Festival Date (flashback) [39]

A/N: the continuation of their date :D

"Oishi!" Aya cupped her cheeks as it blushed with the scrumptious taste of takuyaki she just ate. Akashi just watched her enjoy her food as she chews it. "Do you want some Aka-kun?" she offered and shove some to his face.

He removed her hand away from her face as he sighed. "You know--" he was about to say something when Aya fed her a stick of takuyaki as he chewed it blinking at Aya. "Aka-kun looks so cutewhen he eats," she blushed looking at Akashi.

Akashi swallowed the food as Aya offered another one but he declined shaking his head. "No thanks, I'm good."

"Fine, more for me then!" Aya chirped and continued eating her food.

"You know if you eat too much, you'll get fat," Akashi told her as a nerve pop on her head.

"So mean," she cried with a pout as Akashi sighed at her childishness again. He grabbed a tissue and wiped Aya's face stained with the sauce. She blushed as Akashi restrained his hand from her face meeting his red eyes.

They stared at each other for a while until Akashi broke his gaze from her and looked at the crowd. "Stop staining your mouth, you eat like a child," he says. Aya just nodded and looked at her finished food. "Are you done eating?" she nodded as Akashi took the container from her and threw it in the trash can.

The corner of her lips was stained by some sauce as he wiped it with his thumb staring at her gaped lips. They stared at each others eyes for a while until Aya shook her head breaking eye contact with him as she cleared her throat.

"We should be going now," she announced. 'Man, what's up with the eye contacts suddenly?' she thought and shrugged as she and Akashi proceeded through the festival. They watched some performances, and some plays held in the festival. Akashi was easily bored so he'll just leave the area and just let Aya follow him.

"Aka! Aka! Look! it's a goldfish catching booth!"Aya pointed at the booth dragging Akashi along with her as she approached it.

"Hey there! Do you want to play? () yen for 3 tries!" (a/n: idk the currency of japan) the vendor offered as Aya smiled in delight.

Aya played a few rounds but her net kept washing off as she looked at it with an annoyed face. "It's so unfair! This net sucks!" she whined catching most of the people who were playing's attention.

"You're just bad in catching," Akashi reasoned, standing from behind Aya.

"What are you talking about? It's the net's fault!" she argued shoving the broken net in front of Akashi's face. He made an annoyed face and pushed her hand away.

He sighed. "Let me," Akashi took the remaining nets that Aya had and catched the goldish for her without any problem. Aya watched him in awe, and stared at the 13 goldfish he caught. The vendor congratulated him and put all of the goldfish he caught in plastic bags and gave them to Aya instead to him.

"Here, a treat from your boyfriend. You're very lucky to have him eh?" the vendor grinned at her as she blushed.

"N-No sir, you don't understand--" "Aya," Aya was about to deny Akashi being her boyfriend when Akashi called her and pulled her hand.

Akashi dragged her along with him as she struggled carrying the two plastic bags full of fish. "Oi, Aka-kun, mate!" she pulled her hand away and adjusted her carry of the bags. Akashi looked at her and pulled her again with him. "Come with me" he ordered.

He lured her to a river bank and let her stand up in front of the river as he watched her. She blinked at the clear water and looked at Akashi. "Aka-kun?" "Let the fish go," he ordered her sternly. She looked at him like he was crazy. "Ehhhhh?"

"I said, let them go."

"But--"

"Aya."

"Why did you catch them if you'll just let them go?" she questioned.

"I just want to prove to you that there's nothing wrong with the net and you're really bad in catching goldfish," he answered. "Now, do as I say,"  he demanded with a glare. She sighed and just did what she was told to.

"Bye fishies! Sorry about Aka-kun. He has mind problems," she told the fishes as she let them go giving a wave while smiling.

"You're the one talking to the fishes and I'm the one who has mind problems?" Akashi raised his eyebrow at her but she just ignored and gave a closed eyed smile. He sighed as Aya opened her eyes and glared at Akashi with a pout.

