Robby Keene.

(Y/N) observed him walk over to the guy who had just flirted with her. The same guy (Y/N) was pretending to be. Realising she'd been sent undercover, she made it a point to avoid letting herself focus on Robby. He wasn't part of her task.

When (Y/N) noticed Caleb and Robby were friends, however, she took it as the perfect chance to not only fulfil her goal but also get closer to the boy she shared a cell with.

As Robby entered West Valley, the rest of the students froze, each with a piercing gaze that only showed just how much they resented him. After so long, Robby had returned to West Valley. The conversations, gossip and drama spread around like wildfire.

He followed Caleb, who seemed to be the only other person unbothered by the drama. Robby silently walked past (Y/N), completely dismissing her presence.

"What is going on?" (Y/N) debated, thinking to herself.

As she settled in to her class, the gossip among the school students was louder - enough for her to gather why Robby was in prison in the first place.

"I heard he pushed off that Diaz kid. Is it true?" one of the kids with a stern look across their face pondered, urging their friend to answer the question.

"Yeah I saw it. It's all true." they confirmed.

(Y/N) was in shock. How could Robby do such a thing? Most importantly, why? She quietly pulled out her books.

Moments later, she noticed the chatter had died down. As she looked around to her classmates, she found their gaze pointed to the one thing in front of the classroom. The classroom's door. And there they were again.

Caleb and Robby entered the classroom, welcomed to silence and a few whispers. It was eerily quiet. Too quiet for (Y/N).

"C'mon let's sit here." Caleb casually pointed, co-incidentally next to the seat (Y/N) was sitting in.

He waved, realising she was the only other person besides Robby that he'd had an encounter with.

"You don't mind if we sit here, do you little lamb?" he grunted, adjusting to his seat.

A quiet (Y/N) vigorously shook her head, burying herself into her textbooks. Caleb flipped the book shut, enabling her to have a conversation with himself and Robby.

"Do you know about the incident?" he whispered, referring to Robby, who quietly took out his books behind him.

(Y/N) froze. She stared at Robby, for what seemed like a moment. But it wasn't. He glanced back at her quickly, then back to his books. He looked like he didn't want to talk to her. She could only shake her head again as she'd dared not to talk since he'd disappeared on her after she helped him.

She didn't like how straightforward Caleb was with her, for she already had an idea of who she was dealing with. A shoplifter. Someone who committed a crime. At one point, her father would've helped people like him.

But after the Tom Cole incident, it was a mistake. A big bloody mistake.

"Can you leave me alone... please?" she urged, directing her gaze towards the teacher who had just walked in.

Caleb smiled, agreeing otherwise.

After class, Caleb approached (Y/N) again. She scoffed, headed to her locker where Counselor Blatt had shown her as she was getting a rundown of the school.

She noticed Robby was behind him. A lot more quiet than usual. She was extremely curious, given he was nicer to her in juvie - when she was a guy.

"Hey, I'm (Y/N)" she introduced, trying to steer away the awkwardness between them. "I think we've met before"

"Yeah, I remember." he quietly responded.

(Y/N) placed her books into her locker as Caleb was observing the awkward interaction between them. All she wanted was for Caleb to get out of the picture as soon as possible. He was definitely testing her patience.

Caleb took Robby aside, with a slight idea of what may have happened between them. But he was far from it.

"You cool if I ask her out bro?" he asked, sternly.

Robby shrugged and couldn't care less. He agreed, with the most apathetic look across his face. He turned the other way, completely avoiding Caleb and (Y/N).

"Is he ok?" she asked from the background.

Caleb nodded, scribbling digits onto a piece of paper. He passed it to (Y/N) who looked completely dumbfounded, upon receiving his number.

"Call me sometime." he winked.

This had to be the weirdest first day at school ever.
