I sit through the rest of the day, not paying attention to any of my classes. I'm brainstorming reasons for what Mr. Sato, Ms. Schorr, and my friends have against me. My mom loves the saying "Don't make mountains out of molehills", but I'm convinced that these sudden events are because of their sudden dislike for me. The only thing that reasoning doesn't explain is why my name wasn't on the roster. I can't come up with an explanation for that one. I can't explain why it makes me feel so weird on the inside either.

Alexis agrees to walk the 20 minutes home instead of taking the bus because I don't want to face Mr. Sato again today. The sky was all gray and gloomy. Just like my mood. "Just like the other bad things that will happen today", a little voice in my head says. I push it out of my head. School is over for the week. Alexis and I will be home, so there's no one else to get mad at me. Dad will be home for the weekend. Everything will be ok, like Alexis said.
