Under her care

Chapter 71

Under her care

Autumn's gentle breeze caressed her skin as she hurriedly closed the balcony door. Memories of last night flooded her mind, bringing forth regretful tears as she watched him lay defenseless beneath the weight of the duvet.

Her sobbing woke him, and without hesitation, he tried to rise from the bed. But she stopped him in an instant.

"You are still weak, the doctor said you must stay in bed today," she whispered softly, attempting to hide her tears and sorrow.

"I am not weak, Sibel. It is merely a cold love..." he replied.

"A cold that you caught for my foolishness. I should be the one in your place, not you. I am so sorry, Sinbad, for insisting last night..." she interrupted, unable to contain the anguish she felt upon discovering him motionless and feverish this morning. He remained silent, offering no response. The doctor arrived after she panickely called Hakan, standing dutifully by his side for hours on end, applying cool vinegar-soaked cloth, just as her mother had done when she was a child.

Only in the midday did he open his lake-like eyes and witness her concerned face transform into a faint smile.

The man felt both happiness and fear, for whenever this forbidden feeling stirred within his chest, things could unexpectedly take a wild and unpredictable turn.

She clung to his body like a koala to her eucalyptus tree.

"Sibel, would you mind being naked? Because I want to feel your skin against mine.” He whispered, the intensity of their closeness causing her clothes to scorch his flesh. She immediately discarded her garments, and he, already wearing only boxers, couldn't tear his eyes away from her form. She rightfully took her place in his arms, her warm body meeting his feverish skin, as the illness still lingered.

His fiery fingers brushed against her skin, erupting her defenses wall, but it was when he kissed her bellybutton that a moan escaped her lips. In response, she held his head tightly in place, her fingers entwined in his locks.

He moved away, allowing her space on the bed. With the knowledge that her body would be cherished like never before, she climbed in, ready to embark on a journey of passion and tenderness.

Sinbad,

Sibel,

Moaning,

Groaning,

Deep kisses,

Skin sucking,

Flesh splashing,

These intimate acts painted the room, now filled with sounds and colors, that had remained quiet for hours.

His hot, burning body soon returned to normal temperature after he gave her all he had. The reward was a beautiful woman lying on top of him, completely spent, her breath gradually becoming normal as it hit his chest. The whispers of love coming from her made him feel happy once again.

The sun came up and went down, but the lovers didn't even notice because they were completely wrapped up in living their lives in vibrant color.

"Can you believe it's already the end of October?!" She exclaimed after glancing at the calendar on the wall.

"You look so surprised. Didn't you know?"

"Nope! I thought it was still September because, you know, ever since I started teaching here, instead of going to school, you have a way of making time fly by."

"Although I didn't want you to be so drastic in your decision, I loved the idea of having your lips a little bit more. I'm not talking about your horizontal ones but about these." His hand escaped down her belly, entering inside her panties as soon as he touched her holy grail. Everything vanished once again.

Just like yesterday, and the day before, after her little space voyage, her vertigo got worse, causing her to rush to the bathroom to empty her already empty stomach.

"Sibel, this is getting out of hand." Sinbad scolded his exhausted wife, enveloping her in his comforting embrace after the bathroom episode.

"I have an appointment with the doctor today. I'll go with Mert since I know you'll be out of town."

"I'll cancel everything right now."

"Please, just let me do this on my own. I promise I'll let you know the results."

The lovers reluctantly parted ways as she headed to school for the first time in a while. Today, she had more on her mind than just her doctor's appointment.

Zara had said something that was bothering her.

She knocked on his office door, but the secretary informed her that he was working from home that day. So she went there and waited for him.

"Well, after so long, the squirrel decided to pay me a visit."

He teasingly remarked that she didn't look her best.

"I'm here to warn you, Serkan, to stay away from Zara. She's engaged and happy. Don't try to force her into something that will only bring pain for both of you."

"Who do you think you are, coming here and talking to me like that? Huh!" He scolded her harshly.

"I may be no one to you, Serkan, but I'm her friend, and I won't let history repeat itself in this chaotic mess. If she doesn't want you, then why are you trying to persuade her? Why are you closing doors on her, intimidating her? What's the purpose? So you can have a little fun and then what? What will happen to her? Will she just become your personal plaything for a day, a week, a month? And then what? Do you think you can be satisfied with just owning her body? You're wrong, Serkan. You'll yearn for more, but there won't be another Zara. Instead, you'll do everything in your power to bring back the girl she used to be. And you know what?

You'll fail miserably many times. If you're lucky, you'll watch her walk away from you. But if luck abandons you, you'll be the one digging her grave for her final resting place.

Don't repeat the mistakes that can have irreversible consequences." She asserted her point and left him alone, not even waiting for his response.

In the end, she couldn't ignite her own will.

As soon as she left the palace, she felt her stomach churn and she threw up whatever was left inside her.

"Oh, I definitely need to see a doctor now," she thought to herself as she grabbed her phone to call her son, but she was also afraid that something might be wrong with her. So instead, she decided to send a message to Sanem.

She was waiting at the hospital after getting a blood test done when Mert showed up.

"Mert, what are you doing here? Are you okay, my boy?!" She looked at him, checking for any signs of injury.

"Mom, I'm fine. I'm here for you. We decided that I would accompany you, but later I found out that you wanted Aunt Sanem to come."

"How did you find out?"

"I was there when the message came. She was busy and told me to check her phone, thinking it was from Uncle Hakan."

"Mert, my boy, it's not that I don't want you here, but..." She started crying out of nowhere, and Mert comforted her with a gentle embrace.

"Mom, you're going to be fine," he wiped away her tears, took her hand, and led her towards the doctor's room.

The doctor's name was Gaya Eminoğlu. The last name sounded familiar, but she couldn't quite place it.

Mert tried to appear calm and supportive, but deep down, he was worried. You see, his mom had a serious accident just four months ago, and miraculously, she survived.

A blonde woman with a doctor's outfit was writing something on her notepad when Sibel and Mert knocked on her door. She didn't look up from her writing, but she said, "Come in," somewhat reluctantly. Both the mother and son entered.

The young woman lifted her head and greeted them with a warm smile. She sensed the unease in the boy and noticed how he protectively held onto the woman, who could easily be mistaken for his sister.

Another knock on the door broke the heavy tension as the doctor said, "Come in."

"Doctor, here are the blood results of Ms. Sibel Kara," the nurse placed the file on the corner of the table and left.

"So, you are the famous Sibel Kara, the nightmare of my brothers," the doctor exclaimed as she opened the file, but she didn't give any hint about its contents.

"Excuse me, doctor, I don't understand what you mean," Sibel was taken aback by the doctor's statement.

"Oh, I am sorry. You probably must have forgotten about Avni from your second grade. My brother used to come home with a dropped face because you always won all the games."

"Oh, now I recall it," she subtly smiled, hiding if he had cursed her too.

"He will be delighted to meet you again," she spoke, brightening a smile towards the mother and son.

"Can we get to the point of her test results?!" Mert impatiently requested, as his heart was coming out of his mouth any moment now.

The doctor looked at the boy and...
