Chapter 15- "You killed her!"
The woman smiled a quite dazzling smiling and Lucy felt a pang of admiration of how beautiful she was. She didn't wear make-up, and she just looked naturally gracefully. She had waste length choppy pink hair, and bangs that curved around her violet eyes. True, she had a bloodthirsty and cold look in them, but none the less, they were still a quiet extraordinary color. They were like crystals, and Lucy wondered how deep they seemed to be. But the more she starred, the more she got a light-headed feeling.
Lucy quickly looked away, relieving her of her headache. She examined her clothing. It was a knee-length black robe with sakuras scattered over the fabric. A single white, silky waist band was the only thing keeping the dress together. Note for later, do not remove that. But Lucy started to wonder about her attire. Was that really fighting material? Maybe she was a long distant type wizard who relied on her magic to defend her. It looked like she didn't plan on jumping or running anytime soon. She was, however, barefoot for some odd reason.
"Oh please, don't mind me, come in! Come in! It's not polite to linger in doorways." She said cheerfully, pulling out a fan, and beginning to fan herself. She watched them closely as they walked into the room, a small smile played on her lips hidden behind her fan.
Lucy tried to concentrate on her fan, avoiding her eyes by any means necessary. If she were right and this woman was a long distant type wizard, than maybe her power was located in her eyes.
"Oh come on, don't act like strangers, it brings a sorta. . . Awkward taste in the air." She said everything smoothly, like she was taunting them.
"Who are you? Are you gonna let us through, or do I have to clobber you?" Natsu asked angrily.
Lucy sighed. "Natsu, you can't punch girls. Leave this to us woman." She said proudly, straightening her back as Wendy and Erza stepped up.
"Oh?" She said. "Now that would be a good choice." She walked closer, getting inches away from Natsu's face. He growled at her.
She smacked him lightly on the tip of his nose with her fan. "No growling! Bad baby dragon." It looked like Natsu was really doing everything to restrain himself, but his hands were already igniting. She smirked.
That was enough for Natsu, he pulled his fist back, ready to punch her, but she caught it between her fan. His fist was only inches from her face but she seemed unfazed.
"Hm, that fire does seem a bit nasty, and may prove to be trouble." She said. "Oh, I have an idea!" She said loudly.
"Gaze into my eyes." Her eyes seemed to flash, and the violet seemed to crystallize as Natsu's arm went limp.
"Natsu?" Lucy asked. He turned to her, and never had she seen the pure furry that exploited his face. Suddenly his whole body was engulfed in flames.
"You!" He spat, pointing at her. Lucy gulped at the fire that was only a few centimeters way from her eye. The others frowned as they watched.
"Natsu? What are you-" Lucy asked until Natsu swung his fist at her. She shrieked and ducked, barley able to dodge the flames.
"Natsu!" Erza exclaimed.
"Your fire-brain idiot! What are you doing to Lucy?" Gray exclaimed. Thats when the woman looked at Gray, her eyes flashing yet again. His body went limp, and the color drained from his eyes. He glared at Erza with a menacing stare.
"Why?" He yelled. "Why did you kill her?" Erza, confused, step forward.
"Gray, calm down," she said, and put her hand on his shoulder. Suddenly, her arm began to freeze up, ice creeping up to her shoulders. She immediately pulled back, and the frost melted away, but not Gray's look of pure hatred.
"Oops, seems like you guys have some problems." The woman said. Gajeel stepped back.
"What did you do to them?"
"Oh nothing really," she said nonchalantly. "Just what i'm about to do to you." She looked at him and he too went limp, his red eyes spiking with anger. If Lucy wasn't busy with Natsu, she would have critize him for doing the exact same thing as Gray and Natsu. But she felt like he would've punched her in the face- similar to what Natsu was trying- because one look at Wendy, and his body seemed to shake with fury.
"Natsu," Happy said worried.
"Don't worry Happy, I'll make sure to avenge her death." It sounded like Natsu, sounded like what Natsu would say to Happy, but it didn't make sense. Why would he blame Lucy for Levy's death? Or blame her for anyone's death? As far as she knew she had never killed anybody.
