Baekhyun and Chanyeol arrived shortly after the Byun's and meet them just inside the doors of the restaurant, waiting for their arrival.

Baekhyun beamed when he saw his parents and didn't waste a single second to wrap them both in a tight hug. He was so happy to see them, and when they parted, he held their hands as he excitedly said,  "Oh my gosh! We have so much to tell you!"

Mrs. Byun chuckled and gently touched her son's cheek as she leaned in to kiss his forehead. Mr. Byun smiled and patted his shoulder as he asked, "Chanyeol? How much sugar has Baekhyun consumed today? I'm just curious." He chuckled.

Baekhyun gasped and lightly smacked his dad's arm as he cried, "Hey! Well then, excuse me for being excited."

Mrs. Byun shook her head and smacked the back of her husband's head as she retorted, "Honestly? He's excited. Don't you remember how that feels?" She scoffed and rolled her eyes as she reached out to entwine her arm with Baekhyun, both of them walking away to get their table.

Chanyeol sighed and stuffed his hands in his pockets as he said, "Hey, Mr. Byun." And then he awkwardly stuck his hand out, and they shook hands.

Chanyeol furrowed his brow, and Mr. Byun cleared his throat before saying, "So Chanyeol, I trust you had a good honeymoon?"

Chanyeol nodded with a small smile and replied, "Yes, we had an amazing time on our honeymoon. But I can't tell you about it because if Baekhyun finds out, he'll throw me on the couch for a week." Chanyeol chuckled.

Mr. Byun chuckled too and replied, "Well then, I suggest we hurry up." Chanyeol smiled and nodded his agreement.

Their lunch moved by smoothly after that as Chanyeol and Baekhyun told stories about their trip while the Byun's listened happily.

"So why did you throw Baekhyun into the pool again?" Mrs. Byun asked with a small smile.

Chanyeol laughed and said, "Ooh, that! Well Mrs. Byun, Baekhyun was being unnecessarily mean to me. And frankly, he started it first."

Baekhyun pursed his lips and pinched Chanyeol's upper thigh beneath the table; Chanyeol's leg jerked up in reaction. Baekhyun shot him a smug look before saying, "Actually! I did not start that battle. You did!" Baekhyun said as he poked Chanyeol's chest for emphasis. "It was your fault because you thought it would be fun to tease me! Flaunting your stupidly perfect body by the side of the pool...." Baekhyun grumbled.

Chanyeol laughed and the Byun's nervously chuckled.

Chanyeol leaned in close to Baekhyun's ear and singsonged, "You think my bodies perfect!"

Baekhyun scoffed and grumbled, "Shut up, you tree! You heard no such thing!"

Chanyeol just grinned and looped his arms around Baekhyun's shoulders as he leaned in close to kiss his cheek. Baekhyun blushed and stammered as he shyly glanced at his parents.

They smiled shyly as well as Mrs. Byun bravely asked, "So, do you have any other stories you'd like to share?"

Baekhyun shook his head and muttered, "No, but we do have something to tell you."

His parent's brows furrowed curiously as Baekhyun glanced at Chanyeol, telling him with his eyes to share their exciting news. Chanyeol nodded with a small smile and clasped Baekhyun's hand in his as he said, "Mr. and Mrs. Byun, Baekhyun and I have decided to . . . adopt. And we were wishing to have your full support."
