Forever Us
The dark night has taken over the brightness of day, the warmth of sun is replaced by the sizzling wind of the rainy night. The Rainy night, in which people mostly like to hide themselves in their duvet and have a cup of hot tea or coffee with fries, Isn't it what we all like on such a day.
Well, Neel Dikshit, a well known business person too holds one such not exactly but likely desire. He's forty-four, his heart is still at twenty-four. All he wants at the moment is to have some - oh sorry, not some but the night is filled with passionate love. But his wife, Avani Dixit, an ex - advocate, is so unromantic, she just wants to sleep and nothing else. Because she thinks they're too old to do such things, they should maintain some control.
And obviously, he's not going to let it happen, he'll convince her.
He snuggled to her, plastering herself on her back, his hand swiftly running down her waist and finding its way under her tee. She immediately holds his hand before it reaches its destination.
''Ye kya harkat hai Neel?? Meine kaha na mujhe nind aa rahi hai, why don't you understand?" She scolded him while removing his hand from her tee, eyes still closed.
He pulls away his hand from her hand and grips around her, hiding his face in the crook of her neck.
''Don't lie!! Aadhe ghante pehle hi tum sone aai thi par abhi tak jaag rahi ho, saaf jahir hai tumhe nind nahi aa rahi bas mujhe bhagane ka tareeka hai ye, sab samajhta hoon main!!" He states, planting a peck on her neck.
Avani immediately holds the pillow, she doesn't want to moan and encourage him but his hot breath is weakening her spine. She doesn't understand, who has such an active mood and hormones at this age? The answer is, her dear husband!!
She came out of her trance with his active smooches on her neck and shoulder while his hand began to make designs on the line of her pajama. She holds his hand again.
''I'm not in the mood!!" She exclaims to woo him off, he swiftly turns her to face him.
''Really!!!" He furrowed his brows while removing her hand from the pillow, indicating her how off mood she is!
''Yesh!!" She exclaims firmly.
'Ava please yaar, mood ki band mat bajao!! Itna acha mausam hai, let's have some moment.'' He said convincingly, his face snuggling closer to her.
''Neel, please no!!" She requested while his lips found its way to her jaws, his hand under her tee, exploring her curves.
''Noo!!!" She insisted, trying to push him to which he pin her hand under her head. He's not going to destroy his mood and the night at any cost.
''Yeshh!!" He exclaims, grinning at her and in a swift move his hand pool under her pajama, she groans pulling her legs together while he forcefully pushes his hand between her legs, moving it sensually on her thigh, moving up at its destination.
''Okayy, fine, stop!! Neel, stop please!! Neel!!! Stop, stop!!!" She screams to stop him as his finger rubs on her lower lips, giving her goosebumps.
He gazed at her, she was breathing heavily.
''Not without protection!” She told him strictly.
''Arey yaar, what is the need?" He makes faces, she's his wife, they have been together for the past 25 years, why is this shot needed then?
''It is needed!!!" She exclaims in a firm tone to which he pouted but rolls towards the drawer to get that tiny packet in which his romantic life is confined from the past 20 years. But to his surprise there wasn't any of it, he sighs and turns to her.
''Kya hua?" She asks, finding him empty handed.
''We don’t have them!" He informed her but snuggled, wanting to continue his night even without it.
She placed her hand on his chest,''Why are you always in such a mood? Yahan beta jawan hone ko aaya aur ek taraf tum ho, grow up!!" She scoffs at him, indirectly telling him they have a son who will be 22 this year which means they are old enough to drop such pleasurable things.
Neel rolls his eyes,''beta jawan ho raha hai iss se mera status nahi change hota. Wo 22 ka hone wala hai it doesn't mean hum apni life jeena bhool jaaye. Kissi book mei nahi likha ki parents are forbidden to have sex if their kids turn 22!!! Don't link up things!" He ululated, his mood now ruined by her statement.
''Not everything is written in a book, Neel!! Kuch chij time ke saath zindagi humei khud sikha deti hai!!" She forwarded her point.