"Let the games begin!" The woman announced in pure bliss. She stomped the ground with her bare foot, and three walls rose out of the ground, splitting them all up, and pushing them farther away from another. Lucy pushed against the wall, but she was trapped alone with a bloodthirsty Natsu, who probably wouldn't wait for her to yell "ready!". Lucy didn't know what was going on with the others. She had Happy, who was clutching onto her shoulder, scare for both his well-being and for Natsu.
"Are you all right?" Lucy tried to yell to the others through the rock, but it became muffled to even her own ears. The rock walls went from wall to wall, floor to ceiling. There was no getting out. Lucy felt a lot more claustrophobic but she didn't have time to worry about that. Natsu was after her.
"Natsu, Natsu please snap out of it." She knew how strong Natsu was, she didn't stand a chance. And she hadn't seen him this angry since the Grand Magical Games.
"You killed her!" He yelled.
"Who?" She asked. She didn't want to fight Natsu, it'd hurt her more than him, physically and mentally. But did she have a choice? She wanted to see if talking to him would work first.
"Lucy, you bastard! Why? Why did you kill her?" She frowned in confusion. Did he say she killed herself, or call her a bastard? Or both? She went with both.
"Natsu, I'm not dead, I'm right here, no one killed me." He didn't seem to care what she said. His flames grew more ridged, and she had to step back in order to avoid getting burned.
"Natsu!" She screamed, but her calls were falling on deaf ears. "Please." She whispered.

"Gray, calm down." Erza said, dodging one of his ice lances. She quickly re-equipped her armor to repel ice. He quickly iced the floor and she cursed. She wouldn't be able to move as freely with the floor unavailable to her. But her ice armor didn't have wings to let her fly. She didn't want to keep changing armor back and forth or she'd be exhausted in no time.
"Gray, I don't wanna hurt you." She warned. She worried about the others. Natsu was stronger than Lucy, and his anger seemed unfathomable. Erza knew Lucy would try to avoid a fight. And what about Wendy? She was alone with Gajeel. They were all separated and pitted against each other.
What they needed was to regroup. Maybe if they broke down the walls?
Erza dodged another attack. She walked forward, barley managing not to slip. She rose her staff. "Gray, if you want battle, prepare for battle!" She charged, trying to work the ice to her advantage. She slid, and pushed her staff forward, pinning him against the wall. She pulled back and swung, planning to hit him, but he slid under and away from her. Her attack smashed a part of the wall. It was pretty thick.
She turned back to Gray. "Do you dodge like a coward?"
"Me?" He roared. "I didn't kill her! Why did you kill her?"
"Kill who?"
"Why did you kill Erza?" Erza stumbled back. Kill? Herself?
"What are you talking about, I'm right here." She said.
"I won't let you get away with her death! I will avenge her!" He charged forward, ice magic clouding his hands. Erza charged forward with her staff. They collided and the force of the attack sent them both flying back.

"Gajeel-san, please." Wendy pleaded as Gajeel charged. She dodged, flying high into the air.
"I don't want to hurt him," she told Carla and Lily. "Besides, his magic is stronger than mine."
"He seems to be under some sort of spell, maybe I can hold him off until he snaps out of it, but can you try and break it?" Lily asked her. She noddded.
Gajeel's iron arm slammed into the wall next to Wendy, missing her only by a few slim inches.
"He is out of control, he could have killed us!" Carla protested. Wendy gulped and sat in the air. Lily jumped down and rolled to the ground where he morphed into his battle mode. He brought out his sword, and looked right at Gajeel, pointing his sword to him.
"Hurry Wendy, I don't know how long I can hold him."

Soon, the fire was licking at Lucy's skin. Her only hope was to somehow break the trance or break through the walls and regroup with Erza and Wendy. She knew Aquarius could take Natsu on for a fair fight, but there was no water. Maybe Loki, but Lucy didn't want to hurt Natsu. Maybe Aries could slow him down?
All she really needed to do was have Natsu punch through the walls, or at least use up his magical energy. But Natsu had endless energy. And who knows how thick the walls were, she probably would be unable to avoid his attacks for long.
She gulped, it was her only chance.
