Time skip to the presentation ceremony of the UA sports festival, because I don't see the reason to reiterate the canon story.
There's going to be quite a few time skips sorry!

Midoriya looked up at the rising platforms, seeing Tokoyami, Todoroki, and ...

...a restrained Bakugou.

Midoriya sighed, he kind of expected an explosive reaction from him once he woke. But not to that extent.

But deep down, he was happy, Bakugou kept his promise, and became number one. Even if he didn't recognize it, a victory was still a victory.

Kacchan always keeps his promises.

Midoriya caught Bakugou's gaze, one that was still full of the familiar hatred and disgust.

His heart clenched, and pain coursed through him.

He couldn't accept the fact that he was now a castaway, ignored by his only childhood friend that he loved.

He looked down at his bandages and casts.

Oh god I look like a mummy.

I need to learn how to control my quirk, fast.

Not long after, Midoriya found himself walking home, he didn't see a point in staying after the festival. And plus, he wouldn't want to walk home the same time as Bakugou.

After all, if they met, he wouldn't be sure what would happen.

"Midoriya-shonen."

He turned around, to see All Might, his idol, standing there, his voice one of concern. Stretching his bony arms towards him.

"Come with me for a bit."

They walked past cherry blossoms, stepped on petals strewn on the ground. They both had thoughts, but words were unsung.

"Why did you call me here, All Might?" Midoriya has asked once they stopped at a field of flowers in the park.

Spring's wind was gently blowing All Mights hair, in his eyes Midoriya could see concern and a slight sadness.

"What's your relationship with Bakugou-shonen?"

Was he that obvious? Midoriya swallowed, All Might trusted him, and he trusted All Might the same.

It should be fine if he could tell someone right?

"Ka...kacchan and I were childhood friends, now... classmates."

All Might chuckled,

"Sorry, I phrased the question wrongly."

"Who is Bakugou-shonen to you?"

Midoriya looked at All Might, he knew All Might had always suspected something between him and Bakugou. He couldn't blame him though, it is the truth.

Tears welled up in Midoriya's eyes as he tried to hold back his tears.

All Might took that as a signal to continue.

"I see it in your eyes Midoriya, they hold great determination to becoming the best hero, but they have a certain softness towards your childhood friend."

Tears slipped out of Midoriya's eyes, and trickled down his cheeks.

"Kacchan... is the most important person to me."

"He didn't give up on me once he found out I was quirkless, he was there for me when no one was."

"He understood what others couldn't, and..."

"He saved me from my sadness."

"He is my hero, All Might."

All Might nodded.

"And does Bakugou-shonen know about your feelings?"

Midoriya smiled, "He doesn't."

All Might sighed.

"Midoriya, my boy, I can see you're horribly in love with Bakugou, I've been watching you since you've entered UA. I'm not against it, but... "

He knew what All Might meant.

It meant the Hana syndrome would strike him, it was as plain as day.

He constantly overused his quirk, and he's hopelessly in love.

Wasn't it the perfect scenario?

But still.

"I won't be able to stop loving him, All Might, I don't think I will..."

"Then you have to learn to control your quirk, you won't have long."

He felt like he had been punched in the lungs, stripped of air as sudden realization dawned upon him.

He didn't have much time left.

Midoriya gasped for air, whilst trying to stop his tears from flowing down. As he clutched his heart in agony. He knew this was going to happen, he didn't need someone to tell him that.

All Might looked at him sadly,

"That is all, I hope you do your best, I will guide you along the way."

He was about to leave when Midoriya stuttered,

"Did you have the Hana Syndrome, All Might?"

All Might was momentarily stunned, before he walked forward and hugged Midoriya.

He felt like crying all over again.

Whilst in the midst of All Might's embrace, he muttered,

"Yes, my boy, it would be rather common for someone like me to get it. But I hid my surgery from the media."

"Does that mean you forgot all about the person you loved most?"

He felt All Might's embrace tighten, and knew he was struggling too.

They were both alike but different at the same time.

"Yes, Midoriya-shonen. I forgot who my soulmate was."

"Then why? Why did you remove the flower if it meant you would forget?"

All might broke the hug, Midoriya saw the dark eye bags under his gaunt eyeballs, as he smiled sadly.

"Because people needed the symbol of peace to be alive."

After all,

You belong to the world, and the world only.
