John's POV
As I cooked dinner, the front door opened and Phillip walked in. I covered the pot with the lid and walked out of the kitchen. I noticed a boy next to him.

"Phillip? Who is this?" I asked walking towards them. Realization hit me. "Wait. Alex! Angelica!" Alex ran into the room from his office and Angelica slid down the staircase.

"John, love what's going on? Phillip who is this?" Alex looked confused. I sat down on the couch and Alex sat beside me. Angelica sat on the loveseat on the edge of it.

"Pops, Dad. This is George, my," he gulped. "My boyfriend." Angelica got up and screamed before running to her room.

"Boyfriend? Angelica mentioned something about a boyfriend but I thought it wasn't real." Alex scratched the back of his neck and I rubbed his back. "George, it's a pleasure to meet you." He stood up and put his hand out. George shook it and I did the same.

"Can, I stay at his house tonight?" Phillip asked nervously. I looked at Alex and he sighed.

"I guess so." He smiled and thanked us before running upstairs. "Was that a good idea?"

"I don't know. Just hope for the best." Alex responded before retreating back to his office. I went back to making dinner shaking my head.

Angelica's POV
"Sorry about my family. They probably weren't prepared to meet you."

I heard Phillip’s voice grow near my room. I still stood in front of my mirror in my dress admiring it. It was dark red color, floor length with spaghetti straps, and a low cut top. My black heels were sitting on my bed. I was startled when my dorm opened.

"Hey An-what are you wearing!" Phillip asked protectively as he and George stood at the doorway.

"A dress?" He came closer and walked around me, looking me up and down.

"Mhmm. And why?"

"I'm going to a party with Theo and Mr.Burr tonight. Pip, you don't have to be so over protective."

"Alright but-." His sentence was interrupted by dad calling for him. "Excuse me." He left and George still stood at the doorway while I smooth out the wrinkles in my dress.

"That dress looks nice on you. It hugs your curves in every way." George said staring at me.

"Thank you?" I bent down to get my shoes and I could feel his smirk burning into my skin.

"If I wasn't in love with Phillip, I'd be all over you."

"George please stop. I'm not interested and you're dating my brother. Just go find Phillip please." I sighed pointing towards his room. My phone buzzed and Theo’s contact popped up.

Theo:Get in loser, we're going partying.
Angie:I'm coming mom.

I laughed and ran downstairs to my parents. I kissed both of them on the cheek. "Bye daddy. Bye Father."

"Be safe Angie. Don't touch any alcohol! I'll be texting Aaron for updates on you. Love you!" I rolled my eyes but smiled, opening the door while doing so.

"Love you too!" I giggled and closed the door behind me. I got in Theo’s car and she smiled.

"Look at you miss fancy. Damn, you look hot." Theo said. Burr just smiled and waved at me.

"Hello Angelica. I'm glad you could join us tonight." I grinned brightly. "Well, let's go. As the head of the firm, I've got to be there soon." Theo and I nodded and she turned around to face me.

"So Ange. Are you trying out for the school's production of Rent?"

"Duh. I'm going for Mimi." Theo smiled.

"Dad, can I play Rent? I wanna hear Ange sing!" He chuckled and handed Theo the aux cord. I heard the opening to Light My Candle and began to sing.

What'd you forget?

Got a light?

I know you, you're, you're shivering.

It's nothing they turned off my heat, and I'm just a little weak on my feet. Would you light my candle?

"Angelica, you already sound amazing. You'll be the best Mimi this school will see!" Theo said as her dad pulled up at a convention center. "Oh, I guess we're here."

"I'm not that good Theo." I responded, closing the car door. "Besides, I'm pretty sure Nathaniel wants to go for Roger." I blushed.

Theo nudged my shoulder, smirking. "Ohh. Little Ange has a crush!"

"Come on girls." Mr.Burr said straightening his tie. "Angelica, I think you'll enjoy this." He smiled as we entered.

People ran up to greet him while Theo pulled me towards a table. It wasn't long until Theo tapped my arm. "Hey. Look over there." She pointed to a wall where- Uncle Thomas!

I stood up and ran to him, jumping into his arms. "Uncle Tommy! You're back!" I said putting my head into his neck, hugging him tightly.

"Hey darlin. Yes I am and we're here to stay." We? He noticed the look of confusion on my face and smiled.

"Hey sweetie." I heard my aunt's voice and I turned around to see my aunt standing in a light pink dress. Tears pricked at my eyes.

"Auntie Angie!" I hugged her while still in my uncle's arms. "You're back. What, where were you guys?"

"Angie, sweetie, your uncle and I eloped." She frowned a little but I just smile.

"Oh. Finally you guys got married! When do I get more cousins?" They laughed and Uncle Tommy set me down on the ground.

"Well, we want to wait. I've been freezing my eggs that way I can have kids later. Being in your late 30s makes it harder to have kids." I only smiled and hugged my aunt. "I missed you."

"I missed you too Auntie. Crap! I need to go back to Theo. It was nice seeing you guys again. Love you!"

"We love you too Ange. But, we're actually at Burr's table as well. We'll come with you." I smiled and we walked back to the table where Theo was moving a grape around her plate.

"Theooo!" I whined. "Look. I found them." She giggled and gestured to the seats at the table.

"That's good. My dad went to go find someone. He should be back soon."

I nodded and ordered a plate from the waiter. This was going to be a long night.

John's POV
"John. Come love meeeee!" Alex whined from the living room making me laugh. I emerged from the kitchen after cleaning up the dishes from dinner and flopped on the couch.

"Hey darlin." He snuggled into my side and smiled. "So. Angelica is with Burr and Phillip is at his boyfriend's house. Whatever shall we do with a house to ourselves?" I said smirking.

"I have an idea." He said standing up and pulling me up the stairs. Oh, he's gonna regret this.
