Worth It?

The car came to a stretching halt as you stopped in front of his apartment complex. Namjoon hurled his lithe body out of his seat and made to storm off toward their dorm. He tossed his key to a short, scrawny man in a black uniform waiting outside and the poor valet fumbled to catch it.

Quickly you jumped out and began to chase after him. "Namjoon!" You called out to him, but it didn't stop or slow his movements. It was useless, he was in a blind rage and was seeing red. "Please stop! I don't want to be the reason you two fight!" You tried to reason with him, but you may as well have not even been there.

You continued after him as he rushed inside the elevator. You darted in, colliding with his chest in your hurry to make it before the automatic doors closed. Taking a step back so you could look at him, you took his balled up fists into your small hands.

"Please just... think about this rationally." You begged in a breathless voice, panting from running to catch up with his long strides.

He looked down at you finally, his eyes filled with molten lava. "I'm done being rational. Why do I always have to be the calm and collected one? I've given them all of me. This is the one time I've wanted for myself."

Your eyes softened as he struggled to let his walls back down for you. You could see the conflict in his eyes, the war raging in his very mind. "It doesn't have to-"

Namjoon quickly raised his arms in a flash and grabbed you by the shoulders, his grip a bit firm but not painful. "I'm falling for you, Y/N!" He proclaimed as the force of his movements and emotions took hold and your body was now pressed against the elevator wall.

You eyes rounded as you felt your heart stop. He leaned his forehead on yours and took deep breaths to calm himself.

"And because of that... I can't let this go." He whispered, looking deeply into your eyes, that angered expression snapping back into place.

You swallowed the lump forming in your empty throat, at a loss for words after what had just come from his mouth. He was falling for you. Considering the circumstances, your heart shouldn't be dancing right now, but it couldn't be helped. However, before you could say anything further, the doors dinged before they opened and your eyes shot to the glass mirror behind Namjoon to see Jimin standing there. Instantly, you felt a sense of panic as the blood froze in your veins.

Jimin didn't understand what was going on, he only saw Namjoon holding onto you, his eyes shining with angst, and your seemingly terrified face. He frowned, misreading the scene entirely. "Hey man, let go of her!" He demanded as he grabbed onto Namjoon's shoulder and tried to yank him back.

Namjoon was immediately very aware of his presence and, as soon as he felt the other's hand press against his shoulder, everything seemed to move in a blur. Twisting at lightening speed, he spun around to fling Jimin's arm off as he released his hold on you. Jimin had only added fuel to the fire and things were escalating quickly.

"Don't talk to me about what I can and can not touch when you don't even know the difference yourself!" Namjoon yelled, quickly backing Jimin into the dorm and, after your shock wore off, you followed them inside and shut the door behind you.

"Namjoon, calm down, please!" You reached for his shirt to pull him back but he continued to pursue Jimin, driving him deeper into the living room.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Jimin questioned as Namjoon attempted to corner him.

"You kissed Y/N!" He yelled. "You knew damn well I was interested in her, yet despite that you decided to stick your nose where it didn't belong." He growled toward the smaller member.

Jimin looked your way suddenly, his face turning red either from embarrassment or anger, you weren't sure. Realizing you must have told Namjoon about what happened the other night, his jaw clenched; his pride wouldn't allow him to back down. "Last I checked, you two weren't actually together." He crossed his arms over his chest, knowing that likely wasn't the smartest choice of words.

"You always think you can do whatever the fuck you want. Take whatever the fuck you want. Grow up, Jimin." Namjoon snarled as he inched closer.

"I can take what's up for the taking." Jimin shot back, once again being cocky as he stared up at his hyung. You shoved your way between them, the surprise on both of their faces giving you leverage to push them apart.

"I'm not a piece of property! Neither of you own me!" Jimin's words had infuriated you, and you couldn't stand being talked about like you weren't in the room.

Namjoon didn't bother looking at you as he pointed an accusatory finger at Jimin. "That's all you are to him, a prize to be won." He gently gripped your shoulders and stepped around you so that he was in front of Jimin once more.

You stood there, at a complete loss of what you were supposed to do. You were panicking and irritated with both of them at that last comment. The closer they got to each other the worse it would get. Was anyone else home? You didn't really want to drag them into this but... You threw your hands up in frustration and dashed down the hall.

You stopped at the first door you came across and knocked on it rapidly. It only took a second before it was flung open to reveal a highly annoyed Suga who seemed to have already heard the yelling in the other room and was coming to see what was going on.

