SWEET MOMENTS OF AYA AND AKASHI :D

The players were practicing as usual and Aya was sitting at the bench, watching them play, with both of her hands cupping her cheeks. The only players left were the Generation of Miracles doing extra training as their coach has told them to do.

As the miracles finished training, Aya approached Akashi and walked with him towards the changing room asking him numerous questions that always seem to irritate him. "Aya, will you please stop following me now, I'm going to take a shower," he commanded. She suddenly stopped as he smirked at her. "Unless, you want to join me?"

"Ehhhh?? No in the heck way! I'm waiting at the gym!" she retorted blushing and stomped her feet while walking back to the gym. "Stupid Akashi! Always making me blush!" she complained to herself and suddenly pass by Shuzo who was at his way out. "Niji-kun!" she called him.

"Oh, Aya, you're still here," Shuzo replied stopping.

"Yeah, I'm waiting for Aka-kun!" she beamed as Shuzo sighed.

"You're really into giving everyone nicknames."

Aya pouted. "What's wrong about that? All the nicknames I give are cute~" she complimented herself as Shuzo let out another sigh.

"You're always waiting for Akashi even though your brother's already graduated from Teiko, what's up with that?" he raised an eyebrow at her.

"What are you trying to say?" she did the same gesture.

Shuzo let out a sigh again. "I'm saying, are you two dating or something?" with that Aya instantly blushed and looked away from the ex-captain of Teiko."Are you?"

"Shut up Niji-kun! I'm going!" she said and walked off with a "hmph". Shuzo shook his head at her childishness. "What is up with people asking me about Aka-kun?" she stomped and re-entered the gym. She saw their coach sitting on the bench as she joined him.

"Oh, Aya, you're still here, waiting for Seijuro as usual eh?" their coach smiled at her. She nodded and looked at the court. Looking at it drowned her with her thoughts. "What's up with the thinking Aya? Is there something bothering you?"

Aya snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the coach. "S-Sorry, what did you say?" she asked.

"I was asking about what your thinking," the coach repeated, smiling at her. She gave a sly one back and uttered: "Nothing, it's nothing"

Akashi was done showering and was about to enter the gym when he heard his coach speak. "Hm, your words say it's nothing but your face..." the coach looked at her. "Tell me, what's wrong Aya?"

"It's nothing, coach, I just thought of something..." she trailed off.

"Aya, tell me, c'mon I'm like your 2nd dad, you can tell me anything," the coach assured giving her a warm smile. She smiled back and looked back at her fingers that were playing each other.

"Well, I just thought... you know, I thought how it feels like to play in competitions, you know... with the  team" she smiled sadly. "How does it feel to play basketball with the team in tournaments" She can't join the basketball club for boys and even play in their games. She just watch "Aya--" her coach looked at her worriedly. "No it's fine coach, I'm okay, don't worry" she smiled. "I'm not gonna--" she sighed. "I'm okay"

Akashi had a sad look and knocked on the door catching Aya and the coach's attention. "Oh, Aka-kun's done, I'll see you tomorrow coach!" she waved goodbye and went over to Akashi as they both started to walk home together. "Hey, Aka-kun, is it okay for you to walk with me?" Aya mentioned. "I mean, nii-san told me that you always had your driver drive you to and from school everyday, even if you have practice. But now, you always walk with me"

Akashi sighed. "Well, because of your stupidity, clumsiness and low IQ. Your brother had to request to me to take care of you and that involves walking with you, to and from school," he replied.

"Um, am I supposed to be flattered by that or insulted?" Aya said. "It's your choice on how you understand it" Akashi responded and proceeded in walking. The whole was quiet. Aya didn't bug Akashi with stories and questions that always annoyed him. She was currently in deep thought.

'How does it feel to play basketball with the team in tournaments' Aya's voice repeated in his head. "Aya..." he called her. "Hm?" Aya looked at him with a smile. "It's nothing," he closed his eyes and re-opened it, staring at the path.

NEXT DAY. LUNCH TIME.

