Chapter 2

3rd Person's POV

It was a bright and early Saturday morning, and Marinette's up bright and early, and no your ears are not failing you.
As unusual as it sounds she actually forgot that she had a group project with her one and only dream guy, Adrien.

"Marinette.....you're up early." Tikki said rubbing her eyes as she flew down from the bed towards Marinette.

"Huh? Oh mornin' Tikki. Your cookies are over there." Marinette said sleepily as she was pointing towards the table she usually works at.

"Wait, Marinette! Don't tell me you stayed up all night- again!" Tikki yelled as she flew over to face Marinette.

"Again? What do you mean again? I slept properly last night." Marinette answered as she also made eye contact with Tikki

"Sure, if you call an hour of sleep a proper night's rest. An akuma even attacked that night!" Tikki started.

"-you staying up all night is because of this STUPID contest!" Tikki yelled in her squeaky voice. Once she realized what she had just said she covered her mouth and looked straight at Marinette once again.

"I-its not stupid Tikki! You of all people should know that! This contest is a big stepping stone for MY dream and MY goal! I have a life outside of being Paris' saviour!" Marinette yelled at the little kwami who gave her an apologetic face in return which made Marinette sigh.

"I'm sorry Tikki. But I really want to win this contest this year!" Marinette explained.

"I'm sorry too Marinette. It's just that the safety of Paris is in your hands and if you fell asleep during patrol it'll get bad" Tikki said and sat on top of Marinette's shoulder ignoring the scent of cookies lingering in the room.

"Don't worry Tikki! I'll surely be annoyed by Chat's puns!" Marinette giggled at the thought of Chat every night they patrol.

"Your right. Oh Marinette, you should cover all of Adrien's pictures on your wall. They're coming over right?" Tikki asked

"Huh?"

"What do you mean huh? Marinette its the weekend! They're coming at twelve noon!" Tikki yelled

"......! Oh my gosh Tikki your right! I totally spaced. Come and help me cover the pictures up." Marinette yelled as she ran to get fashion contest posters, tripping in the process.

She covered each of the pictures of Adrien, carefully.

Then she went back to her work, and when she was about to sew the jacket she realized she's out of materials. Well, most of the materials. All that's left is a tube of pink thread, three rusty needles, half a yard of black cottony soft fur like material and that's it.

"Well, time to go shopping." Marinette shrugged, losing all her sleepiness a while ago. She grabbed her purse and headed out the door.

Meanwhile.......

"Oh come on Nino! You can't be serious!" Adrien's joking voice rang through the room as a conversation is being done through the phone.

"Dude, its a one time thing. Just tell me who knows where she lives." Nino's voice was heard from the phone.

"Geez you have it bad." Adrien said
"You have it worse, your practically drooling over Ladybug" Nino countered.

"Shut up....I'll text you the address later." Adrien answered as he hang up.

"I think I'm sounding like a girl....text you the address really?" Adrien mumbled to himself as he searched for someone in his contacts who may know

Then as he stopped he noticed an unfamiliar yet familiar number. He dialed it and it rang once, twice, thrice and then the user picked up.

"Hello? It's me." A voice who seemed to be having a bit of struggle said, a voice very familiar to Adrien.

"Hey there Marinette." He said cheerfully.

"A-adrien?! W-woah! Sorry 'bout that. Y-you were s-saying?" She asked obviously almost dropping her supplies.

"...well, Nino called a while ago. He wants to know.....Alya's address." Adrien stated with a few pauses because of some yelps by Marinette on the other side of the line.

"He likes her! Oh god. I'll text you the address!" Marinette squealed in joy as she actually hang up.

Then a message arrived on Adrien's phone as soon as she hung up. And as soon as he passed it to Nino a smiled instantly made its way to his DJ friend.

"Hold your beetles!" Alya's voice rang from inside the house as Nino rang the doorbell.

"Oh hi there Nino! What brings you here? Did you find out anything about ladybug or chat noir?" Alya asked

"Oh, I Uhh.....no Umm I, was wondering if you'd....wanna walk to Marinette's house together?" Nino asked a small blush creeping its way on his face.

"Yeah sure! But don't you think its too early?" Alya said
"I guess your right."
"Wanna hang out here for a bit?" Alya suggested to which Nino nervously agreed on.

The two went inside Alya's room since her sisters are too busy playing in the living room.

"So Alya, have any leads about Ladybug and Chat Noir's identities?" Nino asked Alya to start a conversation with knowledge about her greatest likes.

"Bro, I'm so glad you asked! Just yesterday as I was walking home Ladybug flew above me with Chat Noir following her. Then she dropped a picture!" Alya squealed.

"Girl that's awesome! But how'd you find out it was hers?" Nino asked wanting to learn more..... honestly he just wanted to hear her voice.

"I followed her and she came back to that very place and I heard her say 'where's that picture. Luckily it's just mine' loud and clear!" Alya squealed in excitement.