She pulled out Aries Key, but then a blast of fire hit her. She screamed, trying to cover herself from the fire. She was sent hurling back, skidding across the floor.
She looked at Natsu. The anger that radiated off of him was terrfying, but Lucy could feel his sadness down to her very bone.
She was surprised to see Natsu crying, wiping away his tears angrily. His fists were clenched and he looked ready to pound the wall down. "Natsu." She whispered.
"How could you? I just got her back! She was my friend! My comrade! I loved her!" Lucy felt like she was sucker-punched. Loved her? Her as in Lucy-her? Since when? Lucy was too scared and sad to feel over-joyed. She felt so guilty that her death had affected him so much. He looked like he was going insane. Lucy never really thought about how her friends felt after her death. They probably blamed themselves. Especially Natsu. If this anger was how he felt toward himself, Lucy didn't know if she could forgive herself. She wanted nothing more than to hug him, and to reassure him that she was alive and well. And most importantly she wanted to scream her love for him. But she couldn't. Natsu wouldn't listen, he wouldn't stand still while he thought she was the one who killed Lucy, or um herself. . .
Tears rolled down her cheecks. Seemed like causing suffering to the friends around her was her best attribute. Why was she always screwing up? Why did she always have to be saved? Why couldn't she be stronger and more reliable?
She had tried so desperately hard to help Levy, but she was a coward. When things got hard, she took the easy way. When things got scary, she chickened out.
So what if she defeated Malus the first time? She died trying to do so. She only caused more suffering. Maybe she just wasn't cut out to be a Fairy Tail wizard.
She looked at Natsu. Her Natsu. The one who smiled, who protected his friends. The idiot who never knew when to accept defeat. He was like her role-model. He was brave, strong, and never wavered during battle. Watching him cry broke her.
But what did he see in her? What made him love her? Why does he try so desperately to save her, defend her, avenge her?
Because we're family. . .
That's what Natsu told her.
Happy looked at Lucy with guilt, but she couldn't see him. He was half-way across the room. When she had gotten flung like a rag-doll, he too was sent flying.
"Fine!" Lucy screamed. "Natsu Dragneel! I, Lucy Heartfilla, promise on my life that I will save you! We're family! And I will save you!"
He charged at her and she barley managed to dodge. His fist was implanted into the wall, which stubbornly remained thick.
"You coward! Why do you dodge?" He asked.
"Because you're stronger than me, which is why I have no doubt you can break that wench's spell!" Lucy yelled. Where was Aries' key? She glanced around her.
"Dang. . ." she looked around. Again, Natsu punched. It grazed her skin, not hitting her though. His fist impaled the wall, crushing the rock. Lucy winced as the fire burnt her side. When she moved away a safe distance she look at the burn. It was red, blistered and hurt like a bitch. She clenched it, but when she touched the burn, it spiked in pain.
Natsu's fire was so strong that it was reaching four feet in every direction. Lucy was running out of options. Maybe if she could make him realize she was Lucy. . .
No way she couldn't get close enough without being burnt, nor could she talk to him. Her words went right over his head.
The fire warmed her body. It wasn't Natsu's normal fire that felt like marshmallows and summer, it was fire from hell. Natsu's every sad and angry thought was poured into that fire and Lucy had no doubt it could kill her.
She squeezed her eyes shut. What she was gonna do will hurt, might even kill her, but she needed to save Natsu. Even if this was one small thing, she wished it could at least repay him for one of the many times he saved her.
"Natsu!" She screamed, running toward him at full speed. Happy screamed for her to stop, but she didn't. Natsu's fire ate at her skin and clothes as Natsu prepared to block her attack. But she didn't attack.
He was shocked to find how similar her body felt, how similar she smelt.
Lucy hugged him tighter, her teeth clenched as the fire ate and blistered her skin. "Natsu."
"L-L-Lucy?" He asked in a daze.
"Yes!" she cried. "Natsu wake up!"
He slowly awoke. And imagine his surprise to find Lucy hugging him to death. He looked around at the stone room and then at Lucy. He ceased his fire immediately.
"Lucy? What happened?" She looked up with tears of relief in her eyes.
"Natsu, thank goodness!" She cried, but he didn't miss her red and blistered skin, the soot and ash on her hair, and the burnt marks on her clothes.
