Unexpected Events

The next morning after your dinner, you woke up with a smile on your face. You rubbed your hands down your face and wiped the sleep from your eyes, reaching over to the nightstand to grab your phone. You unlock it to check the time only to be met with a message and a cute picture from Namjoon.

We enjoyed last night! Look forward to seeing you at the show. -Namjoon

Ah, just the picture alone sent your heart into a sputter. Why did he have to be so cute?! Excited, you showed your friend the picture and she laughed at the look on your face.

"You're sooooo smitten." She teased with a grin.

"Shut up." You said back with a laugh. You bit your lip and set the phone down beside you and stretching.

"Come on get dressed, I've made plans!" She ordered as she began to gather up her own things. You groaned as she came over to your bed and yanked the covers that were keeping your body warm away from you. Pulling your legs towards you, you moved off of the bed and went to the bathroom, clothes in hand.

You spent the rest of the day wandering around the city with your friend. You went to quite a few beautiful places, saw breath taking landscapes, tried some new foods from street vendors, and even bought a few things at unique stores you'd never seen before. You and Nova took turns deciding where you would go. The choices were endless and you were thrilled that you didn't have to rely on your phone to tell you what people did for fun here. Every building you came across was elaborate and you explored as many shops as you could while the sun was still up.

Still, anywhere you went, Namjoon crept into your mind somehow. You'd been so busy you hadn't even looked up the band that was listed on the tickets he gave you.

Probably for the best? Let him show you first hand? That seemed like a better option. You found yourself missing him, which was strange since you had only met him two days ago. As you lay in your hotel bed after a long day of sightseeing and shopping til you literally dropped, you scrolled through the pictures on your phone. You smiled as you looked through the ones you had taken of you and your best friend before landing on the one you took of Namjoon yesterday. Your eyes traced his pixelated face on your screen, dropping your phone with a start as a message vibrated the device. You picked the phone back up and rubbed your now hurt nose before opening the message.

How was your day? - Namjoon

Chewing on your upper lip, you replied hastily with shaking fingers.

It was wonderful, this is the most beautiful city I've ever seen!

It is beautiful, even more so now that you're in it. ;) - Namjoon

How was your day? Miss me yet?

You have no idea. Is it tomorrow yet? - Namjoon

If we go to sleep now, it'll be tomorrow when we wake up.

Why didn't I think of that? Good night, gorgeous. - Namjoon

Good night.

You held your phone to your chest and closed your eyes, trying to calm your pounding heart. You usually weren't so confident or flirty like you had been while texting him, but he seemed to bring out different things in you. You went to sleep with a content grin on your face.

Finally morning came, and you woke up a little earlier than needed, probably due to the nerves you felt at the thought of seeing Namjoon again.

You both didn't waste much time in getting ready and heading out the door. At least Nova seemed excited too, her first concert in South Korea. She was usually pretty happy to try new things, so at least you didn't need to convince her.

"This could still be a serial killer set up." She mumbled, always the skeptic, as you walked down the side walk to the venue.

"He's one hot serial killer." You said, which caused you both to laugh a bit.

The closer you got to the venue however, the more crowded the streets became. It was the peak of the day, so you two didn't think much of it.

However, before long you began to see tons of people wearing shirts with the letters "BTS" written on them.

"Um...I think these people might be going to the same concert." Nova said glancing at you, a bit concerned at the size of the line in front of the arena looming ahead. "How are we supposed to find him in this crowd?" She asked as the sea of people began to get thicker.

"I'll send him a message." You stated as you pulled out your phone and sent a quick text to let him know you were there.

Hey, we're here! Where are you? Have you seen this line?

Great! I'll meet you inside, the line is pretty intense. - Namjoon

You conveyed his message to Nova and she sighed.

"Greaaaaat" She said in a stretched out and slightly stressed manner. You knew crowds made her extremely nervous and you couldn't help but share her in that since you didn't see Namjoon.

You both found the end of the line and stood behind it. Waiting until your turn, the line moved at a snail's pace before you were approached by a person who you assumed was a ticket clerk. The man held a scanner and you could see that they were trying to alleviate the long line as much as possible outside. You both offered up your stubs when he came over to you and waited as he processed them.

The man spoke very fast in Korean, directing you to where you needed to go before hurrying you along so he could keep the line moving. Your brows furrowed in confusion, you must have misheard him seeing as how your knowledge of the language wasn't one hundred percent. But you swear you heard him tell you that you were to go to the right, where a bright yellow sign read 'VIP section.' Sure enough, you looked down at your ticket stub for the first time and saw that you were, indeed, in that part of the arena.

"What did he say?!" Nova asked, raising her voice so that you could hear her over the crowd.

"Uh.. I think he said front of stage, section A?" You said with some uncertainty, quickly looking at the ticket stub he handed back to you a second time to make sure you weren't just reading it wrong.

"Front of stage? In this crowd? How the hell did he manage to get tickets that good?" Nova asked with surprise as her brows shot up.

"Well, he did say he worked in the music industry. Maybe he has connections?" You said with a shrug. You remembered briefly seeing the bill at dinner the other night and you know the price had more than 4 numbers in it. This man must be one hell of a DJ, or maybe they just pay really well in this country, you thought to yourself. "Come on, I think it's this way!" You said, pulling Nova along as you both headed to the right side of the building. You stepped into the arena and climbed down a flight of stairs as you attempted to find your seats.

After some struggle, you both managed to find your place with the help of some English speaking security guards. Instead of stadium seats like you were expecting, you stood in the dirt pit directly in front of a large diamond shaped stage. You glanced around, looking for Namjoon but the spaces around you were filling up quickly. You worried he wouldn't be able to get to you, find you, or have a place to stand near you.