''Please keep your so-called philosophical gyan to yourself. Time ke saath tumne ek hi chij seekhi hai, mujh pe atyachar karna. Ana please, let it be na, ek din se kya fark pad jaayega aur padd bhi gaya toh i'll handle, iss mausam ka faida uthane do na please, please jaan, please!!" He begged, cooing on her neck.
Avani creates distance between them, moving back.
''Neel you know I can't take the risk!!" She expressed her concern.
''Arey, risk kaisa?? Mujhe koi issue nahi hai bhai!! Na STD hai, na hi koi transmittable disease hai mujhe, I'm totally fit!" He states sarcastically.
Avani rolls her eyes,''Neel!!" She takes his name.
He let out a deep sigh, the night is totally ruined.
''Fine!! So jao!! Mujhe samajh nahi aata main kuch aisa expect hi kyun karta hoon tumse aur..aur jaane tum itni faltu philosophy kahan se laa ke ghoom rahi ho!!" He yelled and turned to the other side, Avani was taken back at his sudden outburst, she called him but he refused to even look at her.
Avani thought to call him again, meanwhile he heard Aaryan calling for her from outside, he seemed to be worried.
''Lo, aa gaya tumhara ladla. God knows is bande ko raat ko kya kaam hai jo bhatkta rehta hai. Ye nahi girlfriend banaye Uske saath ghoome, bas mera mood bigadne ko paida hua hai ye banda, 22 saal se tabahi macha di hai meri life mein!!!" He scoffs, Avani sighs and moves to open the door.
''Mumma kitni der!!'' He makes a face while stepping inside, holding a pillow in his arm.
''Kya hua Aaryan?'' She asks her son who makes a face.
''Mujhe nind nahi aa rahi!! Ek toh ye barish ki awaz, ewww!! Main yahan so jau please!!" He requested his mother.
Neel, who was pretending to be asleep, opened his eyes instantly.
''Haan beta kyun nahi!? Ye itna bada bed hai, ispe hum dono kung fu thodi khelenge, tu aa ke aab iss bich mein so ja yahi toh hum chahte hai. Aaja beta, aa so jaa yahan!!" He stated in a sarcastic tone, gritting his teeth in anger.
Aaryan couldn't get the sarcasm in his father's tone and laid down beside him, throwing his arm around his father.
''Good Night Dad!!" He greeted him warmly. Neel sigh at his act but patted his back, why to trouble the boy when he's being troubled by his wife? Avani you laid down on her side and closed her eyes with the determination to converse with her husband tomorrow morning.
...
Next Morning...
Avani prepared his morning coffee, she knew she shouldn't have behaved that way last night but she doesn't want to take risks with particularly this matter and her husband only wants that. She had to speak out. But now, he's angry and she needs to convince him, to make him understand her situation and she's sure enough, he'll understand her point.
With that positive mindset, she entered her room only to find him getting ready for office, choosing a waistcoat for himself that would match his suit. She moves forward and chooses one for him and helps him wear it. Without any resistance he slips his arms in it While she moves before him and begins to button it.
'’Neel, I'm sorry about last night, please don't be upset!'' She apologizes while he stays silent because he doesn't want to converse about it.
'’Neel, please aise chup maat raho. I know tum naraaz ho par tum jaante ho main Koi risk nahi lena chahti!!" She states meaningfully.
''Nahi!! Main kuch nahi jaanta!! Mujhe nahi samajh aata tum kis risk ki baat kar rahi ho ya karti rehti ho!! Pehle samajh bhi aa raha tha, Aaryan chhota tha tumhe apna attention shift nahi karna tha, okay!! Wo tab ki baat thi, aab wo 22 ka hai, still tumhe yahi lagta hai tumhe uspe jyada dhyan dena chahiye, like why?? Meine aab tak tumhari saari baatein maani, tum dusra baby nahi karna chahti thi kyunki tumhe laga Aaryan ke liye tumhara pyar bant jaayega, meine maan liya. Fir tumne humare bich line khich di ki risk hai, we must maintain distance, wo bhi mana. Aan tumhe risk ke saath, age ki alag chinta hai. Mujhe toh samajh nahi aa raha ye kaun hai jo couples ke liye age decide kar raha hai, kaun hai jo humein ye batayega kis age tak we can get intimate with our partner? Ye kaun hai jo sab bata raha hai? Jo bhi hai, I don't agree with that. Main marte dam tak apni biwi se pyar karunga and I can get intimate at any age, it's my choice!!!" He remarked on his point, gazing at her sharply.
