May's POV

When my alarm rang promptly at 6:30 I immediately turn it off because I was already awake. I couldn't sleep last night.

I mean how could I sleep when all I could think about was what happened at James party on Friday which by the way, kept playing in my head like a scene from a movie.

Ugh. Today is going to be a long, long day.

I immediately get up from my bed and walk to the bathroom.

After I finished taking my bath and brushing my teeth I went to my vanity mirror and started combing my hair instead of brushing it which according to May was going to be more easy since I just straightened it and it was true. After combing it I put my hair up in a ponytail sat there as I continued thinking about what happened on Friday, I just can't get it out of my head.

"Enough" I said to my reflection on the mirror "no more," I said pointing to the mirror "you are going to get up from your lazy ass,go that closet,pick a beautiful cloth,go to school and talk to Ben about what happened on Friday. Now get up"

And that was exactly what I did,I stand in front of my mirror and admire my cloth which isn't much, am wearing a special ash off shoulder top over a skinny blue jeans with a comfortable black heel which gave my leg the illusion of being endless in a sexy way. I match it up with a black bag.

OK, so the reason why this off shoulder is special is because it was from one of the two gifts from my Granny, my mum's mother, for my birthday last year.

The other gift was a cake she baked herself and let's just say that she is way better at giving fashion advice than she is at baking or any other thing related to the kitchen.

At 68 my Granny still looks beautiful, with little wrinkles on her face, her hair is blonde white and I get my green eyes from her, I get everything from her unlike my grandpa who at 70 still has his looks but his hair is almost gone.

I sighs as I look in the mirror,

"Ugh, this week is going to be amazing" note the sarcasm.

I check the time. 7:23, I sigh and stand before the mirror confused, "should I keep my hair up or down?" After a few moments of contemplating I finally decide to put it up.

Then I put a bit of mascara on my eyelashes which highlighted my green eyes,and lastly added a pair of silver dangling earrings.

I quickly do my bed and left my room to go for breakfast, but on my way done I realised that I didn't spray that really expensive perfume that I bought on a whim last week so I went back to my room to put it on. Then I finally went down for breakfast.

When I got down mum was the only one in the kitchen which also serves as the dining room.

She was already setting the food on the table.

"Good morning, mum"

When my mum saw me she was shocked as she continued looking at my as if I were from another planet.

"Mum " I said when she continued gawking at me.

"Mom, is it that bad?, should I go change?" I asked.

And that seems to get to her as she gulped in astonishment and spoke

"Uhm, sorry you just took me by surprise Darling, you look great."

I sigh in relief "thanks"

And then she starts sobbing.

"Mom,what is it ? Are you okay ? Is something wrong? " I ask as I rush to her

"No no no, everything is fine" she says through sobs "Am just... I just realised how grown up my baby girl is."

"Mom" I say blinking back tears

"I know I know but you just look so beautiful and all grown up that I just.. I just..."

"Mum,you do realise that am still your baby girl, right? And no matter how grown up I become I will always be your baby girl. Alright?" I say and hug her.

"I know I know, Am just feeling emotional so today and I just can't help it"

"I know, its okay."

Then April and Bianca just choose that moment to walk in together which they always did when they help each other with make up. Bianca is April's best friend. She has beautiful red hair, brown eyes and creamy skin. She is really beautiful and she knows it. She is nice and all but for some reason she seems to hate me. Why?, I have no idea.

"Good morning Mum" April greets

"Good morning Mrs Sheridan,who is that person sitting next to you ?" Bianca asks as she finished arranging the food on the table.

Mum tries not to snicker and fails.

April groans and rolls her eyes "seriously,don't you make use of your eyes?"

Bianca chose to ignore April

"Who is she?,wait don't tell me,she looks familiar, I know her?"

" finally " April mutter under her breath.

"O M G " Bianca screeches " you are that model who was on the cover of dazzle magazine last week, O M G , can I get your autograph please. "

Immediately she said that we all burst into laughter.

"What did I say something wrong?" Bianca asks

"Its.." I start to confess but April cuts me off by saying...

"She would love to, Summer but she offered to help mum wash the dishes after breakfast, so she can't"

"Oh,that unfortuna..." She trails off but suddenly said "I can do the dishes for you Mrs Sheridan,I mean..I wash the dishes my self everyday. This place is just like home to me. So its nothing. I like doing dishes, Easy. I help you wash and then you sign my autograph. Quid pro quo."

Mum looked Shocked,and so do I.

