseract thing is stupid anyway. Why would you knock on a door when you don't want an answer.. Anyways, how's the family? You were gone for a whole month this time" she asked.

"Aww there great. The kids miss you a lot. Laura said she wants you to come over next time. Also kid take off the mask. No one cares about your fangs" I told her.

"But it's comfy!" She told me while messing with a pocket knife she had.

I stopped her and she looked at me. "You had the nightmares while I was gone didn't you?.." I asked.

"Maybe.." She replied, looking away from me. I sighed. I hate when she does this.

"Tyra it's ok. Your not there anymore and didn't I promise you that we'd both but an arrow between those bastards eyes?" I asked her.

She laughed a bit. "Not if I shoot you first" she said jokingly.

"Oh is that a challenge? The apprentice wants to fight the master !" I said back.

"Master? Your arrows couldn't be slower !" She yelled back. I chuckled a bit and ruffled her hair.

Our fun was I erupted by our comincators going off.

"Agent Barton, Tyra, report." Fury ordered.

Tyra sighed. "Walk tall dark and mean wants to see us. Let's go" she said getting up. I set up a grappling wire and we both slit down and walked to fury. We walked around the room in a discreet manor while I noticed Tyra looking at everything curiously. I smiled slightly.

"I gave you this detail so you could keep a close eye on things." Fury told me sternly.

"Well, I see better from a distance." I informed him.

"Are you seeing anything that might set this thing off?" He asked me and I glanced around quickly.

"Doctor, it's spiking again" i saw a scientist say to debug as they rushed to the tesseract.

"No one's come or gone. It's oven is clean. No contacts, no I.M.'s. If there was any tampering, sir, it wasn't at this end." I said stopping.

"At this end?" He asked me.

"Yeah, the cube is a doorway to the other end of space, right?" I asked remembering what Tyra had said to me earlier. "The doors open from both sides."

Tyra's PoV

I stared at the scientist curiously as he likes at the tesseract.

"You shouldn't do that" I said.

"Why?" He asked.

"Well personally mate I don't wanna knock on a door when I don't know who will answ-" I was about to say till lightening sparks shot from the tesseract and the whole building shook.

"Is it supposed to do that?!" I screamed.

No one answer me. I back away out of pure common sense yet never took my eyes off it.

It's energy builds up into a beam, which hits at the end of a platform that is wired to the CMS device. The great maelstrom beam fires the tesseracts energy. The beam then forms a vortex, which then opens up a portal.

That can't be good...

A black hole is created. From the portal, the blackness of Space, beautiful and mysterious, strewn with a billion stars, which slightly drew me in, appears and a gust of blue energy clouds fill the room, blinding everyone. I coughed a bit from the cloud of unknown dust.

I couldn't see anything!.. Then it was uncomfortably quiet.

I finally heard a noise but it wasn't one I wanted to hear. Heavy breathing. The clouds cleared and a man stood there..

He looked so familiar..

SHIELD guards slowly approach, weapons in hands. The man is kneeling on the platform, smoke coming off it. From my basic training I take out my bow and load it, going over to Clint, selvig and fury to protect them.

He smiled in a mischievous manner, he raises his head. The smile on his face dies down. Yet I amn't letting my guard down that easily !

He looks deep into the eyes of Fury, Barton and Selvig. Then me... It's as if he was studying me.. The hell?!..

He stands up, holding some sort of scepter.

Fury stepped forward. "Sir, please put down the spear!" He yelled.

He looks at his spear then suddenly points it at where Fury and Barton are standing and shoots out a blue exploding light towards them.

I froze as Clint tackled us to the ground it barely misses us.

Next all hell broke loose. Machine gun fire is shot at the man, but the bullets bounce off him. He jumped up high in the air and attacked those who shot at him. I still had my bow aimed get a part of me told me not to shoot.. The other part was screaming to.

In the blink of an eye, he'd taken down several guards with his scepter. He stops and waits to see who will attack him next. Honestly, the whole lab has almost gone to shit.

Suddenly I felt weak and I stumbled backwards into the railing behind me. Holding it for support.

Clint stood up and looked at me as my vision blurred and focused repeatedly.

"Kid.. Kid look at me.. It's ok, I'm here, just breath.." He told me. Was I have a panic attack?..

The unknown man quickly walks towards us. Clint took out his gun and aimed, but the man grabbed his and pinning him beside me.

"You have heart." The man said to him.

"Clint.." I said and I started to focus again but what I saw made me freeze. He put the blade on his spear against Clint's chest. At first I thought he was going to stab him but Clint's eyes went black and I stumbled back in suprise.

They then became a piercing blue, similar to mind. Barton put his gun away and stood straight. What the ?...

The man left doing the same yo many other people but I didn't care. I shook Clint.

"Clint.. Come in bud talk to me! Clint!" I yelled. He didn't do anything.

I saw fury grabbing the tesseract, putting it in its case and going to leave and abandon all of his allies. I growled. That bastard!

"Please don't. I still need that." The man said. Fury froze turning around. I glared at him. I picked up my now loading it again.

"This doesn't have to get any messier." Fury insisted.

"Of course it does. I've come too far for anything else." The man said. He glanced at me again. "I am Loki of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose." He said.

"Loki? Brother of Thor?" Selvig asked.

"You know him?" I asked.

"We have no quarrel with your people." Fury insisted.

"What people?!" I yelled wanting answers.

"An ant has no quarrel with a boot." Loki said. Wait what?

"You planning to step on us?" Fury asked. Great job captain obvious!!

"I come with glad tidings, of a world made free." Loki said. My heart stopped.

"Free from what?" Fury asked.

"Freedom. Freedom is life's great lie. Once you accept that, in your heart..." Loki said. He stopped for a minute though. Freedom is a lie... The Sam egging that has haunted my nightmare was happening right before my eyes..

Suddenly Levi spun around to delving and did the same thing he'd don't to Clint. No!

"You will know peace." He finished glancing at me.