"Aka-kun!" Aya exclaimed raising her hand and smiling at Akashi.

"Aya, I am just beside you. You don't need to scream at me like we haven't seen each other for centuries," Akashi told her but she still has the energy to annoy him. He sighed. "What do you want?"

"Let's go have lunch with the others!" she suggested, standing up.

"No. I prefer eating alone in peace and with no noise and distraction from you," he declined. She pouted and sat back beside him getting her bento from her bag. "What are you doing now?"

"Well if you're going to eat alone. I won't let you," she answered.

Akashi blinked at her and smiled. "Do what you want, but" he paused. "No noise, no distraction, in peace," he reminded her as she nodded cutely with her chopsticks in her mouth.

For the whole lunch period, Akashi just kept playing Shogi with himself while Aya watched him while eating her bento. He stole a glance and glared at her. "Will you stop staring at me? you're distracting me with your irritating face while eating."

"Now, now, are you on your period again Aka-kun?" she sighed at his coldness towards her. He felt a nerve pop. "Know your place Aya" he reminded her. She waved her hand at him not even feeling a bit of fear towards him. "Yeah yeah, be in your absolute emperor mode again, I guess I'll just eat--wait Aka-kun you're not going to eat?"

"Obviously Aya. I play Shogi every lunch period. Are you that idiotic to not notice me?" he sneered.

"Stop calling me an idiot! she whined. Akashi looked at her bento which was only 1/8 eaten. "Are you that low on appetite or are you just a slow eater?" Akashi questioned her. Aya blinked and looked at her food.

"Oh, I have a small appetite. I often don't finish my food," she replied, nonchalantly.

"Are you eating well?"

"Well, since nii-san went to the states to attend college, I started to prepare my own food. Sometimes--"

"I asked if you're eating well," Akashi didn't let her finish. She blinked and gulped. Then looked at her food sheepishly.

"Well I..."

"Aya"

"Sometimes I forget to eat dinner and lunch, one of the reasons are, I go to sleep early or I get hooked up at this manga I'm reading."

"The other reasons are?" he questioned. Aya gulped.

"I play basketball at night and go straight to bed after taking a bath," she admitted. He gave her a concerned look and sighed.

"You idiot," he commented.

"Gomen..." she apologized and felt someone pat her on the head. It was Akashi. "Just take care of yourself, okay?" he reminded her. She lit up and smiled at him.

"Okay!" she gave him an eye closed smile.

-----------------------------

Aya arrived at the gym without Akashi because he already left without her while she was on duty on cleaning their classroom with Tetsuya. She scanned the room, looking for the GoM captain but didn't find him anywhere around the gym. "Oi, where's Aka-kun?" she asked looking around for the team captain.

"Oh, him, he said he just have some business to arrange. He'll be back soon," Shintaro answered her. Aya blinked and just shrugged and went to her usual place, at the bench while dribbling a ball.

The gym door suddenly opened as Akashi walked in with an envelop in his hand catching the players and Aya's attention. He approached her and tossed her the envelope as she catched it dropping the ball as Akashi catched it. "What's this Aka-kun?"

"You wouldn't know if you won't open it," he replied and sat next to her, spinning the ball on his index finger. He watched her open the envelop and looked on what's on the files that was in it making her eyes widen.

"A-Aka-kun," she stuttered.

Daiki got curious and took a peek with Ryota following him. Both of their eyes widened and stared at Aya. "Oi! It says...:" they noticed Aya's eyes water as she covered her mouth. She quickly hugged Akashi as they collapsed on the floor smiling at him.

"What's written on the papers?" Shuzo asked, completely lost at Aya's behaviour. "

Oh, uh, yeah, Akashi was able to asked permission to let Aya play practices with us. At least within Teiko premises," Daiki answered as their heads all shot at Aya who was with Akashi on the floor.

