❀Chapter Four❀

"Humans tend to fear those who are different to them."

Leona had been taken from the Autobot base, as per the stupid government's instructions via Fowler, and she hated it.

Fowler had taken her to some sort of hidden base that was held underground, then she had been escorted, with cuffs on her wrists, into a rather large room(that also could have been called a small hall).

She had broken the cuffs off her wrists as soon as she had been alone, not going to let anyone trap her. She damn well knew she could probably break herself out of this place if she wanted to, but she was going to give them a chance. She may have lost her memories, but she was sure that the Leona she had been before would've done the same thing(well, she was 56% sure).

Now, she was lounging on a military style bed in her lioness form. She probably shouldn't have gone lioness, but it was the only comforting thing for her in this cold, colorless place.

The almost pure white walls were too bright for her, the white made her miss the calming black of Ironhide even more. For some reason, she felt like she needed to be near him. And now that she had caught his scent, she could tell that the jacket she wore was once his - how he wore it, she didn't know - and it only made her miss the comfort of the Cybertronian even more.

Her head lay in between her paws as she kept watch for anyone entering the massive room. She wanted out, and if no one ended up coming, she was going to get herself out.

It was hours later when something finally happened.

Leona could instinctively tell it was night wherever the base she was in was. Even with the lights still on full beam above her.

She was debating just escaping when she door she had been escorted in to the room she was in now, opened.

Her golden furred head shot up from her paws instantly, her eyes narrowing on the pair that entered.

Agent Fowler looked annoyed as he followed his workmate in.

"Leona Myles?" The other guy asked hesitantly as he looked at the lioness.

Leona stood up on all four paws, and jumped down from the bed so she could walk over to them.

Fowler couldn't hide the amused grin that flashed across his face as his co-worker jumped back, fearful for his life.

Leona flashed her sharp, dangerous, pointed teeth at them as she sat back on her back legs. Her tail moving from side to side.

Fowler rolled his eyes at the Lioness's obvious teasing, "Just change back, Leona."

Leona's eyes twinkled, the only warning the pair got before she suddenly let out a massive roar that had both men clamping their hands over their ears.

The roar quickly faded into laughter as Leona shifted back and burst into hysterics.

"You should've seen the looks on your faces," she laughed on her back, on the floor of the massive white room. Her laughter bouncing back off the walls.

Fowler sighed, shaking his head at her as his co-worker looked like he was going to piss himself.

Leona finally managed to relax, a massive grin on her face as she sat crossed legged on the floor, "So, what's happening?"

Fowler glanced at Ethan, who was sapposed to be the one to tell the lioness what the plan was, but Ethan looked petrified, so he took over, "The higher ups decided to let you go-"

Leona huffed, "Finally, it's been hours!!!"

"-on the condition that you stay with either the Autobots, or an Agent," Fowler finished.

Leona groaned, "Why can't I just go to whoever my family is?" She asked them.

Ethan and Fowler glanced at each other, "Your family is either dead or missing," Ethan said bluntly, speaking for the first time.

Leona blinked, going silent for a while, "How-?"

"Still working it out," Ethan said immediately, not needing a glare from Fowler to keep it secret. Having been told by several scientists before entering the room to keep the dark parts of her history quiet for now.

"Okay," Leona nodded, her face hidden by her long hair as she looked at her hands in her lap, "So who will I be staying with?"

Fowler looked uncomfortable, "About that-"

"Agent Fowler has offered to take you in," Ethan cut in, making Leona's eyes widen as Fowler looked like he wanted to murder the other male.

"Something about keeping you and a "iron hid" separate on a "doc"'s orders?" Ethan said thoughtfully, "I think that's what you said," he looked at Fowler.

The expression on Fowler's face made Ethan's eyes widen as he slowly backed away from the dark skinned man.

"Why would you and Ratchet keep me and Ironhide separate?" Leona asked, her voice a mixture of emotions that made both men look at her.

Fowler scrambled for something to say, "Ratchet just wants to check something out," he managed out.

"Like what?" Leona asked, standing up so she was the same height as the Agent.

"Doc thinks that there's something between you two," Fowler scowled, "I don't know, why don't you ask him?!"

Leona frowned, "I'm in a big white box," she deadpanned, "How could I?"

Ethan snorted, then tried to cover it up when Fowler glared at him, "She got you there, William."

"Not helping, Rogers!"

Leona rolled her eyes at the adults, her mind stuck on what Fowler had said.

Why would Ratchet stop her from seeing Ironhide again?
