A few weeks later, (Y/N) was out of juvie but became more desperate to find the real person behind her fake identity. The more she thought about the night she saw him with her mother's new lover, the more it ate her inside. And the more she thought about her dad.
"So... you're gone too now." Hunter mumbled, looking away.
He flexed his arm, looking at the floor with complete disdain. Hunter was one of the few people who had her back, whether (Y/N) was a boy or a girl.
"C'mon man, I'll come back to visit you. I promise, I'll come back for you." she explained, leaning into his ear to change her tone of voice into a whisper.
"I'll come visit you as a girl... maybe your sister or something."
Hunter nodded, still looking away. (Y/N) embraced him, thankful that he'd gotten her through her tough time at juvie. Because after this, she was about to investigate her own set of problems with her family.

After Robby witnessed his encounter with Sam and Miguel from showing up at her house, he repeatedly crashed into everything in front of him. On a dark night out, he constantly fell flat on his face, attempting to recover from the last hit he took.
Robby was evidently drunk. He gripped the bottle in the paper bag, frustrated, upset and pretty much depressed. Upset that his life turned around completely. Frustrated that everyone he trusted turned on him, only to lead him down the wrong path. Robby lost trust.
"Can't believe you'd do this to me Samantha." he drunkenly retorted.
Meanwhile, (Y/N) found herself crashing at the same officer's house, posing as his niece. It was fascinating to see where she once was and where she ended up.
Getting a taste of freedom came as an addiction. An addiction with consequences. Her impulse lead to a series of decisions which could have been avoided.
"What the...." she whispered to herself, seeing a figure across herself from a distance.
She'd noticed it falling over and over again. However, instead of getting involved, she waited. (Y/N) decided to observe the figure more. She took off her hoodie, knowing she doesn't have to play a role any more. She could finally be herself.
"Is that guy ok?" she thought to herself, internally debating his behaviour.
A moment later, she watched the figure crossing the road. Cars were beginning to approach. At first, her instincts told her to let it go, until she judged the way this person was walking.
(Y/N)'s eyes bolted wide open as her legs carried her to that very road this person was crossing. She pulled the person over to the sidewalk, preventing him from crossing the road.
"LOOK OUT!"
Without realising, she tripped over, falling on her back.
She groaned in great pain, squinting her eyes. She blinked rapidly to get a good look of who was in front of her. And that's when she realised who it was.
Robby.
Her breathing became rapid. But it wasn't from seeing Robby. A drunken Robby took note of her appearance but his vision became distorted, given it was fairly dark and he was drunk. (Y/N) continued to stare at Robby, fascinated that she met him again. This time, as herself.
She didn't move. She didn't say anything. All she could do was stare and take this moment in. The waves of shock ran across her body, preventing her from physically moving as she'd just saved him from a life-threatening incident.
"Robby..." she gasped to herself, without realising she said this out loud.
"How do you know my name?" he slurred, with his eyes half open.
(Y/N) jolted up, shoving Robby to the side and observed his drunken state. What the hell happened? She slapped him repeatedly, attempting to keep him awake.
"Wake up. You almost got into an accident and you could get a concussion!" she exclaimed.
Robby laughed, almost half asleep. He was definitely drifting off. (Y/N) grabbed him by the shoulders, shaking him awake.
"Wake up... wake up... wake up!" she sighed. "C'mon."
She slung his arm around her shoulder, finding the best place to sit him down. That was when Robby was half decent... and half awake.
"Sam?" he cooed, stroking (Y/N)'s face.
She shook her head, slapping his hand off.
"Stop that!" she frowned.
He leaned in, closing his eyes with his lips pursed together. Robby thinking (Y/N) was some girl he liked... his girlfriend? That wasn't on. She leaned back, preventing him from doing the deed.
"Look, we gotta get you home." she sighed, helping him up. "Do you have a phone, address? Anything?"
Robby chuckled, pulling out his phone. However, his grip was so tight, (Y/N) had to poke him to get him to give up. Upon opening the phone, she groaned when she saw a face ID was required. Robby's eyes were half closed. She sat him down again, attempting to keep him awake.
"Oh my gosh, you are so fucking difficult." she mumbled.
As she attempted to open both his eyes for him, Robby started to hyperventilate.
"Oh come on... not now? Let's just get you home first?" she suggested, begging him to collect himself as she had little to no experience taking care of somebody else.
Robby ended up breaking down, torn up about what he'd been through.
"And looks like we're stuck here..." she sighed, sitting closer to Robby.
Robby buried his face in his hands, breaking down completely. It hurt her to see him like this. For the rest of the night, he spent his time crying his eyes out as (Y/N) comforted him as best as she could.
"I can't do it anymore." he bellowed.
She took his hand giving it a gentle squeeze. When she was a guy, she had a pretty clear idea as to what was happening in his life.
"Shhh... just take it easy, dude." she whispered, stroking his hand with her thumb.
Robby let out the rest of his tears and built up emotions as much as he could. His eyes were puffy and heavy from all the crying. He was far too tired to stay awake. In the silence, she felt his presence gradually calming. Although Robby had fallen asleep by now, (Y/N) hadn't. She'd spent the rest of the night, awake and making sure he was okay.