''Neel tum meri baat kyun nahi samajh rahe ho? Tumne dekha na Avasti ji ke saath kya hua? Unki 15 saal ki beti is not talking to them jab se unka wo second baby hua. Neel main apne pleasure ke liye apne bete se muh nahi mod sakti, I can't be that selfish. Maine tumse Pehle bhi kaha hai, main apne bete ka pyar kissi aur se nahi bant sakti, please try to understand!” She expresses her concern.
''Oh Please!! Avasti ke saath jo hua 'wo jaruri nahi sabke saath ho. Aur ismei muh modne jaisa kya hai? For god sake, we're husband and wife, pura haq hai humein intimate hone ka, ismei Aaryan ka pyar Kaise bant raha hai wo tum hi jaano. I really don't understand tumhe aisa kyun lagta hai ek aur bache se pehle bache ka pyar bant jaayega? Aur agar aisa hai na toh apne bete ke liye tumne 22 saal pehle mera pyar bant diya. Main kehna nahi chahta par 22 saal se main tum mei apni biwi dhundhne ki koshish kar raha hoon par mujhe 'sirf Aaryan ki maa dikhti hai, jismei meri biwi kho si gayi hai!!!" He yelled, losing his temper.
''Dono ek hi toh hai Neel! Aaryan ki maa aur tumhari wife, dono ek hi toh hai!!!" She says convincingly holding his hand, he jerks away her hand.
''Nahi!!! Dono ek kaise hai? Aaryan ki maa aaj tak sirf yahi sochte aai hai ki kahin uske kissi bhi kadam se uske bete ko thes na pahuche, kahin wo bura na maan jaaye aur iske liye tumne har baar mere pyar ko thukraya hai. 22 saal!! Mujhe yaad tak nahi inn 22 saal mei kab humne sirf ek dusre ke liye ya ek dusre ka socha ho, arey tum toh mere bagal mei sone tak se darti ho baaki tum kya hi karogi!!!'' He raged, he didn't want to say that but his anger was out of control, he couldn't hold on.
''Aisa nahi hai Neel!!" She defended herself.
''Aisa hi hai Ava!! Aur main thak chuka hoon aab, aur bardasht nahi hoga mujh se sab so please, tumhe dur rehna hai na toh dur hi raho, main ek carpenter ko bulwa ke ye bed bhi alag kar dunga fir sona shanti se akele!” he yelled at her and moved out without having his coffee, while she's left thoughtful.
Later at the dining table, he was all silent and having his meal not even bothering to look up until Aaryan nudged him and he was forced to look up at him.
“Dad!! Mere friends sab saath mei lonavala jaa rahe hai, two day trip ke liye. Main bhi jaun please!” He requested and he had no reason to deny.
Security, obviously he need to check that but the boy won't deny to take a bodyguard with him, he knows business rivalries are hype up so taking a risk won't be a good idea but then, there is his mother who will surely not agree because she seems him as a two year child, so it make sense, a two year old can't go around by himself.
“Okayy!! If you want to go, you can! Take Arvind with you. Baki, you know you need to ask your mother about it!” He reminded him to which he made a face but nodded at his father, he quickly finished his meal and rushed to the kitchen, where Avani was preparing a light snack. He leaned on the counter with a hopeful smile.
"Mumma, Dad said I can go on the Lonavala trip with my friends if you give me permission. Please, please say yes!" He pleaded, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
Avani, though a bit lost in her earlier thoughts, smiled warmly at her son. She knew how much this trip meant to him, and seeing him so happy made her heart soften.
“Lonavala?” she asked, raising an eyebrow while stirring the tea on the stove. “It’s a good two-day trip, hmm?”
“Yes, Mumma! And it’ll be so much fun! Please let me go. I’ll take Arvind with me for security, promise!” Aaryan added quickly, trying to convince her.
