Alex's POV

John bursts through the door of the dorm absolutely fuming. He has only been back a few days and already he is pissed.

He flops down on the bed next to me, "what's wrong?" I ask.

"Reynolds is an ass," he says.

"I am aware of this information," I say.

He sits up, "he had to pick and argument with me, if Washington hadn't stepped in it would have turned into a fight."

Flashback

"Your little boyfriend isn't hear to protect you!" Says Reynolds getting in my face.

"Listen Reynolds I don't want to start a fight," I say.

"Maybe I do, faggot," he says before he punches me.

Flashback over

I shudder at the memory of while John was gone. That wasn't the only fight between Reynolds and I.

His face softens, "are you ok, Alex?"

"Yeah I'm fine," I say. "Just was really hard without you hear."

He puts his hand on my shoulder, "what happened while I was gone."

"Um, I got in a couple of fights," I say and he looks worried.

"Why didn't you tell me about that?!" He asks, "how bad were they?"

"One got really bad," I say and tell him the whole story.

Flashback

I was walking out of class when Lee walks up to me.

"What do you want?" I ask.

"Just wondering how you are now that the other fag is gone." He smirks.

"Don't you dare talk about him like that," I growl.

"What are you gonna do about it?" He says, "your just an orphan no one wants. Not even John, probably why he left."

I punch him in the face, "Don't assume things if you don't know the whole story." I say.

"Oh now your gonna get it you little prick." He says before he beats me up.

Flashback over

"I ended up in the hospital with two broken ribs and a moderate concussion." My voice crack.

"Oh my god," he whispers.

"I was so scared, John." I break down into tears and he pulls me into a hug. We sit there for a long time, last thing I remember is him gentally stroking my hair.
