Chapter 10

A/N: I am kind of stuck in a bit of a rut with this story so I would most definitely appreciate some ideas/comments in relation to the plot of this story. I'm crazy busy irl so I hardly have time to write nowadays. Long story short, my life is practically a mess and there's nothing I'd rather do right now than binge and watch The Office.

"You can't ask me to stop worrying about you when you put yourself in dangerous situations." (Y/N) explained as Robby awoke to the naked sun flashing it's rays in front of his very eyes.

She sat next to him, just as tired but managed to keep herself up anyway. It was no lie, for she was used to sleepless nights. (Y/N) couldn't remember the last time she slept well. Properly.

Robby's eyebrows scrunched, almost annoyed that he couldn't remember what had happened last night. When (Y/N) attempted to catch his attention, he jumped back, slightly caught off guard.

Who was this girl? Was she here the whole night? Robby attempted to figure out last night's events by putting the pieces together. Which he failed. Successfully.

"Did we hook up or---" he muttered, until (Y/N) cut him off.

"What-- What? No--No! Nothing like that." she stuttered, rapidly using hand gestures to deny this thoughts.

(Y/N) threw a bottle of water and some snacks in a bag over his way, encouraging him to eat as soon as he woke up. He looked like a mess. But that didn't bother her as she'd already taken a good look at juvie. As a guy.

"So, why exactly did you help me?" he spoke, in between the bites he took from the protein bar he was holding.

"You seemed like you could use it."

Robby knew the story as (Y/N) had narrated what she saw last night. He was completely stunned, unaware he almost lost his life to drinking.

"Yeah, well next time... don't bother." he sighed, walking away.

A confused (Y/N) was about to follow him as he walked away until she was stopped by the officer, with whom she'd taken refuge with in order to continue with their investigation to release her father. At this point, there was some connection between the real Caleb, who she'd been portraying.

The connection was far too obvious. But there was definitely more to it. Caleb, Tom Cole, Chad Ross, Evelyn Ross and... (Y/N) (S/N). However, she was ruled out, given she was in on the investigation.

"Damn it, I lost him again." she sighed, turning to the officer.

Kent had rolled down his window, urging her to get into the car. (Y/N) was hesitant at first but begrudgingly opened the door, taking a seat.

"What happened?" she frowned, looking down at the files he had.

"I found a lead to get your father out of jail." he smirked, handing the papers over.

"Look, I know you're not on the best terms with him, especially since he chose work over you a lot.  But he's helped me so much. And he loves you." Kent added, after learning that she wasn't on board.

After Robby had escaped that day, he found himself at a skate park he used to go to with his old friends. The malpractice from having been in juvie took a lot out of him. He watched random strangers from across, practising their tricks and turns, until one of them had approached him.

"You wanna skate with me? I could use some company." the guy asked.

The brunette had shoulder length hair which was divided right in the middle. He tied it into a low bun. He'd obviously shaved, given the dark stubble across his cheeks.

It was none other than the real Caleb Johnson himself.

"Hey man, how've you been?" Robby chuckled, shaking his hand.

Stunned, Caleb was surprised that Robby knew him. He didn't know Robby at all. He looked at him confused but went with it anyway. Sooner or later, he'd figure out the truth.

"When did you get out?" Robby asked, picking up Caleb's skateboard.

"Um..." Caleb stuttered, stuck on answering that question, for he had no clue as to what it was about.

Robby looked at him confused but smiled anyway, glad that he'd met him. In Robby's perspective, he had (Y/N)'s impression of Caleb, assuming this was the same person he'd spoken to back at juvie.

"Just recently, I guess." Caleb answered casually as he watched Robby place the skateboard under his feet.

Robby placed his feet on the board, allowing the wheels to roll him into the direction ahead. The board rolled and guided his feet as he controlled the speed and distance he could skate. After a couple of rounds, he made his way back to Caleb, thankful that he got to skate one more time after having been released from juvie.

"Thanks for letting me skate." he acknowledged, crossing his arms.

Caleb did the same, getting back to his skating as Robby watched from the distance. His smile quickly faded as he disappeared to skate.

He noticed something was off about him. For him, this was not the same Caleb he met in juvie.

However, who would be the same after juvie? In his point of view, he'd figured something had to have happened at juvie for Caleb to be this reckless. From saving his butt from Shawn and his gang to skating around the park without a care in the world for anyone or himself.

Robby has always had an eye for people. And he was sure as hell determined to find out.