Avani paused, wiping her hands on a towel as she thought for a moment. She glanced at Aaryan, who was staring back at her with wide, eager eyes, his expression reminding her of when he was younger, always seeking her approval for every little thing.
With a sigh, she finally nodded. “Okay, you can go.”
Aaryan’s face lit up instantly, and before she could say more, he threw his arms around her in a tight hug. “Thank you, Mumma! You’re the best!” he exclaimed, nearly jumping with excitement.
“But,” she interrupted softly, gently pulling away from his embrace, “you have to listen to everything Arvind says. No wandering off on your own, and call me if anything happens. Understood?”
“I will! I promise! Thank you again, Mumma!” Aaryan said, grinning from ear to ear.
As Aaryan bounded out of the kitchen to prepare for his trip, Avani leaned back against the counter, her smile fading slightly as her thoughts drifted back to her conversation with Neel earlier that morning. She knew she had to fix things between them, but she wasn’t sure how. The concerns she held as a mother often clashed with her role as a wife, and it was beginning to take its toll on their relationship.
Still, she couldn’t let her son’s joy be overshadowed by her personal worries. She’d handle Neel later, once things cooled down. For now, she decided to focus on Aaryan’s happiness.
Moments later, Neel walked into the kitchen, carrying his briefcase, ready to leave for the office. He glanced at her, but the air between them remained tense. Avani could sense the lingering frustration in his expression.
“Aaryan is going on that trip,” Avani informed him softly, trying to open a conversation.
Neel just nodded, not meeting her gaze, and muttered, “Good, koi toh khush rahe,”
She wanted to say more, to explain herself, but the words didn’t come out. Neel had already turned and was walking toward the door, his silence weighing heavily on her.
As the door closed behind him, Avani sighed, running a hand through her hair. She hoped that with time, Neel would understand why she was so cautious. But as things stood, they had a lot to work through—and the sooner, the better.
… . … .
Receiving his mother’s permission and happily running off to pack, Avani stood by the door, watching her son with a mixture of pride and melancholy. She realized how fast time had flown by. It felt like just yesterday she was cradling him in her arms, worrying about every little thing in his life. But now, her once little boy was a young man ready to explore the world on his own.
Once Aaryan left for his trip, the house fell eerily silent. The quietness allowed her thoughts to resurface—the memories of last night's argument with Neel, his angry outbursts, and his heartfelt confession that had shaken her to the core. For so long, she had been focusing solely on being a mother, pouring all her energy into ensuring Aaryan was well cared for. But in doing so, she had inadvertently neglected her role as Neel’s wife.
Avani sat down on the edge of their bed, the same bed they had shared for years yet had grown so distant in. Her mind raced back to the early days of their marriage, filled with laughter, love, and passion. She remembered how Neel would look at her, not just as the mother of his child but as his partner, his equal, his love. Somewhere along the way, she had let that part of herself slip away, consumed by her responsibilities as a mother.
Her heart ached as she replayed his words in her mind: "Mujhe yaad tak nahi inn 22 saal mei kab humne sirf ek dusre ke liye ya ek dusre ka socha ho... Tum mei sirf Aaryan ki maa dikhti hai, jismei meri biwi kho si gayi hai!"
Tears welled up in her eyes as she realized the depth of his loneliness. He had been patient, loving, and understanding all these years, and she had not been there for him, not emotionally, not physically. She had hidden behind her duties as a mother, fearing the risks, fearing the changes, while Neel had been yearning for the intimacy they once had. It wasn’t just about the physical aspect—it was about the connection, the closeness they had lost.
Avani wiped her tears, standing up with new resolve. She had spent years building a wall between them, always pushing him away, thinking it was the right thing to do. But today, she realized how wrong she had been. Neel was not just the father of her child; he was her husband, her partner, the man she had fallen in love with. And she had neglected him for too long.
She knew Neel would return home in a few hours, and when he did, she would be ready. Ready to make up for all the lost time, ready to show him that she hadn’t forgotten the woman she used to be—the woman who loved him with all her heart.
