Herc's POV

After the storm Laf and I walked around the dorm buildings one of them was extremely damaged, the oldest building. Laf and I, being the complete and utter idiots we are, had to check it out. Even the inside was destroyed. We stopped at one point and suddenly I heard a loud crack come from the floor. I look down at the floor, and Lafayette suddenly pushes me. I fall to the ground and look up there is a big whole in the floor where Laf was.

I crawl to the edge and pear in, it's a deep whole, "Laf?! Are you down there?!" I shout. He is my best friend.

"Herc?!" I hear a weak voice call back. It has a heavy French accent.

I shine my phone flashlight down the whole and see Laf. He is sitting against the wall. I can see blood but I don't know where it's coming from. "Laf, hang on!" I yell, "I'm gonna go get help!" I see him nod and I go running to find someone.

That brings us up to hear, with Angelica and Jefferson running fast on my heals back to where Laf is trapped.

We get there and Thomas looks into the whole, "Oh my God! Angelica call an ambulance and the group! Hurry!"

She does so and I start to cry, Thomas tries to comfort me best he can but I'm so scared for Laf.

"Mon ami, don't worry, it will be ok." I hear Laf say weekly.

"Lafayette, keep talking," Thomas says to him. "Let him know you are ok!"

Suddenly Laf starts singing a song called mon amour. I love that song.

Suddenly I hear running coming toward us, "what happened?!" I hear Aspen's familiar voice say.

Angie explains while I listen to Laf sing the song. Suddenly Aspen leans over the whole, "Oh god, he's bleeding we gotta get him out!" Just then the rest of our friends run in all of them out of breath.

"Don't try and get him out!" Eliza shouts, "we don't know what could have happened. He could have injury to the spine!"

"Ok then lower me in!" Aspen yells frantically.

"What?!" Alex exclaims

"Know way!" John says sternly, "I am not letting my little sister be lowered into a whole that could be unstable!"

"Not helping John!" Angie yells as I cry more, "where is that damn ambulance?!"

Everyone argues more and more before Thomas shushed them, "guys do you hear that?"

Everyone shakes their head.

"Exactically! Lafayette stopped singing!" Thomas said and it got hectic again. Everyone was yelling into the whole each time getting no response from Laf.

"That's it," Aspen says sternly. "John, Alex, and Peggy you guy go grab sheets and anything else we can use to make a rope. Angie, you get something I can wrap around him to stop any bleeding. Eliza, you go get a first aid kit and a teacher!"

"Aspen I'm-" John starts.

"Go. Now. John." She says.

Everyone goes and Thomas and her stay with me and tell me comforting things.

[B]Ten minutes later

Angie comes back with a pillow case and John, Alex, and Peggy come back with mounds of sheets and blankets. They tie the blankets together creating a long rope. Aspen grabs the pillow case and uses the rope to lower herself down to Laf.

Aspen's POV

I got down to Laf he is unconscious. I see a large piece of wood in his stomach, I wrap the pillow case above it.

"Is he ok?" I hear a low voice call. I look up and see Professor Washington.

"He's not doing to hot right now," I say wiping sweat from my brow.

"Ok the paramedics are hear," he says.

Suddenly, paramedics are coming down and getting Laf. I climb up after Laf is up. As I get up Herc engulfs me in a hug. I hug him back tightly, he sobs into my shoulder.

[B]After they get to the hospital

We got to the hospital and had to wait in the waiting room. Laf needed surgery. Thomas and Angie are still comforting Herc. Alex is on the verge of tears, as is Eliza.

John looks over at me, "How'd you do that?"

"I'm taking a class that teaches mountain climbing," I answer. "I wanna do search and rescue and photography."

John just nods.

About an hour later a doctor comes in, "are you all hear for Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier de La Fayette, Marquis de Lafayette?" Woah. We all nod. Just as the doctor is about to explain Burr and Theo burst through the door.

"Why weren't we called?!" Burr asks.

He gets shushed by all the people in the room.

"As I was saying," the doctor continued. "Lafayette has multiple internal injuries, luckily the surgery went very well and you may all go and see him."

We all walk to Lafayette's room, Herc looks so scared. I put my hand on his shoulder, "he'll be ok." He nods and puts his and over mine.

We walk into Laf's room and he looks horrible. Both legs have a cast on them and he has bruises up and down his neck. Herc takes the seat next to him. We stay there for a long time. Eventually visiting hours are over but Herc stays. We all go back to the dorms.

Alex's POV

We walk into the dorm and I close the door behind me. Suddenly, I can't hold it back anymore. I slide myself down the door and cry.

"Alex!" John run over to me and wraps me in a tight hug.

I just keep crying.

"I know, I know," he says, "I'm worried too."

"H-how are y-you not s-sobbing, too?" I ask him a pained smile crosses his face.

"I've run out of tears to cry..." He says.

We sit there until we both fall asleep.

Laf's POV

I wake up in a hospital bed. My god the pain is bad, you would think they would give me pain medication or something. Geez. I look next to me and see a sleeping Hercules with his head rested on the bed next to me.

I lean forward, or, try too. As I try I am wracked with pain. I remember when I fell that as I went down a large piece of wood was stuck in my stomach area. I also remember hearing Herc cry, it broke my heart. I gentally stroke his head and snuggles close. I'm so glad I got him out of the way in time.