"Lucy. . . Did i do this?" Lucy bit her lip. She shook her head, but before she could explain, her knees suddenly buckled. Natsu caught her before she could fall, but when she cried in pain, he quickly began to panick.
"Lucy? Lucy! What happen?"
"Get. . . The others." White and black spots dotted Lucy's vision a she fought to remain conscious, but her vision was getting blurry. Blackness blurred the edges of her vision before she closed her eyes and gave in to exhaustion.
"Lucy? Lucy!"

"Gray!" Erza yelled. Normally she could take on both Natsu and Gray at the same time, but this time was different. Gray was fighting with a reason. To avenge her death. She just needed a way to show him that she had never died.
Somewhere in the whole mist, a woman let out a blood curling scream. Erza turned around sharply. Who was that? Too old for Wendy, and deeper than Lucy's. Perhaps the woman who placed the spell? The scream chilled Erza to her bones.
"Hey! I'm your opponet! Keep your eyes on me!" Gray yelled before smacking his hands together.
"Ice Make: Cannon!" And he fired at her. She dodged each shot, five in total, cartwheeling and summersaulting over them. But as she landed on her last cartwheel, her foot slipped on the ice. Erza cursed as she felt her foot twist underneath her weight.
"Damn!" She yelled. She tried to stand but then had to block another attack from Gray, who had smashed her staff in half. She winced as she tested to see how much weight her foot could hold, she could stand normally with a little difficulties But when she took her stance, a white-hot pain streaked in her leg, causing her to wince and make her knees buckle.
"I. . . Gotta. . . End. . . This quick." She said through ridged breaths. She never knew that Gray could drive her to such ends. She cursed as she exchanged her smashed staff for a long sword. She specially choose that sword because the one of the edges were especially blunt and dull. Perfect to not cut Gray in half.
"Gray," Erza challenged. "Prepare for battle!" And she moved forward quickly, relying on the armor to keep her leg straight. She tried to especially keep weight off her foot.
She swung and Gray ducked. Erza's sword smashed into the wall, shattering a small section.
"Gray!" She roared. "Stand and fight!" She charged at him again, switching from Ice Armor to Black Winged Armor. She kept her same blunt sword however, she just needed the flying advantage.
He shot her with ice and she deflected it with a swing of her sword. No matter what Gray threw at Erza, she countered it.
He frowned at her. "You're skilled, I'll give you that. You gotta be pretty stronger to even take on Erza, even more to defeat her. But how will you counter this?" He asked, throwing his hands out in front of him. The air around him seem to drop twenty degrees. Mist shrouded his hands, spreading until it engulfed the entire room.
Erza couldn't even see her hand in front of her. She cursed. She could rely on her hearing, but the sword had one blunt side and one sharp side. If she had by any chance mixed it up, Gray could be killed. Maybe if she had another blunt sword or staff, but that wasn't really part of her sword description. "Dull swords weren't well swords," and a staff wasn't very useful in fights. She cursed yet again. A staff would be perfect for her twisted ankel. She didn't want to admit it, but Gray was putting her in a bind.
Her swords were useless, her leg was usless, now she had to rely on her armor alone.
Growling, Erza dispatched her sword, closing her eyes, ready to fight. Her ears perked at the soft sound of movement.
When she heard Gray come within a radius of 6ft, she would tense, ready to deflect at him when he sprang.
"Ice Make: Hammer!" Gray yelled. Erza dodged narrowly, running toward the sound of Gray's voice. She hit, and felt the air around her shift, and relying on just her instinct and hearing, she fought with Gray.
After what felt like forever and a half, she finally gained the upper-hand. She caught one of Gray's arms, near the bicep and quickly pinned it against his back, taking ahold of his other arm. She slammed him against the wall. He growled in frustration but Erza didn't give an inch. She flipped him over so he could face her, and she held each hand against the wall, keeping them far apart. Gray glared at her, but she didn't faze. She returned the look back tenfold.
"Gray Fullbuster, listen to me! If you don't snap out of it, not only are you going to get the beating of a lifetime at the guild, but I swear to Mavis! I swear I'll- I'll- I'll. . ." She said, losing confidence in her words.