Avani looked around the room and decided she would make tonight special. She planned everything in her mind, determined to rekindle the romance that had been missing. She wanted to make him feel loved, wanted, and cherished once more. It was time to stop being afraid of risks and start living in the present, where they could embrace each other fully, as husband and wife.
She changed into the elegant sari Neel had always liked, lit soft-scented candles around the room, and prepared a light dinner for when he returned. Tonight, she would apologize, not just in words but in the way she held him close, letting him know that she was still there, still his, and that she would never let him feel alone again.
As the time began to pass, Avani sat by the window, waiting for Neel. The storm inside her heart had cleared, leaving behind clarity and a deep desire to restore what was broken. When Neel walked through that door tonight, she would be ready to give him everything she had once taken for granted.
… … ..
When Neel walked through the door, the weight of the day still clung to his shoulders. His mind was clouded with disappointment, and the echoes of last night’s argument replayed in his head. He had spent the entire day trying to distract himself, but nothing seemed to work. He loved Avani deeply, but the years of growing distance between them had worn him down. He was tired of feeling like a stranger in his own home, like they were just two people coexisting for the sake of their son.
As he stepped into the house, the dim lighting and soft scent of jasmine hit him immediately, surprising him. He furrowed his brow, noticing the candles flickering gently around the living room. Something felt different, but he couldn’t quite place what it was. The house had a warmth tonight that had been missing for so long.
And then, he saw her.
Avani stood by the window, bathed in the soft glow of candlelight, wearing the deep red sari he loved so much. The one he hadn’t seen her wear in years. His heart skipped a beat, confusion washing over him. His first thought was to ask her why, but the words stuck in his throat. He stood frozen, trying to make sense of what he was seeing. This wasn’t the Avani he had grown used to over the past few years—the distant, distracted woman who was always busy with Aaryan or work.
She turned towards him, her eyes meeting his with an intensity that made his breath hitch. There was something different in her gaze, a softness he hadn’t seen in a long time. For a moment, Neel wasn’t sure how to react. Was this an apology? Was she trying to make up for last night? Or was there something more?
Neel…” her voice was tender, and before he could ask anything, she walked towards him, closing the space between them.
His confusion melted away as soon as she reached out and took his hand. The way her fingers gently entwined with his—it felt like a long-lost connection being reestablished. He hadn’t even realized how much he missed her touch until now.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered, her eyes glistening with sincerity. “I’ve let us drift apart, and I’ve been so focused on everything else that I forgot about us—forgot about you.”
Neel blinked, his heart softening despite the lingering disappointment. He had never expected her to admit it, to see how distant she had become. But hearing her say those words, seeing her standing there, making an effort—it broke down the wall he had built up in his heart.
I’ve missed you,” she continued, her voice trembling slightly. “I’ve missed being your wife, Neel. And I know I can’t take back the years we’ve lost, but I want to try. I want to be here for you, for us.”
Neel’s chest tightened, emotions swirling inside him. He had wanted this, but he had stopped hoping it would ever come. Slowly, he reached out and cupped her face, brushing his thumb along her cheek.
“You don’t know how long I’ve waited to hear that,” he said quietly, his voice thick with emotion. “I missed you too, Avani. More than you know.”
For a moment, they stood there, simply holding each other’s gaze, the years of tension and distance slowly dissolving. Neel could feel the sincerity in her words, and it warmed him from the inside. The disappointment he had carried when he walked in was gone, replaced by a glimmer of hope.
Avani stepped closer, resting her head against his chest, and Neel wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in tightly. It felt like coming home after being lost for so long. The silence between them wasn’t awkward or heavy anymore—it was comforting, like they had finally found their way back to each other.
Avani lifted her head slightly, looking up at him. “Tonight, it’s just about us,” she whispered. “No distractions, no worries—just you and me.”
Neel’s heart swelled with affection as he looked down at her. For the first time in years, he felt like they were truly together again. He bent down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead, and then another to her lips—slow, tender, and filled with all the love he had been holding onto.
The storm that had been brewing between them for years had finally cleared, and as they stood there, wrapped in each other’s embrace, Neel knew that this was the start of something new.
… ..