"Can I see the picture?" Nino intrigued and Alya did it was a picture of there whole class.

"Wait does that mean?" Nino asked and Alya eagerly nodded

"She's in our class!! Kyaaaah!!"

And just like that the time passed with them talking and talking until they forgot about their project.

While the two had their conversation.....

"Kid, it's eleven thirty! Time to go." Plagg said reminding Adrien that he had a group work to do and he stood up from the white sofa he's watching TV on.

"Your right come on!" He exclaimed and Plagg had this grin plastered on his face knowing that a bakery has tons of cheese.

Adrien knowing that neither Gorilla nor Nathalie is here he decided to just walked to the bakery. It took him a few minutes and finally got there. He waited at the front of the bakery for the other two to come.

Twelve noon came and yet nothing, the rain started pouring and luckily Sabine found the boy outside when she decided to see if Marinette is on the way home yet.

"Oh dear, your Adrien right? Come in, come in, it must be cold outside." Sabine said with a gentle smile as she urged the boy to come in.

"So what brings you here?" Sabine asked him

"Oh uh....is Alya and Nino here? The four of us including Marinette is working on the project." He answered

"Oh is that so. I don't think they're here yet. Marinette also went outside to buy some stuff for a bit." Sabine informed

"Will she be fine? I mean its raining and all." Adrien asked not knowing what to say

"Oh she's gonna be fine! It's just a drizzle, she loves it when it rains softly. Anyway I'm gonna take care of the bakery so, make yourself at home" she said and went back to the bakery.

Adrien looked around him noticing a few picture frames and feeling the warm atmosphere in the house- home despite the cold rain. He wished his house was like this.

He stood up and looked at one of the picture frames.
It showed a little Marinette playing video games.

"I guess she liked playing video games since she was little" Adrien thought to himself as the door flew open revealing a mountain of sewing materials and supply that would last designer for more than a month.

"Ugh....." From the pile out came Marinette who met a hand, she accepted it.

"Thank you. I- uh....Umm a Adrien. W-what brings you here?" Marinette mum bled.

"I'm here for the project but Alya and Nino hasn- forget that, your dripping wet!"

"Ehehe, I'll be right back!" Marinette yelped as she ran to her room but not without tripping on the way.

Adrien just chuckle silently at the sight of the bluenette girl.

After a while Marinette came down wearing a white shirt, black cropped jacket, and blue jean shorts. (Her outfit in the 2D version)

"Hey so uh.....mama said we should work on the project so Umm....wanna g-go upstairs?" Marinette offered and so they did.

It was awkward for I few minutes both not knowing what to say.

"Gaaaah! Adrien's in my room! The Adrien is in my room! OMG! OMG!! OMG!!!" Is practically what is going on in Marinette's mind right now.

"Uhh, so what should we do now?" Adrien asked braking the awkward silence.

"W-well....design, I guess?" Marinette questioned and Adrien simply nodded.

They worked on the drafts and sketches with Adrien pointing out possible improvements.

"Hey Marinette, shouldn't this be a tad bit longer"
"That's what I was thinking! And less frills."
"Yeah, and put another layer with a different color"
"Preferably green or blue!"

And it went on and on until Marinette's mom and dad brought up snacks.

"Break time?" Marinette asked, slowly getting used to being with Adrien.

They both took a break and ate.
"Mhmm, your mom makes the best pastries!" Adrien exclaimed munching on another cookie.

"Hmmmm, I know. They taste wonderful!"

"You know, this is the first time in a while since I actually had fun." Adrien confessed.
'Well as Adrien that is'

"What do you mean?"
"It's honestly boring back at home. No one to talk to, your actually fun to be with." Adrien said as a heat rose up to Marinette's face.

"Y-you really think so?" Marinette as,end.

"Really. Well it's getting late, see you again tomorrow." Adrien said

"Y-yeah.....tomorrow." Marinette said still in a daze.

Then a red snapped her out of it.

"Marinette~ have a small nap. Paris still needs their heroes well rested!" Tikki said in her usual squeaky voice.

"No need Tikki, I have to work on my design." Marinette answered as Tikki just agreed hesitantly.

-time skip to patrol time-

"Marinette. It's patrol time." Tikki said quietly to a very sleepy Marinette.

"Huh yeah.....Tikki, Spots on!"

Ladybug sleepily met Chat Noir at their usual meet up spot. The Eiffel Tower.

"Good evening, M' Lady" Chat said smoothly
"Goo' evening" Ladybug said as a small yawn escaped her lips.

"My Lady seems to be sleepy tonight." Chat smirked.
"Just up late, but I'll be fine. C'mon silly kitty" Ladybug giggled

The patrol went on smoothly, no akuma for the night. Its time to go home.

"L-ladybug-"
"Chat, for a thousand times no. I'd rather you have figuring out my identity than me showing you. See ya tomorrow!"

"Good Night M' Lady....."