"You'll what?" Gray asked with fury. "What will you do to me? Kill me like you killed Er-" he was cut off when he felt something strange.
Cold didn't affect Gray, but he could still feel the chill of Erza's armor. He stiffened under her hug. He felt suddenly awkward as she squeezed him tighter. Ugh, Juvia is gonna be heartbroken if she finds out he hugged Erza.
"Um. . . Erza not to kill the mood or anything," he said shyly, scratching the back of his head. "But, why are you hugging me?"
Erza's head snapped up. "You're free from the spell?" She asked.
"What spell? Why do I feel like I was hit by a train?" Gray asked. Erza smirked. Then, looking away, smashed her fist on top of Gray's head. Gray crumpled with a shocked look.
"Ouch. . ."

Iron clashed against Iron. Wendy tried hard to ignore the fight, rely on Lily, and figure out what type of spell was place on Gajeel. It wasn't really her thing, but with her healing magic, she should be able to guess what type of spell was placed.
What she really wanted was to access Gajeel's brain and then she could really pinpoint the spell and easily find a way to deactivate it. Easier said than done, she had never tried it that way but she had no other choice.
But Lily's form was running out of time, holding down Gajeel for a few minuets is probably impossible. Maybe it was worth a chance. . .
"Lily! Try holding him down, I might be able to help him!" Wendy told Lily. Lily nodded, but he didn't know much longer he could keep it up. Gajeel was stronger than him, how long could he keep it up?
"I'll try my best!" He said readying his sword. He charged at Gajeel, who grew his arm longer and shifting it into metal. Gajeel's face was blank, except for the hard look deep within his red eyes.
"Why? Why did you monsters kill an innocent little girl?" Gajeel screamed.
"Killed an innocent girl?" Lily asked. "I would never! No one in Fairy Tail would!"
Gajeel laughed. "Like you'd know what Fairy Tail is!" He roared with fury. "How dare you speak that name when you killed her!"
"Who?" Lily asked. He hoped Wendy was listening, these may very well be clues to the spell.
Wendy was indeed listening, still concentrating on locating the spell. She remembered what Natsu had done to Lucy.
"Gaze into my eyes," the woman told Natsu. Her eyes seemed to flash, and the violet seemed to crystallize as Natsu's arm went limp.
"Natsu?" He turned to Lucy. Suddenly his whole body engulfed in flames.
"You!" He spat, pointing at Lucy, the fire that was only a few centimeters way from her eye. The others frowned as they watched.
"Natsu? What are you-" Lucy asked until Natsu swung his fist at her. She shrieked and ducked, barley able to dodge the flames.
Natsu had accused Lucy of killing someone, and she thinks Gray had said something similar. Now Gajeel.
"You killed Wendy!" It took everything Wendy had to not break her concentration. Instead, she smashed her fingers and hands together, frowning hard in utter determination.
"Gajeel, open your eyes, Wendy is right there." Wendy concentrated harder, until she felt as though her head might pop. So this was a spell casted by the woman, starting with Natsu. Natsu turned on Lucy, Gray on Erza, and finally Gajeel on Wendy. Perhaps this woman could only affect men. If so, it might be more challenging to break. The wider the variety of which the spell can cover is similar to the barrier. If it was cast on everybody, it would be divided equally, but among 6 parts. By simply choosing who to affect, which is men, the castor doubles the amount of strength in the spell. Now, her spell was equally divided among 3. If she had simply narrowed it to guys with pink spiky hair and a scaly scarf, it would have a full effect on Natsu, but nothing on everyone else.
Usually, with more specific magic, the stronger the castor has to be in order to focus the energy. So this isn't amateur magic, this is done by someone who knows their barriers and casting.
Now that the information had expanded, it seemed of Wendy breaking the spell slimmed from 2% to 1%.
Lily, please hurry, Wendy pleaded. With such a powerful casting, if Wendy had any chance of breaking the spell, she need to be up close and personal with Gajeel's brain. Because it was a visual magic, Wendy could lessen the search of the brain greatly. The effects of the spell seemed to make the men believe that the girls were killed, attacking the real them believing them to be the killers of themselves (A/N: That's a little hard to understand, sorry). So not only were their eyes affected, but they're memories, influencing them into a frenzy chaotic state.
