"Let's have a good game!" both teams shouted as the game started. The buzzer was heard and the referee threw the ball up into the air. Screams were heard as the captain of Shutoku and Taiga both jumped for the ball. Shutoku got the ball and started on offense. Seirin did their defense with Teppei on the centre. "Get the ball from them!" Junpei ordered as he shifted towards the player with the ball but he passed it to Shintaro who was about to do a 3 pointer when Taiga suddenly appeared and swatted the ball away from him. He quickly sprinted towards the ring and was blocked by the two other players of Shutoku. He surprisingly pass the ball to someone as he ran pass them and someone pass it again to him and he did a dunk.

"Kuroko..." Shintaro pushed up his glasses looking at the sixth player. He was the one doing the passes to Taiga. He did a fist pump with Taiga and smiled. "SEIRIN WAS THE FIRST ONE TO SCORE!!!!" the crowd cheered. The coach smirked proud at the duo. "Go Taicchi! Go Kuro-chan!" Aya cheered by the bench with the other Seirin players. "T-Taicchi?!" Taiga exclaimed popping a nerve and hollering at Aya. "I SAID DON'T CALL ME 'TAICCHI'!!!" The Shutoku players laughed at Taiga's given name while Taiga's enraged aura grew more.

"Ayacchi?" Ryota looked at Aya from the seats. "What's wrong Kise?" Kasamatsu was with him watching the game. 'Ayacchi? Why is she with Seirin?' he thought to himself and watched the game intently. "O-Oi Kise, what's with the serious face?" Kasamatsu wondered but Kise just continued watching the game. Kasamatsu looked at the direction where Kise was looking and saw the girl with purple pony tailed hair. "A girl?" he spoke boredly. He thought Kise was attracted by the girl at the Seirin team.

"Go Taicchi! Go Kuro-chan! Go Seirin!" Aya continued cheering with the other bench players. "I said stop calling me--Ow!" Taiga got hit at the head by Junpei. "Focus on the game you idiot!" he yelled at him as they ran for their offense. The game was heated. Both teams gave their all. They always tied up, and both of their shooting guard's shots were in.

The fight between Midorima and Taiga was intense. Taiga blocking Midorima from his shots. Shutoku always got the ball but Seirin wouldn't let them score. Now, Midorima had the ball and was about to shoot when Taiga jumped up high and tried to block his shot but it was a fake. He ran pass him and positioned himself to shoot but Tetsuya suddenly appeared and slapped the ball from his hands. It took him by surprise.

The buzzer was heard signalling the end of the first quarter. Seirin went to their changing rooms to rest. Riko gathered them all and pulled out a strategy against Shutoku. "Our number one threat is their shooting guard, we have to stop him from doing his 3 pointers, or better off prevent him from shooting" Riko advised. Aya also listened to her with Tetsuya #2 in her arms. Riko finished giving orders and let the players rest for a while. "Taicchi and Kuro-chan are the sweatiest, here let me wipe your sweat" she offered and wiped the sweat on Taiga's head then Tetsuya's. She was smiling while doing it and remembered something. "Huh!" she stared at Tetsuya. "W-What's wrong?" Taiga asked her but she didn't seem to hear him. She remembered something.

"Do your best Kuro-chan! Don't let the opponent spoil your game!" she heard her own voice. "K-Kuro-chan" she stammered. "What is it, Aya-san?" Tetsuya asked looking at her. Her blank face turned into a smile and lightly ruffled Tetsuya's hair. "Do your best, Kuro-chan!" she thumbs up at him as his big blue eyes widened a bit then relaxed. A smile formed on his lips. "Hai" he replied.

'KUROKO SMILED AGAIN!' their teammates thought. Taiga smirked and slung his arm around Tetsuya's shoulder. "Of course he would, we'll be battling against the Generation of Miracles after all" he smirked. "Please get your arm off me" Tetsuya requested.

Meanwhile...

"Ayacchi's here!" Ryota exclaimed dragging Kasamatsu with him as they made their way to Seirin's changing room. "Huh? Who the heck is 'Ayacchi'?" Kasamatsu questioned irritated at Ryota's continuous dragging. They reached the changing room the same time Aya exited the room. "Ayacchi!" Ryota exclaimed seeing the purple haired girl. He tackled her hug as she pushed him away. "O-Oi, let go! What are you doing?" she struggled under his grip as he released her. "Ayacchi? You still don't remember?" Ryota asked as Aya shot him a questioning look. "Remember what?" she wondered. Ryota's face saddened a little and forced a smile. "I'm sorry, I thought you were another person!" he apologized. "Another person? But you were calling me by my name a while ago" Aya snapped still confused. Ryota smiled sheepishly as Aya recognize him. She remembered the dream she had when she was in the school gym of Teiko. She always saw him there practicing. "Ryota Kise" she poked his cheek. She looked at him curiously then tried to remember him in her dreams. "Ryota Kise from the Generation of Miracles right?" she confirmed. Ryota nodded at her statement. 'This guy seems familiar' she thought. "Have we met before?" she asked still scanning his face. "Well we..." "Kise-kun" Tetsuya appeared behind Aya. "Kurokocchi" Kise spoke. "I think the game's about to resume, we need to go" Tetsuya said as he stared eye to eye with Ryota. "I guess I'll see you after the match Kuroko..." Kise uttered turning around and walked away as Kasamatsu followed him. Kasamatsu never seen Ryota like this. He saw he was pained and at the same time mad? What's he mad about?

"Kuro-chan, do you two know each other?" Aya asked as they started to go back to the court. "You can say we used to be former teammates" Tetsuya responded as Aya nodded. "I think I know him... I've dreamt about him once" Aya snapped stopping Tetsuya on his tracks causing Aya to bump onto his back. (she was behind him). "Sorry Aya-san, what did you say?" he asked her. "Oh, I've dreamt about him once, and I've dreamt about that Midorima guy too!" she replied. "Hmm, I think I also saw another guy in my dream but I don't remember who..." she tried to think. “Aya-san" Tetsuya snapped her out of her thinking. She looked at him as his stoned face turned serious. "Promise you'll focus on the game first?" he requested. "Sure" Aya agreed not knowing of his reason.

TETSUYA

She can't think like that. She'd go on relapse, and she'll be in comma again. No, I can't let that happen again. I and my former teammates promised. We'll protect her no matter what. Yes I care about her. Ever since then, she was my friend. But she forgot about it, all of it. The pain, even the most precious memories. She has to remember naturally. "Aya-san" I called her again. She turned to face me. Her face is still the same, but she's loosen some weight. And her hair is always in a ponytail, she was always beautiful. "Will you hang-out with me if we win?" I smiled at her. It's weird; she's one of the special persons that can make me smile. She thought for a moment then smiled. "Okay then, Kuro-chan" It's a deal then. I'll defeat Midorima-kun even if he's my former teammate.