"Aka-kun" she beamed, tears in her eyes. "Arigatou" she thanked him, hugging him, her arms around his neck. "Will you please get off me now?" he sighed. She pulled away blushing and helped him get up. "Gomen"

"Okay, let's start practicing" he announced as Momoi attacked Aya with a hug in excitement. "I can't believe it Aya-chan! You get to play with us now!!" she shrieked tightening her grip on the poor girl. "Can't... breath..." Aya choked.

"Momoi, Aya can't breath," Akashi uttered taking a glance at Momoi as she let go of her. Her eyes were swirling as she almost collapsed on the floor but Akashi catched him. "I'll let you play in the games in one condition..." he said. Aya nodded  as he said his condition. "Make sure that you're always in great shape to play and always healthy to prevent from asthma attack, got it?" he demanded.

"Hai!" she saluted with a smile with Akashi letting go of her. "You better do, " he snarled and started to train.

----------------------------

"Mina!!!" Momoi called as all of the Generation of Miracles were the only ones left in the gym and Aya. They all looked at her as she closed smiled. "There's going to be a cultural festival nearby! I was thinking if we could go there during the weekend--"

"What? We're already exhausted from training. Weekend's supposed to be our rest day--" Daiki whined as Momoi pouted while Aya looked at her. She saw the sad face on the pink haired girl's face and beamed at her. "That's a great idea Momoi-chan! We should ALL go together!!" she said brightening Momoi's face.

"But--" Daiki was about to protest when Tetsuya spoke up. "Sounds fun, I'll go," he said.

"Tetsu--" Daiki was overlapped again when Shintaro spoke. "Fine, I guess cultural festivals can give you a bit of luck," he pushed his glasses up with a sigh.

"I'll go too!" Ryota volunteered, raising his hand.

"If there's food, I'll go," Atsushi said taking Aya's side and putting her on his shoulders as she smiled down at him.

"Fine, I guess I'll go too," Daiki agreed sighing. He looked at Akashi. "What about you Akashi? You coming?" Akashi wasn't in the mood in going to the festival. He always wasn't. He looked at Aya who smiled at him and thought that he still has to do that oath he promised Yamato.

"I guess I have no choice but to go."

----------------------------------------

Akashi was in his casual clothes waiting for Aya to arrive at their usual meeting place. They decided to go to the festival together and meet up with the others there. 'Late as usual' he thought. He suddenly heard panting making his head turn to see Aya stopping in front of him in her Yukata.

"Aya," she was wearing a white Yukata with a cute flower design around it. Her purple hair was tied up with a cute flower pin. He stared at her for a while and snapped out of his gaze. "Let's go."

They arrived at the festival to be greeted by Momoi who was in a pink yukata with her hair braided until her waist. "Aya-chan! Akashi-kun! You're here!"

"Obviously," Akashi sneered. Aya gave him a warning glare. "Whatever," he snarled. They walked around the festival, sight-seeing, enjoying the stands and admiring the decorations.

"Oi Satsukui, is the plan continued?" Daiki whispered at Momoi's ear. She blinked then nodded with an evil smile.

Daiki sighed and just continued the plan they've talked about. "O-Oh, l-look Murasakibara there's so many food stands there! Let's go take a look or take a bite..." he muttered as both he and Atsushi went off to the food stands.

"Tetsu! Let's go have our date now!" Momoi pulled Tetsuya away. She gave Ryota and Shintaro one last glare signaling something before disappearing off into the crowd.

"Ryota, can you go with me? I just want to take a look at those lucky charm stand," Shintaro said as Ryota nodded and they walked off, leaving Aya and Akashi alone together. 'They planned this' Akashi thought knowing the reason behind their disappearances.

Aya blinked at the crowd as Akashi looked at her. "So, what do you want to do?" he inquired. She was startled and smiled sheepishly at Akashi. "I-I don't know, what do you want to do?" she repeated his question.

"You just repeated my question," he told her. She sweat dropped and looked out the crowd. "Well, I do want to try those takuyaki I just saw. Do you want to taste some?" she suggested.

"Whatever you say," Akashi nodded as they proceeded to the stand she was talking about.