Wendy took deep breaths, never had she tried this and under extreme pressure. What if she had to do this for the others? Searching their minds and breaking the spell would take a lot of magical energy.
Lily needed to finish Gajeel off fast. Time was ticking. If Lily shrank back to his mini form, Wendy would have to fight Gajeel, decreasing the chance of breaking whatever was on Gajeel.
"Let's end this Gajeel! I'll pin you down before 5 minuets!" Lily yelled. If he even had that long.
"You can't defeat me! I'm not gonna let you get away with Wendy's murder, I may not know her all to well, but shes Fairy Tail, and that means family!" He thumped his hand over his heart. Lily did feel slightly moved, but Wendy wasn't dead. She could be if Lily didn't hurry.
Lily and Gajeel had always sparred, but never had they fought in a life and death battle since Edolas. Lily wasn't too eager to fight him, but he had to protect Wendy too.
While Gajeel had the upper hand, Lily knew all of his moves. Gajeel had no idea he was fighting Lily but he was always one to adapt quickly to the enemy.
Lily and Gajeel were evenly matched, but no matter how hard Lily worked to get the edge, Gajeel countered with ease. But when Lily did gain an upperhand, it wasn't his doing.
Another blood curling scream echoed the entire chamber. Wendy, despite trying to resist, broke concentration to concentrate on the sound. This was the second time she's heard it? What's going on with the others? Was that Lucy? Or Erza?
No, it didn't sound like them. Maybe the castor? Whoever it was, they must have experienced something even more painful then the first time. The scream was terrifying in itself, but the echoes and mystery made it seemed even more scary. It sounded like a corner animal's last plead for life.
Wendy gulped. She concentrated on Gajeel again. Suddenly, her head snapped up as she sensed something about the spell. It had weakened tremendously. Wendy didn't know why. Was Lily weakening him?
That's when she felt the spell spike, becoming amazingly strong, then falling again. She gasped as it gradually became stronger. At that rate, he would be stronger than before in 5 minuets.
This had happened a little while ago, too. After the first scream, Gajeel weakened, but then became stronger before. If Wendy had to guess, the castor had narrowed her spell from three to two. And now it was two to one. Meaning Gajeel would be even stronger.
But right then and there, that's when he was weakest.
"Lily!" Wendy yelled. "The spell has weaken! Now's your chance!" Lily looked at her, nodding. Then turned to Gajeel who was concentrating, with a frown on his face, on the sound.
Lily swung the sword at him, nearly slicing him in half. But just before it cut him, Lily turned the blade so that the flat of his sword hit him.
Gajeel was flung across the stone room, smashing against a rock. Groaning, he got up.
"Iron Dragon Roar!" The attack narrowly missed Lily, who jumped over it, his Exceed wings growing on his back. He dove in the air toward Gajeel, blade ready. When he hit Gajeel again, it was almost enough to send him through the thick stone wall.
Panther Lily took Gajeel's unconscious body and laid him on the ground. He pinned down his arms by his side, and Wendy soon came down, green energy shrouding her hands.
She placed her hand's on Gajeel's temples, letting the green energy wrap itself around Gajeel's head. She concentrated for what seemed like hours. Beads of sweat dotted her forehead as she poured every last drop of magical energy into searching for the spell and disarming it.
Lily could only watch the little girl try desperately to save Gajeel. Even though his body protested, he pushed his form longer, trying to be able to assist Wendy in any way.
Soon, Wendy sat back with a smile on her face. "Done. Thank you, Lily. You're a life savor."
"When will he regain consciousness?" Lily asked.
"Soon, maybe a few minuets." Wendy began panting fast, growing paler and soon her eyes seemed to lose light as she fainted.
Lily caught her. "She has used too much Magical energy." He stated. When he reverted back to his original form, he nearly collapsed also.
Carla and Lily looked at each other. "What about the walls?" Carla asked.
"I don't know, maybe we can break throu-" but before Lily could finish, another blood curling scream erupted. This was louder than the first and second, sounded more painful, and was gruesome enough that it made all the wizards cringe. It seemed to last forever, and its effects kept pressing onto their bodies.