As Neel’s lips lingered on hers, the tenderness between them began to shift. There was a spark, a flicker of something raw and unrestrained, and it was as if all the years of pent-up emotion had ignited at once. Avani tightened her grip on his shirt, pulling him closer with an urgency he hadn’t felt in years.
Neel responded in kind, his kisses becoming deeper, more intense. The weight of their shared past melted away, replaced by a fiery passion neither of them had expected. It was as if they were transported back in time—young, wild, and unburdened by the responsibilities of life. He pressed her against the wall, his hands roaming her body, rediscovering every curve, every inch he had missed.
Avani gasped as his touch sent shivers down her spine, her body reacting instinctively to the familiarity of his embrace. She tugged at his shirt, pulling it over his head, her fingers running over his bare chest with an eagerness she hadn’t felt in what seemed like forever. Their breaths came in short, heated bursts, and soon they were tangled in each other, their bodies moving in sync, like they had done so many times before.
But tonight was different.
Tonight wasn’t about routine or obligation. It was just about love and oy love.
Neel’s hands moved with purpose, sliding down her waist and gripping her firmly as he pulled her closer, their bodies flush against each other. Avani's breath hitched as his lips trailed from her neck to her collarbone, every kiss igniting a fire in her she hadn’t felt in years. His touch was urgent, possessive, as though he was rediscovering her all over again.
Avani let out a soft moan, her hands slipping under his waistband, feeling the warmth of his skin. The sensation sent a shockwave through her body, making her pulse quicken. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he hoisted her up, carrying her toward the bed in a swift motion.
Neel lay her down, his eyes dark with desire as he took in the sight of her in his favorite saree, now barely holding on to her body. With a swift movement, he tugged at the pallu, letting the fabric slip off her shoulders, revealing her to him fully. The sight made his breath catch, and he wasted no time, leaning down to kiss her deeply, his hands exploring every inch of her exposed skin.
Avani’s fingers tangled in his hair as she arched her back, pressing herself against him. The years of restraint seemed to vanish, replaced by a wild, uncontainable hunger. Neel's hands roamed her body, his touch rough and needy, as he trailed kisses down her chest, making her gasp with pleasure.
She tugged at his pants, pulling them off, eager to feel all of him. Neel groaned as their bodies finally met, skin on skin, the intensity of their connection almost overwhelming. He moved against her, his lips finding hers once again, their kisses growing more desperate, more consuming with every passing second.
Avani’s body responded instinctively, her hands gripping his back, nails digging into his skin as she wrapped her legs around him tighter. Their movements became frenzied, urgent, as though they were trying to make up for all the lost time, all the years they had held back.
Neel’s pace quickened, and with each thrust, Avani's soft moans turned into cries of pleasure, the room filled with the sound of their bodies colliding. It was primal, raw, and passionate, like two teenagers lost in the heat of the moment, unconcerned with the world around them.
They moved together in perfect harmony, their bodies in sync, feeding off each other's energy as the intensity built. Neel's grip on her waist tightened as he buried his face in the crook of her neck, his breathing ragged as they both reached the peak of their desire.
And then, with one final movement, they both tumbled over the edge together, their bodies trembling as they gave in to the powerful release. Neel collapsed on top of her, both of them breathless, their hearts racing as they held each other close.
The room was quiet now, save for the sound of their heavy breathing. Avani gently ran her fingers through Neel’s hair, both of them still coming down from the high of their passion. Neel, still catching his breath, looked down at her, a soft smile tugging at his lips.
"Maybe we’re not too old after all,” he whispered, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
Avani laughed softly, her heart full as she pulled him in for another kiss, this one slow and tender.
“Not even close,” she whispered back, her eyes expressing her deep desires that she still holds.
… … …
As they lay together, breath still heavy from their passionate reunion, Avani felt a surge of energy ripple through her. She smiled at Neel, her fingers tracing soft patterns across his chest, feeling the familiar rise and fall of his breath. But tonight, she wasn't done yet. Not after realizing how much time had slipped by without them truly connecting.