I mean who wouldn't, Bianca just said she likes doing dishes when she in fact hates it with a passion, always find ways to get out of doing dishes at her house,complaining that it ruins her manicure.

Feeling sly,I changed my voice and said "wow, thank you, I would love to sign your autograph"

Bianca brightens up and say

"Wait let me get a pen"

She was about to stand when I stop her

"Wait, I will sign it after you do the dishes"

Her face turn into a scowl but says okay.

We keep up the charade until after breakfast, then Bianca took the plates and does the dishes.

After the dishes she finally asks

"Where is June ?, I haven't seen her all morning. Did she leave early ?"

"Girls,am leaving for work .bye" she says as she escapes leaving only May and I to face Bianca.

Bianca use a towel to dry her hand and faces us

"All done, so now autograph my top"

"Uhm, Bianca about that... You see ... Ahm..."

"Uhm, am going to school" April says in an attempt to leave me alone with Bianca

"April, wait up let's go together " I say

"Uhm, do you go to our school, haven't seen you there before." Bianca asks in suspicion

"Bye " April says and ran out of the house.

I sighs and give in "Bianca. Its me, June"

"Uhm, what does June has to do with this ?"

"Bianca. What am saying is that I am June"

"Wait what ? June?,you're_,wait you made me_"

I know she's going to exploded very soon.

" yeah, thanks for understanding, bye" I shout as I run out the house

"Ahaaaaa " she shouts from inside and I ran out.

I start laughing immediately I left the house,I also saw April who was patiently waiting for me outside.

She smiles immediately she sees me "that sounded like it went well"

I groan and roll my eyes "tell me about it. Nice move leaving me in there alone"

She smiles "come on, it was fun "

"Yeah right"

"So,wanna tell me about it ?" She ask later as we enter the school gate

"About what ?" I ask even though I know what she's asking about

"Come on, give me a break, something is definitely wrong with, and don't even think of lying about it, I've notice how you've been spacing out a lot."

I sigh "fine, something is going on,but don't worry I can take care of it, I'll tell you about it later "

"You better" she says as we walk into the busy hallway.

" I will, should I go home later without you?" I ask because we don't have any class together and I won't see her till school is done for the day.

"Nah, am going home with a friend "

"OK, then, say hello to Brett for me" I said as I open my locker

"Tell him yourself" she says and slam her locker shut

"Is everything okay with you guys ?" I ask

"Brett is cheating on me"

"What?, are you sure?"

She sighs and rest her head against her locker "yes, I saw him kissing Brittany at James party"

"Oh, sorry"

"Its okay"

"What did he have to say about it ?" I ask

"What can he say ?, besides I won't listen to whatever he has to say "

"Uhm why, it might be a misunderstanding"

"yeah right, whatever, all that matters is that he cheated and if I forgive him he'll just do it again" she says "we both know that"

And she's right , he'll just do it again. At least that was what dad did to mom, we both remember them fighting about dad cheating when mum found out he asked for forgiveness and mum forgave him and once she did he'll do it again.

That's how the circle was , dad cheats mum forgives, he'll do it again and again and she'll always forgive him.

That is until she finally learnt her lesson but it was already too late.

April snaps her fight in front of my face "hey ,you OK ?"

"Uhm, yea am fine" I said

"You sure, been calling you for a while now" she says with concern

"Yea am fine, was just thinking about something"

"OK, well am_ why is he headed here ?" She says looking over my shoulder.

I turn and see Ben walking towards us.

"Oh, am late for class ,am just gonna go" I say and try to walk away .

"May , wait up " Ben says, And that seems to get the attention of everyone in the hallway

"Yea, May wait up ,Ben seems to have something he wants to say to you" April says obviously intrigued by what is happening.

I groan and stop "what do you want Ben ?"

"Hi" he says "I just wanted to talk to you about Friday night"

April eyes widen in surprise "Friday night, hmm ,what happened on Friday night?"

"Nothing" I rush to say

Whisper started going round the hallway as they all suddenly become Interested in our conversation.

I drag Ben away from the hallway into the janitor closet

"What the hell was that ?" I ask

"Sorry, I just wanted to talk to you about Friday night" he says

"What about Friday night?, oh you mean the kiss"

He nods "yes,the kiss, about that I just wanted you to know_"

I interrupt him "yes, I know it means nothing "

His eyes widen in shock "wait what ?, no it doesn't means nothing , what am trying to say is that I like you"

"Wait what?,are you kidding me, oh I see you are here on a dare to play pranks on me"

"No, am not" he inhales "what am saying is that I like you."
