It was a bright sunny day. Ash had just won the Alola League, and was heading to Kalos to ask a favor. "Serena!" he shouted. Serena turned and gasped. She quickly hopped over to him. "Ash! How've you been?" They chatted for a while, then Ash popped the question. "Serena, I've loved you ever since I met you. I didn't realize it until you kissed me. But I was thinking..is it too late to ask for you to be my girlfriend?" Serena was silent. "I'm sorry Ash," she began in a cold voice, "but I have a boyfriend. And I'm not interested in a boy who lost every single league." "B-but-" Ash started. "That was then, this is now." Serena started to walk away, then realized what she had said. "Wait, Ash! I didn't mean tha—" But it was too late. Ash had disappeared from sight. Serena sighed. Just because she was too nervous and jittery, she had missed her last chance to be with Ash. Serena walked back to her boyfriend. "Hey, did anything bad happen, babe?" "No, nothing at all, Calem."