"They're fighting...  You have to... I don't know what to do." You stammered, looking a bit desperately toward Suga, whom you hadn't had a whole lot of contact with prior to this moment.

He offered you an apologetic but almost bored look as he gently pushed you to the side and rushed into the hallway. You followed after him.

But just as you two stepped into the living room, a loud thud echoed in the room and your eyes widened to see Jimin had raised his fist and punched Namjoon straight in the jaw. Your hand flew up to cover your mouth as Namjoon took a step back, grabbing his jaw and rubbing it. Recovering quickly, he took a step forward and cocked his arm, returning the hit full force and sending Jimin falling to the ground. The strength of the taller man was considerable, and Jimin knocked into furniture on his way down.

You winced. Suga quickly jumped forward and stepped in front of Namjoon who was about to jump onto the younger member.

"Stop this!" Suga yelled. "Or I'm going to beat both of your asses!" He said in a deep and commanding tone of voice. Suga was older than both boys, so it didn't surprise you much when Jimin and Namjoon stopped dead in their tracks. Anger boiled in their eyes, but they obeyed. If looks could kill...

"I'm sick of him thinking just because he's the leader that he has the right to tell me what I can and cannot do!" Jimin growled, wiping his mouth as he got back up to his feet.

"Someone has to control you or else you act like a horny fucking child!" Namjoon yelled back. He strained against the hand that Suga had pressed firmly to his chest.

"That's enough. You're both acting like fools, and in front of Y/N at that." Suga ordered again, glaring at the both of them. Namjoon visibly flinched when your name came from his mouth, but his body didn't lose any of its tension.

You wanted to help, but you weren't sure what to do. Swiftly, you stepped forward and grabbed a hold of Namjoon's arm to get his attention. "Namjoon, please. That's enough." You tried to insist, reiterating Suga's words.

He looked back at you with a heavy breath.

"See, Y/N. That is what you have to look forward to if you stay with him. He's a controlling asshole and he will try to do the same thing to you!" Jimin had turned his attention to you, and you wished he hadn't. None of the normal playfulness or laughter was in his beautiful brown eyes as he looked at you.

He stepped closer once again but was met with Suga's hand at his chest. Suga was barely a couple of inches taller than Jimin and he had his arms outstretched, holding them away from each other.

"If you don't shut the fuck up, I'm going to hit you, and you remember how well that ended last time." Suga dared him to keep talking, staring Jimin down. You had a feeling the younger man had a knack for pissing people off.

Namjoon clenched his jaw as he turned to look at your hand on his arm.

You could clearly see there was no talking this out right now. No way in hell. With a hard yank, you pulled on Namjoon's hand with both of yours. The action caught him off guard and caused him to stagger back towards you. You kept tugging him away from his friends until you reached the door, throwing it open. You forced him out into the hall with you and loudly slammed the door behind you.

The elevator ride down seemed to take forever, the air in the small space thick and heady. You didn't stop dragging him along until you were both back outside and out into the cool air, hoping it would help calm him down.

Namjoon's eyes were still glaring behind his back, as if expecting Jimin to come rushing out behind the two of you, but he never did.

Turning around, you quickly grabbed his arms and shook him lightly to get his attention."Namjoon!" You said, forcing him to look at you.

He brought his focus back to you but his intense stare burned into you. You saw that his cheek was red and swelling, it was more than likely going to bruise. You raised your hand to place it gingerly over the wound and sighed. "Come back to me." You whispered. Slowly but surely, the fire dimmed, and he tilted his head into your hand, kissing your palm.

"It's not worth it. This isn't worth it." You said, relieved that it looked like you were starting to calm him down.

But your words seemed to do the opposite effect as he clenched his jaw again. Your brows raised as his lifted his head back up.

Without warning, he grabbed your face on both sides and pulled you into a forceful kiss, completely robbing you of breath. Your eyes clenched together tightly as you gripped onto his arms to steady yourself. You kissed him back instantly, his lips hot and urgent against yours. You could faintly taste blood on his lips, Jimin's blow must have cut the inside of his cheek.

Namjoon kissed you for a long few minutes, the forceful nature it held strong till the very end when he finally pulled back, panting for breath. You knew he was seeking comfort in you, and you would be that for him.

"To me-" He started as he stared deeply into your eyes. He said his next words slowly and with emphasis, needing you to hear the seriousness in what he was saying, "YOU are worth it..."