Slowly, she pushed him onto his back, straddling him with newfound confidence. Neel’s eyes widened, a mixture of surprise and intrigue crossing his face as he looked up at her. Avani smirked, leaning down to kiss him deeply, her hips already beginning to tease against his, setting a tantalizing rhythm.
“I’m not letting you off that easy,” she whispered against his lips, her voice husky, filled with playful determination.
Neel groaned softly, his hands instinctively moving to grip her hips, but Avani quickly caught his wrists, pinning them above his head. “Tonight, I’m in charge,” she said firmly, her gaze locking with his.
Her movements were slow at first, deliberate, as she ground her hips against him, feeling his body respond beneath her. She could sense the growing tension in Neel, his muscles tensing as he tried to hold back. But Avani had no intention of letting him remain in control. She rocked her hips faster, her hands roaming over his chest and abs, her touch sending jolts of pleasure through his body.
Neel's breath hitched, and he tried to regain some control, but Avani was relentless. She leaned down, her lips brushing against his ear as she whispered, “Just relax, let me take care of you.”
Her words sent a shiver down his spine, and he groaned again, his body surrendering to her. Avani smiled at the power she held over him, the way he was completely at her mercy. She shifted her pace, teasing him with slow, sensual movements, watching as his eyes fluttered shut, his head pressing back into the pillow in bliss.
Avani leaned forward, trailing kisses along his jawline, down his neck, and across his chest, her fingers dancing over his skin, making him tremble beneath her. Every kiss, every touch was intentional, designed to drive him wild. She relished in the way his breathing grew ragged, the soft moans that escaped his lips as she continued to take control of their pleasure.
“Avani…” Neel murmured, his voice barely a whisper, full of need, but she only smiled against his skin.
She quickened her movements again, this time more intense, her body moving in perfect rhythm with his. Neel's hands flexed, desperate to touch her, but she held him in place, keeping him on the edge, drawing out his pleasure until he couldn’t take it anymore.
With one final push, Avani let him go, and Neel cried out, his body shuddering beneath hers as the overwhelming pleasure crashed over him. She watched him, reveling in the sight of him completely undone, knowing she had been the one to bring him to this moment.
Breathless, Avani finally released his wrists and collapsed onto his chest, both of them trembling in the aftermath of their wild, untamed passion. Neel wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close, his lips brushing against her forehead.
“I don’t know what got into you tonight, but… I’m not complaining,” he said with a grin, still catching his breath.
Avani smiled softly, nuzzling into him. “I just realized it’s time I make up for lost time,” she whispered, her fingers tracing lazy circles on his chest.
Neel kissed the top of her head, his heart swelling with love for her. “We’ve got plenty of time,” he murmured, pulling her even closer.
But tonight, Avani had made a promise to herself—and to him—that she would never let them drift apart again.
… … .
As they lay entwined in each other's arms, the air still heavy with the remnants of their passion, Avani propped herself up on her elbow to look at Neel, a playful glint in her eyes.
“Who knew you could be so easy to please?” she teased, a smirk dancing on her lips.
Neel raised an eyebrow, pretending to be offended. “Easy to please? I prefer the term… ‘adaptable.’” He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. “Besides, it takes a lot of skill to handle someone like me.”
“Oh really?” Avani replied, rolling her eyes dramatically. “Skill? I thought I was just doing all the work while you laid there like a… a… sleepy cat!”
Neel feigned shock, placing a hand on his chest. “A sleepy cat? I’ll have you know I was merely conserving my energy for the grand finale!”
She laughed, a light sound that filled the room with warmth. “Grand finale, huh? I’ll remember that for next time. Maybe I should charge you extra for the effort I put in tonight.”
“Extra? Now you’re talking business,” he replied with a grin. “Maybe I should negotiate some better terms. What’s my payment going to be?”
Avani leaned closer, her voice low and teasing. “How about a lifetime of being my devoted husband? No extra charge for that one.”
Neel chuckled, his eyes sparkling. “That’s a deal I can get behind. But I might need some… incentives to stay motivated.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve got plenty of incentives up my sleeve,” she replied coyly, her fingers trailing down his chest. “Consider this just the beginning.”
Neel’s gaze turned serious for a moment as he took in her playful demeanor. “You really have no idea how much I’ve missed this side of you, do you?”
