Chapter 2

Misaki

Leon and I has been so close lately. Of course I did not forget about Aichi, but having a close friend who you can see everyday is better rather than just hearing their voice.

I Sighed. Next Subject is Algebra.

AND I HATE ALGEBRA.

Dear Algebra,

Stop letting me find your X and don't ask me Y.

I laughed mentally. I sat on my chair and waited for our professor.

Somebody sat beside me but I didn't mind.

Soon the professor came and gave us seatwork then he started to compute on his paper.

Halfway through, my phone vibrated. Kourin was calling me.

"Sir."

"What?"

"May I go to the rest room?"
He nodded and I went. Then I answered.

"Kourin?"

"Misaki," I was shocked.

Leon

10 minutes later and Misaki is not here yet. I wonder why is she taking so long?

I texted her, but she does not reply. I tried calling her (while the professor is not looking) but it would always be rejected. Strange.

Did something happen to her?

I texted the professor.

Sir, Misaki is taking too long.

He glanced at me and replied.

Go after her.

I stood up from my chair and went out. Yes, I'm concerned about Misaki.

Then I heard someone crying.

Misaki.

I saw her outside the rest room, crying.

I walked to her. "Misaki?"

I hugged her and she hugged back. She was crying on my shoulder but I could care less.

"Leon..."

"Tell me what happened."

I held her shoulders and she faced me. I looked into her eyes.

"Tell me."

"H-He c-called." She replied, her voice shaky from crying.

"Who?"

"Y-You wo-woul-would not un-unders-stand." She said while hiccuping.

"Misaki, let me understand."

"M-My Ex. H-he used my b-best friend's p-phone to contact me."

"Explain later. Let's go to Chemestry." I said as the bell rang. I wiped her tears using my hankerchief and she stopped crying.

I put an arm on her shoulder and she did not try to remove it.

Students were staring at us but I could care less.

We went to the chemestry lab. I let her sit on her chair and I sat beside her.

"Okay, explain."

"My ex called me. He cheated on me and now he's trying to disturb my life. He was the reason why I transferred schools."

She explained. Misaki already stopped crying.

I took out my extra sim card (which I never use) and gave it to her. She looked at me with confusion.

"Change your sim card. So that your ex would never contact you again. But who is he?"

"K-Kai Toshiki." I was shocked. Toshiki?

"Leon?" She called me. I nodded in response.

"Why were you shocked?"

"He was my best friend in freshman and Sophomore years, I never knew that he would do that."

"Actually, me too. Wait, how did you know him? We were classmates since 1st year to senior years."

"No, we were neighbors."

"Until Now?"

"No,"
I replied. But I kinda lied since I know that he is still living in the subdivision, but I do not know where.

The professor came and we returned to our proper seats.

Misaki's different from the others. And that's why I like her.
