When Isabelle had turned around to see Klaus, it was as though the world had suddenly disappeared. That feeling was there in their hearts again, the pull that was almost too much to be able to handle.

"Hello love," Klaus stated with a smirk.

He had leaned himself against the wall that was next to him, tilting his head to look at Isabelle. She was feeling small under his gaze, not knowing what to do with herself. She had so many emotions bundled up inside her, that just a moment or action would make them burst.

"Nik," Isabelle replied.

She wanted to sound as though anything that he did was not affecting her in any way, but then she would be lying to herself. When she had just spoken, she had sounded breathless, that just seeing Klaus makes her lose her breath.

"How are you?" Isabelle asked.

She had then leaned herself so that the two are facing each other.

Isabelle did not know that Klaus' entire family had seen the two of them in the grill. Reconnecting and finally seeing each other after more than a decade. She did not know that Klaus had a daughter, that he could have possibly moved on.

Isabelle never considered that he could move on from the one night that the two had spent together talking.

"Good, I actually have a daughter now," Klaus had stated.

Then, at that moment, Isabelle's heart shattered for a moment. She didn't even think of a possibility that he could move on, but he doesn't feel the same about her. Apparently, her worst fears had come true.

Isabelle had then begun to attempt to get as far away from Klaus actually as she could. She was heartbroken, and she didn't want to be anywhere near the man. Now that she knew that he had moved on for sure, his daughter being the primary reason, she saw no point in attempting to start anything with him.

Klaus had suddenly realized the weight of his words. Klaus had in a split second, reached out, and grabbed her hand, stopping Isabelle in her place.

Klaus had felt that it was finally time to reveal the feelings that he had kept within, while they were separated. He felt the best way to do that is to show somewhat of a dedication that he had towards Isabelle.

The letters were one of the main ways that he showed that he wanted her, that he waited for, somewhat.

"I wrote to you, but I never sent the letters," Klaus spoke.

This was the moment of truth, this moment could make or break their relationship, and Klaus hoped that this moment with signify that they could finally be together, but nothing was holding them back.

"I did the same thing," Isabelle replied with a sigh.

"But you've moved on now, and it's too late for us," Isabelle added on with a defeated look on her face, as though she knew that the world was against her from the start.

That this was the world's cruel way of playing tricks on her.

"It's been too long," Isabelle finished.

"No it has not, we can still be something," Klaus replied.

"Do you even want that? Do you even want me? What if it does not work out? What if nothing comes of it? What if-" Isabelle's doubts were stopped when Klaus leaned down and kissed Isabelle.

The kiss was something that both of them had waited for, and now that it had finally happened, they were both more than happy about it. Klaus attempted to show his care, his love, and how much he missed Isabelle through this kiss.

It was as though their lost souls had finally been connected, and they were both confident enough to be able to pursue their relationship. No matter their past and flaws, they wanted each other, and maybe that would be enough in the long run.

"Does that answer your question?" Klaus asked with a smirk on his face.

"Maybe," Isabelle responded.

Then, she had leaned up and kissed the man that she had thought about for so long, open, and willing to take the risk of a relationship.

Just the Epilogue left now!
