Almost Gone

At the caffè.

"We were going to eat when everything happened dad. She hasn't eaten anything till then." Mert put again the morsel of food on the plate but his father took it and put it on his lips.

"Eat it, your mom will wake up soon  and she will be more sad if see you haven't eaten anything." Reluctantly Mert open his mouth and took the morsel. Just like he was a child Sinbad feed him cause the little cub  of him wasn't able to feed himself.

People have seen these adorable moments many times because Sinbad never failed to show his infinitely care for Mert every time he could.

"Dad, what if she surrender and leave me ?"

"Sibel Kara and surrender can't be together my boy. She is a strong woman, she passed all those terrible things and still lives to tell it. You are her everything. She never gonna go without fighting to be with you."

"If all she wanted was me to call her mom, hug her, and forgive her for letting me. Now she can easy go…" his voice got drown in the last morsel when tears cover his view. Quickly Sinbad hold his face.

"She will come through , I guarantee this."  Sinbad give spirit to his son but inside he fear if she really can leave them now, after all she got what really wanted, Mert called her Mom.

Before ICU.

Andrea was word fighting with the nurse in charge for Sibel.

"I want to see her!" Andrea requested in high tone.

" I can't sir, is only for her family members." She said quietly.

"Nurse, please. I am her fiance."

"I am sorry sir but her son forbidden to let anyone inside her room."

"She is my love, i want to be there for her.

"Ask her son, sir. Look he just come." Nurse said and retreat herself inside Sibel room.

"Mert, isn't fair to let me out of your mum room." Andrea complain.

"You said is my mom,so I decided no one would enter without my permission."

"I want to see her Mert. We Love each other, after so many years we refound our love again cause someone else dare to interverne."

"You are seeing her from window, beside i don't like you Andrea, since I saw you i had a bad feeling about you."

"Well I don't care if you root for me or not, Sibel choose me again this time " he said looking forward to Sinbad.

"My mom will choose me over you, always."

"Really you think this? Than why she left you?! Cause you bare his bad blood!" Andrea throw his venom through his words that trigger the last sanity of Sinbad.

"Watch your mouth when you talk with my son!" Sinbad grabbed his throat and smashed his being to the wall.

"Finally you are matching with a man!" Andrea tried to be brave almost breathless.

"You really are making me regret for not blowing your head that morning." Sinbad whispered as was closing his respiratory way.

"Gentleman comport yourself or both will be banished from hospital." Her doctor came menacing again. Sinbad reluctantly let his throat. Andrea got in his knees heavy breathing as Livia approached to help him.

Mert entered inside to see his mom with the permission that doctor gave after all that comossion his father did.

This time Sibel didn't open her eyes thing that sad her little boy. He come crying on his father's arms. Sinbad was loosing words to console his perturbed son. He inside is feeling the fear of never seeing her, hear her.

They passed all morning in caffetteria there was a sofa that serve like a bed for Mert that put his head on his father lap.

Hakan has called him and he has answered briefly but warned to not say anything to her family, yet.

After getting refreshed they went to ICU ward only to find out empty, Sibel wasn't there.

The scary thought hit both father and son.

"Where is the patient that was here?" Sinbad hold his heart on his hand as wait for the answer.

"Non lo sappiamo signore, siamo appena venuti qui per pulire il posto.(We don't know sir, we  just came here to clean the place.)" One of the girl spoke.

"Dad she is gone forever, is all my fault." Mert fall down on his knees. Sinbad couldn't bare his pain although his heart stopped beating in his right tempo.

"Finally, I found you both! " Was the doctor voice that brought them from their pain

Sinbad rose up holding Mert, putting himself in the ruthless mode.

"We would have come for you doctor,to do the necessary." He sounds colder than before.

"You had right boy, your mom is strong woman she just got better and we transfer her to the normal ward. Follow me." Doctor said smiling to Mert.

He got affection towards Mert that stood by his mother and protected her in her vulnerable state. He always was trustful that she would wake up although he told his doubt to his father.

Both father and son took wings to go to the one and only woman they both have given their heart in different ways.

Inside the room was Andrea and Livia. Anger surface into Sinbad and Mert eyes as saw him so near her.

Immidiately Mert went toward his mother creating a space between Andrea and her.

Sibel was covered in layers of bandage, Sinbad couldn't stop his memories to not compare her recently state with that of years ago.

The anger he felt towards Andrea came back as bumerang on his heart.

"Mum" his pain voice come as whisper near her ear as he kneeled down. She was still unconscious thing that alarmed Mert.

"Why she isn't answering me?" Mert directed his worrying glare to the doctor.

"She is still in pain we give her sedative but she is fine, will wake up soon." Doctor assures him, petting his shoulder.

Nurse came near with the chair for Mert to sit down.

"Do you know who is Mert? The patient keep repeating the name in her sleep." Nurse said looking around for Mert.

" I am Mert, her son."Mert said as set on chair without leaving her bruised hand.

"Why the patient is doing better still this room is too much crowded, so I will please two of you to go away and come later." Doctor advised in his ordered tone.

"Obviously I and my father will stay, right dad?!"

Sinbad was standing at the entrance not daring yet to come near her but Mert words brought him back and he nodded.

The feeling of defeat didn't resent well with Andrea that got fueled by the smirk on Sinbad face as he walked away from the door. Livia took hold of his arm and pushed him to not look back. The doctor and nurse left the room but Sinbad still hasn't stepped in. He was glued to his spot looking for his two loves. He had this picture in his mind, both of them together but of course not in this terms. Somehow his heart was at ease, a smile quickly replaced his sad face and two happy tears enrolled down his cheek. He quickly removes them, shutting the happiness door. He is dign to suffer not to happiness.

"Dad come in." Mert invited and his heart moved his legs as raised the beat in every step he took towards her.

"Dad,touch her hand. Maybe she wakes with your touch. " Mert bubbles.

His hand craved to have her warm skin in his hold but the fear she already engraved in his soul was way too strong to keep it hush. She had peeled her skin in front of his eyes to refuse his touch. No he can't touch her without permission.

Mert noticed his father's hesitation so took his hand and placed it over her.

"Hold her till I return from the restroom." Mert excuses himself to let him alone with his love.

Her fairy skin was a bit cold some scratches were seen over her flawless skin due to the impact with concrete. His thumb smoothly moved in circles to produce warmth. Her hand was small against his giant one.  A tear of regretion, a heartful redemption fell over her hand. She has changed but in his eyes she will always be the most beautiful woman he ever saw.

Someone said beauty lies in the eye of those who can see it. He was about to let her hand when she squeezes his hand. For an instant his heart stopped he thought was a vehem of his mind but when saw her then and there he died and come to life seeing her two darker universe- like eyes staring at him.

She woke up.