Happy was trembling on Natsu's shoulder. Across the room; Carla was getting frightened, and Lily felt so at unease that he wanted to pull his sword out.
When it finally stopped, it was dead quiet. The others waited for any sound. Then, a loud noise, like a land slide, filled the empty void. The stone walls started to sink back into the ground.
Carla and Lily exchanged looks and nodded. Carla wrapped her tail around Wendy's waist and began flying back to the door. Lily did the same with Gajeel.
When they got there, they met up with some familiar faces. Each wizard looked more battered than the last. Lucy looked like she became a dragon's chew toy, Natsu looked like he killed a child, Erza's ankle was wrapped in bandages, Gray looked like he was run over by a semi-truck, and Lily was certain he, Gajeel, and Wendy didn't look any better.
Wendy began regaining consciousness, leaning against the wall for support. Lily set down Gajeel on the floor and Natsu placed an unconscious Lucy next to him.
They had all sustained injuries (with the exception of Natsu, who was untouched but looked a lot worse than anybody else.) Wendy knew she didn't have the energy to heal them all, she wanted to but she couldn't.
"Can you heal them?" Gray asked.
"I want to, but I don't have enough magical energy." She said sadly as she examined Lucy's blistered skin and Gajeel's battered body. Then she felt someone weakly grasp her hand. She looked down at Lucy, who smiled a little sadly.
"I have a plan," she whispered.
"You should rest." Wendy said.
"Can't, you guys. . ." She took a moment to breath. "Would be so. . . Lost without me." Wendy smiled at Lucy.
"What's your plan?"
"I have magical energy, just really hurts, but could you help me up." Wendy had never seen Natsu so guilty looking. He really did value his friends, and hurting them is the last thing he probably wanted to do.
With Lucy leaning on Wendy for support, she pulled out Gemini's key. "Open! Gate of the twins! Gemini!" Gemini's key glowed in her hand a sound of a doorbell hide Lucy's grunt of pain. Lucy's spirit, Gemini, came out. Gemini had the power to copy memories, powers, looks, everything by touching a person at the same level of magic or lower.
"Gemini," Lucy said, trying to hold back her cries of pain. "Turn into Wendy and heal our team." She said. Gemini, noticing the state Lucy was in wasted no time, and quickly transformed into Wendy.
Gemini-Wendy quickly healed Lucy first, and then Gajeel. While the magic helped soothe the pain, Lucy practically had to be bandaged head to toe. It was just like that time at the Grand Magical Games.
"Ow, ow, ow, Wendy, not so ruff." Lucy complained.
"Sorry, I'm almost finished." And she taped off Lucy's arm, from her upper arm, to her wrist. When Gemini-Wendy was finished with Gajeel, he-she quickly moved to heal Erza's ankle. When he was finished, Erza smiled and stepped on her foot.
"Thank you, it feels much better." Gemini-Wendy nodded, then turned back to Lucy. Wendy quickly finished bandaging Gajeel up.
"Thank you, Gemini, you're a life savor." Gemini-Wendy smiled, flashing a peace sign before disappearing in a puff of smoke.
"Now then," Lucy said. "Let's go find the wench, and the research."
-----------------------------------------------------
On my behalf, i would like to apologize for the Gajeel vs. Wendy fight. It was really hard to pop out because I'm the type of person who automatically writes what i'm thinking, so while thinking ahead i was like "i should just say Wendy and Gajeel battled and Wendy won" but that wasn't fair and very hard to understand. I'm sorry it was hard because i feel like the only one's stronger than Gajeel are Natsu, Erza, etc (he used to be S-class for Phantom Lord). So basically, the really powerful strong Fairy Tail Wizards.
Having Lily and Wendy team up, combining both intelligence and action was kinda my way of trying. Sorry for that sucky fight, I had originally wanted to focus mainly on Natsu and Lucy since this is a NaLu fanfic and i have been sorta neglecting it. It was my way to show that Natsu loved Lucy enough that if he found out she died again, he would go in a frenzy and kill allllll dah bad guys.
So, anyway, sorry.