"So mean, Aka-kun," Aya cried.

"Anyways, I think I might hang-out here for a while. The festival's too noisy I don't like it," Akashi sat on the grass and stared at the clear water of the river. "You can go and find the others if you want," Aya blinked and went closer sitting beside Akashi.

"Nah, I'd rather sit here with you," she smiled and stared up the sky making Akashi raise his head too. "The night sky looks beautiful," Aya beamed at the sight of the atmosphere.

"Indeed," Akashi nodded his head and glanced at Aya who was still looking up the sky. "Aya..." he called her staring at her face, admiring her features as she looked at him curiously. "Yes Aka-kun?" she wondered. He didn't say anything, instead, he just leaned closer as if he was going to kiss her. While she just let his face get closer to hers, both of their eyes closed as their lips were about to meet when--"Aya-chan! Aka-kun!"

Their eyes shot open as they pull their head from each other blushing from the event that was about to happen. They turned their heads to see Momoi approaching them with a big smile and the other five just behind her carrying packs of fireworks. It was dark so Momoi didn't see the event that was supposed happened to them. "There you guys are! We were looking all over for you!"

"Oh, hi Momoi-chan," Aya greeted her as Momoi grabbed Aya's arm and gave her some fireworks. "Huh?" Aya blinked looking at the item she received.

"It's fireworks silly!" Momoi giggled as all of them started to light the fireworks in their hands. Akashi was just staring at Aya watching miserably try to light her own firework seeing frown. He smiled to himself to be noticed by Tetsuya who just glanced at him after he smiled.

"What are you smiling at, Akashi-kun?" Tetsuya asked startling Akashi.

"Nothing," he lied, looking at Tetsuya with a small blush on his cheeks.

"Then why are you blushing?" Tetsuya questioned again. Akashi shook his head. "Nothing, I told you," Tetsuya just nodded his head and looked at Aya who was smiling brightly because her firework was finally sparking. Then he looked at Akashi again who was smiling at her. "Oh, I see," he whispered as Akashi glanced at him. "What?" Tetsuya just shook his head in response.

"Aka! Aka look!" Aya beamed showing Akashi the firework.

"This is what you call a 'Firework', Aya. You should remembered that," Akashi lectured as if Aya didn't know anything about the existence of the firework.

"I know what's it called!" she retorted while pouting.

"Just, be careful with the smoke, you--" Akashi was reminding Aya about her asthma when she ran while twirling the firework in her hand. "And I was just reminding her about that--" Akashi face palmed.

The night passed by until they were ready to go home. They walked home together but at some point, Daiki and Momoi had to go to a different route and Shintaro and Ryota too. Atsushi said he'll have to pass by the mall leaving Aya, Tetsuya and Akashi walking together.

They happen to pass by a theater catching Aya's attention. "Oi! We should watch a movie sometime!" she suggested pointing at the theater.

"Yeah, if you're smart enough to not get lost," Akashi retorted, silencing her and they continued to walk.

"Man, time sure flies," Aya sighed and stared at the road ahead of her. "I wonder what's Nii-san doing right now?" she wondered about her brother in the states. Yamayo had earned a scholarship from a university from the states and had to leave in order to study there.

"I'm sure he's wondering about on what you're doing too," Akashi answered as Aya smiled at him.

"Sumimasen," Tetsuya spoke, catching the two's attention. "But I have to drop by a shop. I'm sorry but just go ahead without me," he waved goodbye and walked away leaving the two completely alone with each other.

"Let's go," Akashi said as he and Aya continued to walk.

They reached her house as Aya stood at their front door smiling at Akashi. "Thank you for the night Aka-kun", she thanked him.

"What are you thanking me for? All I did--" he didn't finish his sentence because of Aya kissing his cheek making him blush. Aya smiled at him while blushing and went inside after greeting him goodnight. "Konbawa, Aka-kun."

Akashi was still startled and mindlessly walked his way home while holding his cheek. He smiled to himself and just continued to walk.