Based on the reaction of the still growing crowd it seemed like the show was about to start, too. Quickly you sent Namjoon another message, letting him know you were there and hoping you were in the right place.

I don't see you but we're inside. Are you here?

I'll be there soon. Save my spot. - Namjoon

"Where is he?" Nova asked, leaning close to you and raising her voice over the crowd.

"He said he'll be here soon." You shouted, though you had to admit that you were becoming a bit worried.

Nova offered you a pat on the shoulder as a signal not to worry. But just as she did so, the lights of the venue changed. Both of you shot your heads toward the stage as the noise from the people around you boomed.

The silhouette of seven figures could be seen at the back of the stage. The crowd was roaring with excitement, the arena filled with cheers and screams.

"Damn it...where is he?" You questioned with another anxious look around, searching for him. You didn't want him to miss out on the concert that he invited you to. You hoped he hadn't gotten lost.

"Uh...Y/N..." You friend said, tapping you on the shoulder. But you barely heard her over the roar of the crowd. "Y/N..." She said again, trying to get your attention.

"Oh! I think I see him!" You said, your face lighting up as you thought you spotted him in the crowd and tried to wave at the figure.

"Y/N!!" Your friend yelled again.

"What?!" You said, turning around to face her but noticed she was pointing up toward the stage.

Your stomach dropped and your eyes went as wide as a deer in headlights. Your friend seemed as equally shocked.

You both were at a complete loss for words.

"Is that...?" Nova asked looking at you in shock.

Surely you were seeing things, there was just no way.

As if to assure you that you weren't insane, the crowd screamed out in unison.

"Kim Namjoon! Kim Seokjin! Min Yoongi! Jung Hoseok! Park Jimin! Kim Taehyung! Jeon Jungkook! BTS!" Wait, did they just say Hoseok?! Sure enough, you saw the man you had met the other night walking towards the center of the stage with Namjoon and the other men. He looked different now, though, in the bright lights and colorful clothing. You had to admit that he looked incredibly handsome.

"I..." Before you could answer, the familiar dimpled man on stage turned to see you in the crowd. His smile was bright, and he raised his hand and rubbed the back of his neck almost nervously. You rubbed your eyes, still in absolute shock as you captured his gaze with your own.

"What the fuck!?" Your friend screamed before you even had time to react yourself. "He's an idol?!" She said, looking back to you stunned beyond belief. "Why didn't you tell me?!" She yelled at you accusingly.

"I didn't know!" You yelled back over the crowd. Your eyes darted back up to see Namjoon standing there, looking over the sea of people and waving at adoring fans. How did this happen? Were you dreaming? You had to be, right?

Namjoon looked to you again from his place on the stage and offered you a wave. This caused the screams of nearly every girl around you to increase in volume, and you were pretty sure the woman next to you almost fainted.

Hoseok waved at you as well, seeming to take notice of the both of you finally and smiled brightly in your directly. His attention lingered on Nova, however, and that did not go unnoticed by you.

"This can't be happening. There is no way this is happening." Nova said, her hands over her mouth in disbelief.

The boys on stage began to get in place and the first song started. To which, you admittedly barely paid attention because of your sheer state of shock. But finally it started to wear down and you listened to the music, though you were completely blown away by the fact that they were all dancing so flawlessly, Namjoon included. All seven of them were dressed in bright, flowy garments and they moved around with such confidence it was admirable.

You let your eyes roam over each of them and you laughed humorlessly to yourself. This was one hell of a way to introduce you to Namjoon's friends. You couldn't help but be highly aware of how gorgeous all of them were, not only physically. Their voices were fantastic and flawless and you found yourself getting caught up in the music. One of them, the shortest member with bright pink hair, danced near your side of the stage, winking at you. His voice was the highest in pitch and something about it seemed to echo in your soul. You smiled shyly in return, the man was beautiful. Once again, girls around you started freaking out and calling "Jimin-ah! We love you!"

Near what you guessed to be the end of the show, Namjoon came closer to your section of the stage and knelt down.

He rapped in your direction, you had already figured out that he wasn't a singer. The intensity of his eyes on yours held you in place and rendered you speechless. His voice was lower than normal as his words came out, quick but so smooth. Your entire body warmed instantly as he continued to stare at you, smirking as if he could sense the effect he had on you.

He offered a wave as if to say goodbye before he stood up to join the rest of the members for the ending of their final song. After the song ended, they thanked the crowd and made their way off the stage.

The normal lights of the venue came back on as the boys disappeared backstage. People began to make their way out. But you, as well as your friend, remained frozen in place.

"What...the hell...just happened?" Nova whispered after almost everyone cleared the building, still seeming to be in a bit of shock.

You could only shrug and shake your head in a daze. But, as you debated on what to do now you felt your phone buzz in your pocket and went to check the screen.

Meet me backstage? - Namjoon

Your eyes once again nearly popped out of your head. But before you could ask how, a member of the security staff walked up to you and your friend.

"Follow me, please." The man said softly, gesturing the two of you to walk with him.

"Did he just say--" Nova tried to ask but was cut off by your words.

"Just go!" You said, pushing her to follow the man.

"Okay, okay!" She muttered, hesitantly following after the man.

A few people turned to look at you as you were escorted away by security, likely assuming you had done something wrong to be removed from the venue.

You placed your hand over your chest to calm the rapid beating of your heart but it did no good. How did you even begin to process what just happened? Namjoon saying that he was in the music business was the biggest understatement of the year. What had you gotten yourself into?
