Feels warning: the happy feels!!!! Holy crap chapter after this one is the last one! One more chapter before the sequel! I'm so excited! Ok now to the chapter!!!

John's POV

We waited for a really long time in the waiting room for a long time. They had to run some tests on Alex and we ended up having Aspen admitted. Suddenly a nurse comes into the waiting area.

"Aspen Laurens," she says.

Before she can leave I stop her, "any news on Alexander?"

"I'm sorry we don't have anyone here under that name," she says. I sigh.

"How about Alexandra?" I ask. Why don't they change his name? They no he's trans.

"There still running tests on her," she says.

"Him," I correct her.

"Oh ok, anyway, you all may go see Aspen for the time being," she says and walks.

I signal for the group to follow me to Aspen's room. Eliza has been really worried. I'm suprised they haven't made it official yet.

We get to Aspen's room and she is sitting on the bed fittling with her IV. She looks up and smiles at us when we walk in.

"Hey, Redwood!" Eliza says, "how do you feel?"

"I'm fine, Lizard, really," she says. "Just mad I have to stay over night. I hate hospitals and I don't need to stay the most he did was grab my arm and hit me a couple of times."

"Sorry, Aspy doctor's orders," I say, using a nickname our mom and called her when we were kids.

"Aspy?" Herc asks. He and Aspen became pretty close after the whole saving Laf fiasco. They're  not as close as she is with Alex though. 

"Yeah its a nickname our mom and I called her," I say.

"Yes and him and maybe Alex are the only ones aloud to call me that," she says.

"Wow, I love how Alex has more privates then me," Eliza laughs.

"Awww come on Liz, you know you love me," Aspen jokes.

"Your right I do," Eliza says. The room goes silent.

"Eliza you just admitted you love Aspen," Angie says.

"Y-you love me?" Aspen asks.

"I-I yes," Eliza studders.

"I love you too!" Exclaims Aspen. Eliza wraps her arms around Aspen and hugs her tightly. "Eliza, c-can I kiss you?"

"Yes Aspen," Aspen pulls Eliza into a kiss. These two are to cute.

Just then the nurse comes in, "you all can visit your other friend now."

We nod. Eliza, Angie, Thomas, James, and Nat stay with Aspen. Peggy, Herc, Laf, and I all go to visit Alex.

We walk into his room and he is awake. He smiles when he sees us. I feel the tears come to my eyes and I rush to him, gentally taking him in my arms. He wraps his arms around me and I can feel his shaking as he cries.

"I love you so much, Alex," I whisper into his ear.

"I love you, too, John," he whispers. "I was so scared."

"I know, I know," I pull away and look into his light brown eyes. "Your safe now."

He kisses me and I wrap my arms around him again. I will always keep him safe in my arms.
