Ash awoke from a very exhausting Valentine's day. Yesterday, Mallow and them all went to the Central Park and if you were ask Ash about, he would tell you it was fairly boring, but don't tell Mallow that. It wasn't that Ash didn't enjoy the day, it was just if he had a choice he would rather be doing something else. 

Anyways, it was now Wednesday, today he was supposed to meet up and hang out with the Alolan girls after school. 

He quickly hurried off to school, not wanting to be late, if he was late one more time he would have to serve detention. 

As he was walking over to the high school, he spotted a certain honey blonde girl walking alone to school as well. She looked up at the same time and smiled at him.

"Yo Serena where's Calem?" Ash asked.

Serena for a minute couldn't think of what to say. In the end all she could think of was, "We just, I don't know took a break I guess."

"Why?" Ash blurted the first thing that came to his mind.

"It's really complicated and so..." Ash put his hand up.

"I don't really think we have time for a long story, because school starts in five minutes..."

Serena panicked...

They were a mile away...

When they finally made it to the school, they were let in through the office. 

"Mr. Ketchum, you have detention after school today." The secretary stated.

"But I..." Ash sputtered.

"Mr. Ketchum how would you like it to be two days of detention?"

"One day is a ok!" Ash quickly said smiling. Serena almost fell over laughing so hard. Causing Ash to glare at her, which only made her laugh more.

"Oh I see Ms. Yvonne, if you think this is funny why don't you join him today." The secretary said.

"B-but I..." Now it was Serena's turn to sputter.

"No but's. Now I expect the both of you to be on time to classes now. And Mr. Ketchum, don't think of skipping it, or else it's detention for a whole week." She directed her attention back to Ash who was wiping tears from his eyes laughing so hard.

Hearing this he stood up straight again. "Yes ma'am I promise I won't skip out."

"Good, now get to class the both of you."

They walked out of the office. 

"Thanks a lot Ash... now I have detention, do you know what that'll look like on my resume for college when I apply?" She screamed at him.

"Relax Serena, I forgot you still haven't reached your rebellious stage yet have you?" He smiled.

"Well then Mr. Rebellious, you made me late and gave me a detention as well."

"It was your fault for laughing at me." He said smugly.

Now Serena couldn't think of a response to that, they reached the end of the hallway and the two of them split off to their classes.

At lunch they all met up in the S-Class room. 

"Where were you guys?" Dawn asked when she saw Ash and Serena.

"Yeah, were you guys late for school or something?" Iris said.

"See the problem was, I was late, I walked with Serena who was also late, realized that I had detention, she laughed at me and then ended getting roped into detention as well." He grinned sheepishly.

"Wait Serena got detention too?" May said. When Ash nodded she quickly ran over to Serena and hugged her, "You poor thing, you should have just ignored Ash when he tried to talk to you!"

"ASH YOU IDIOT!" Mallow screamed making Ash cover his ears.

"Relax Mallow it was just one detention..." He answered calmly.

"You know Serena will never survive in detention with those rebellious people." Mallow said.

"She has to learn eventually..." Ash said.

"That excuse is the worst one you could possibly do." Lillie said. And they all sweat dropped.

"Wait, don't you usually walk with Calem to school?" Misty asked.

"See... Calem and I broke up..." Serena said.

"NANI!!!!!!!" They all yelled except for Ash who just covered his ears.

Mallow whispered into Ash's ear. "Now's your chance." She said.

"Mallow no, just chill out will you." Ash blushed. It was true, Ash still had a crush on Serena, maybe Mallow was right. But the time just wasn't right.

The bell rang signaling the beginning of the next period. 

For Ash and Serena, it was Math, with Calem.

Serena hurried to class along with Ash when she saw Calem, this was the first time since she told him she needed a break that they've met.

She wanted to say something, but just couldn't, it felt too awkward.

She could see something in Calem's eyes however, there was anger, not at her, but at the raven-haired boy next to her.

That's weird, she thought, I don't even like Ash, wait... do I? I don't even know. She shook her head and continued working on the Math problems.

The final bell rang indicating that school was over. Normally Ash would be super excited to get going home, but instead took the long walk to the detention room.

It was weird, no one was in there already. He looked at the list of the names of people with detention. There were only two names on the sheet.

Ash almost started laughing out loud he couldn't wait to see the look of surprise on the honey blonde girl's face when she saw the list.

Five minutes later, there she stood in the door way, wondering why it was only Ash in there. Confused she looked at the sheet hoping not for the worst.

It was as though she feared. It was just them two. She groaned loudly as the raven-haired boy just grinned to himself. 

There wasn't much to do during detention. Serena just tried to focus on doing her homework. She kept sneaking glances at Ash. He was definitely cute. Wait, what's happening. She quickly shook her head again erasing the thoughts from her head. Did she just call him cute?

Ash in the meantime was falling asleep easily. He had his hat over his eyes and started nodded off a little. He did notice a certain honey-blonde girl staring at him which made him smile.

Detention was actually ok for the most part considering that Ash was asleep. Following this Serena felt mentally exhausted from the day and just wanted to take a nap. So she went home and slept.

Ash on the other hand had to hang out with Mallow, Lillie, and Lana. He was dragged all around town and the only highlight was being able to eat ramen at the end. 

Still the day couldn't have been better for Ash...

And as for Serena, spending time with the raven-haired boy wasn't so bad after all. She thought before going to sleep...
