Room with a View

After nestling yourself comfortably in Namjoon's humongous plush bed, you were fast asleep as soon as your head hit the pillows.

You weren't sure how long you had been out, but you were awakened by the sun's bright rays piercing your eyelids. His bed was bigger than you thought, you were sprawled out diagonally on it and didn't even barely reach the edges.

It must have been around noon, since the sun was so high already. Squinting your eyes, you rubbed at them and sat up in the bed.

You looked down and noticed your clothes neatly folded near the end, all clean and dry. You smiled softly. He must be awake.

Pushing the covers back, you swung your legs over the side of the bed. Standing up, you moved to get your clothes so you could change, but as you did you looked out toward the balcony to see the most beautiful view.

Namjoon was standing outside leaning on the railing, his back to you. The scenery he was staring at was also breathtaking, but you would never get used to how handsome he was. He had changed into a pair of dark jeans and had a black leather jacket on. Oh, Namjoon in leather, the sight made your mouth water.

Raising a hang to try and smooth out your bird's nest of hair, you approached the sliding glass door and pushed it open to be met with the warm kiss of the sun.

"Hey." You called out with a smile. "Thanks for washing my clothes." You said, even though you still had not changed back into them. The concrete of the balcony warmed your feet as you moved over to him.

Namjoon glanced over his shoulder with a somber look but forced a tight lipped smile as you came closer. Your brows knitted together, it seemed like something was bothering him. His normally relaxed shoulders were tense and his hands were clasped tight. He looked tired.

"You okay?" You asked, approaching his side on the terrace.

"Yeah, just...irritated." Namjoon said with a breath, trying to let it go. He had told you the truth, though, instead of shrugging it off and pretending nothing was wrong.

"Did something happen?" You asked, leaning closer toward the railing.

He looked over at you and tried to offer you a carefree smile so you didn't worry about it. Taking your hand, he ran his thumb over the lines on your palm.

"Jimin and I just got into an argument this morning, that's all." Namjoon explained. You wondered what they could have fought about, but you didn't want to push him. He would tell you if he wanted you to know.

"Oh..." you said softly, not wishing to pry too hard into the situation. Jimin had been giving you weird looks since the day you met, and something in the back of your mind poked at you. Shaking your head, you ignored it.

"I'm sure you two will work it out. Like you said, that's what makes you guys strong, you don't let things come between you." You said, trying to encourage him as you gently placed a hand on his shoulder and rubbed softly, hoping to ease his mind.

"Yeah, things." Namjoon stared out towards the ocean, his face set in a mask void of emotion. It worried you, you weren't used to seeing him like this and didn't know what to say to make it better.

You snaked your arm under his and kissed his shoulder, making him smile at you a bit more sincerely. For now he let the subject drop and changed it instead. His blank face turned into one of amusement and humor.

"So...I guess you didn't need to worry about your friend spending the night alone in a hotel room." He decided to comment while holding back his laughter.

"Oh god, you saw her?" You asked, lowering your head as you covered your eyes with your hand. You were mortified, and you prayed that this wasn't the kind of image that stuck in his mind when he thought of your best friend in the future. She wasn't that kind of person.

"No. But Jimin and I shared the living room last night and he told me why he was forced out of the room." That made sense, since he had told you that Jimin roomed with Hoseok. You felt bad that Nova had forced him from his own bed. You would have to talk to her about that later.

"Yeah, I didn't really see that coming. I ran into her last night in the hall after I showered." You sighed, lowering your hand with a breath. "But yeah, guess I didn't need to worry about her." You added, shaking your head with a sarcastic laugh. On the bright side, at least you ended up in the same place. You knew she was safe, and that made you feel a little better.

"I ran into Hoseok this morning when I woke up. He said he was hoping to take Nova out for the evening. I figured, if you're free, you and I could spend the day together. Since...I'm kinda booked solid for the next few days." Namjoon frowned apologetically, running his hands over his face. You knew realistically that you wouldn't be spending every day here with him, but it still upset you to hear him say it out loud.

After all, he was a rapping sensation with a hectic life and little time to spend galavanting with you. You were also on vacation, and you were neglecting the time you had allotted specifically for Nova. Guilt formed a pit in your stomach at the thought of how little you had seen her.

The only thing that gave you solace was that she was the type of person to be completely honest with you, and if she felt angry about how much time you were spending with Namjoon, she wouldn't hesitate to let you know. Besides, from the looks of it, she was having her own fill of handsome distraction.

Well, if Nova was already going out with Hoseok, you might as well. Plus, based on what he said, you wouldn't get to see him for a few days. Not wanting to waste any time, you agreed. "Sure. Just let me go get changed." You added before turning around and heading back inside.

Grabbing your freshly cleaned dress, you padded into the bathroom. It was spotless as he said, and you thought about what his idea of messy would be. If you had to guess, you figured there would have been a shirt or two here, maybe a runaway dab of hand soap there.

He struck you as the OCD type, always needing things to be tidy and in order. The bathroom was done in a dark color scheme. The countertop was a black cherry wood and the sink was a large, ceramic bowl that sat on top instead of being embedded like most sinks. There was a claw foot tub to your left and a walk in shower with black tiles and a seat inside across from it.

Plush black rugs were placed in front of all of the places water could cause someone to fall. The toilet in the corner looked to be one of those that opened by itself and was self cleaning. There was an electronic pad next to it on the wall, displaying different options in Korean that you didn't have the patience to examine at the moment.

You pulled Namjoon's shirt over your head and slipped your legs out of the sweat pants, his scent still lingering on your skin. You slid your body back into your dress and bent down to pick the discarded articles of clothing off the floor. Folding them neatly, you placed them on the counter. You grabbed the brush next to your hand and ran it through the mess of tangles on your head.

You breathed on the palm of your hand, grimacing at the morning breath that came out. Biting your lip, you grinned mischievously at the tooth brush that was next to the sink. Before you could talk yourself out of it, you ran it under the tap and squeezed toothpaste onto the bristles before sticking it into your mouth.

You finished brushing your teeth with a cocky smile, rinsing your mouth and wiping at it with the black hand towel hanging next to you. Pinching your cheeks to bring some color to them, you turned on your heel and went out to join Namjoon in the living room.