Avani’s teasing smile softened into something more genuine. “I guess I didn’t realize how important it was to be present—emotionally and physically. But tonight… tonight felt like us again.”
“Exactly,” Neel said, cupping her cheek in his hand. “And if it takes some playful teasing and a little extra persuasion to keep it going, then I’m all for it.”
Avani grinned, pulling away slightly to give him a mock-serious look. “Just remember, the next time you complain about my philosophical rants, I’ll remind you how well I can take charge when the mood strikes.”
“Philosophical rants? You mean your ‘life lessons’ that come out of nowhere?” Neel shot back, trying to suppress a laugh.
“Hey, those lessons are valuable!” Avani replied. “You’re just lucky I’m not charging you for them too.”
Neel laughed heartily, the tension of the previous day melting away. “Well, consider me a lifelong student then. But just remember, I might need some extra tutoring to keep up.”
Avani raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in her eyes. “Tutoring, huh? I’ll make sure to create a very… hands-on curriculum for you.”
“Now you’re speaking my language,” he said, pulling her closer again. “I’m ready for whatever lessons you have in store. Just promise to make them as fun as tonight.”
“Deal,” Avani said, grinning. “But you better be prepared for a lot of homework.”
“Bring it on,” Neel replied, his voice laced with playful determination. “I’ve always been good at studying my favorite subject.”
With that, they both burst into laughter, the teasing and banter flowing easily between them, reminding them both of the connection they had been missing for so long.
As they settled into a comfortable rhythm, Neel couldn’t resist a playful jab. “You know, now that Aaryan is off on his little adventure, it seems like you’ve finally remembered you’re not just a mother,” he teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Avani playfully rolled her eyes. “Oh, really? And what do you suggest I do when he’s around? Just abandon my responsibilities as a mother?”
Neel chuckled, leaning back against the pillows, a smirk on his lips. “Maybe I should start planning more of these trips for Aaryan. You know, just to remind you how much fun it can be to let loose. Who knows? If he’s away enough, we might just uncover more of this hidden side of you.”
Avani raised an eyebrow, trying to suppress a smile. “So, you’re saying I should just ship him off every weekend?”
“Exactly! I mean, think about it—weekend getaways for him mean weekend adventures for us,” he replied, winking. “It’s a win-win situation.”
She laughed, shaking her head in mock disapproval. “You’re terrible! As if I’d ever agree to that!”
“Come on! Just imagine it: you, me, no distractions… just endless nights filled with fun and passion,” Neel said, his voice dropping to a low, teasing,”Then I guess we’ll just have to find new ways to keep him busy,” Neel said, shrugging nonchalantly. “I’m sure he’d understand if we explained that it’s for his mother’s ‘well-being.’”
“‘For her well-being’? That sounds very convincing,” Avani laughed, shaking her head. “I can see the look on his face if I tried that. He’d definitely catch on to our little scheme.”
Neel grinned, leaning in closer. “Let’s be honest, Ava. He’s 22 and has his own life now. We can’t let our little bird keep us from flying free. And besides, every good parent deserves a little fun now and then, right?”
“True,” Avani conceded, her gaze softening as she considered his words. “Maybe we should both take some time to remember what it’s like to be us… not just parents,”she whispered.
Exactly!” Neel said, his eyes sparkling. “So, what do you say? Let’s make this a regular thing. More adventures for Aaryan, more ‘us’ time for us.”
Avani smirked, pretending to ponder the idea. “You know, you might just be onto something here.”
“Of course, I am. And if you need help convincing Aaryan to go away more often, I’m your man,” Neel said, winking again. “Just think of all the ‘homework’ we could get done while he’s gone.”
Avani laughed, her heart feeling lighter as she took in his teasing nature. “Alright, you win! But just remember, when he’s back, you’ll have to explain why you’re sending him away so often.”
“Leave that to me,” Neel said confidently, pulling her closer. “Just know that I plan to make every moment count while we have the chance.”
With that, they both fell into a comfortable silence, their hearts lighter and more connected than ever, ready to embrace whatever adventures awaited them—together.
