[10] Dusk Till Dawn

Song: Dusk Till Dawn by ZAYN

I really want to use this song my sister plays in the car all the time but I don't know what it's callledd. I could just ask her what it's called, but y'know, I'm not normal and asking for anything is not that simple, no matter who it is...I'm odd

Pretty. Odd. ;)

Y/n's POV

Staying up late every night, unable to sleep seemed to be the way things have been going for the few days we've been here. Laying on the dark red, leather couch with two blankets covering me, with Tyler in arms reach. Some nights I debated going out for a walk until I got tired, but I didn't want to risk it. Instead, I settled with staring at the ceiling, listening to the, rather loud, crickets outside. It was one in the morning, everyone was already in their rooms, most likely asleep.

Mark and I tried to avoid Seth as much as possible. It seemed as though he didn't want us to have a private conversation. Every time we were by ourselves, or simply talking to one another, Seth would pop in with the most random thing, and would not leave. It was quite annoying, and making it pretty tempting to punch him until his nose falls off.
(And knows dark magic with a name all wizards fear to speak...yes, I'm referencing to Voldemort, fight me)

The past few days were dull. Wake up at seven in the morning, scroll through the channels on TV until I found something I liked, go to bed. Some days, the guys would gather up in the basement and play a board game Seth had, which was always fun, but they usually preferred to do their own thing. I've become closer with each of the guys, especially Tyler. Every night before we decide to go to sleep, we have random talks about whatever. Usually he'd ask how I was doing and if I had anything I needed to talk to someone about, considering everything that's going on. Tyler was like a big brother that would stay up till dawn just to listen to me vent to him about everything thats going on, just to make sure I was okay. Mark was really cool, but he never really laughed as much as he did before we ran off that one night. He seemed to be more serious.

Movement from Tyler's side of the couch startled me, breaking my staring contest with the ceiling. I turned my head to the side and stared at the blank TV. Tyler stood up, running a hand through his messy hair, and quietly walked down the hallway. What I assumed to be the bathroom light turned on and a door clicked shut. Sighing, I sat up, knowing sleep wasn't going to continue ignoring me. I ran my hand through my hair multiple times before I thought it looked normal enough before standing up and heading into the kitchen. I filled up a glass cup of water and sipped on it silently while leaning against the counter.

The hallway Tyler went down lit up before a small click was heard and the light went away. It was back to the darkness, the house barely lit by a small night light by the kitchen door. Tyler passed the open door before his feet stopped. I could see him standing confusedly in front of the couch, seeing I was gone.

"Y/n?" Tyler whispered, turning around and slowly making his way to the kitchen door.

"In here." I whispered back.

He stepped inside with a nervous chuckle. "Did I wake you?" He asked, flipping on the lights, revealing his curly hair big brown eyes. He stood by my side, arms crossed as he stared at the wall opposite us.

"No, I've been up." I replied. "Can't sleep."

"Yeah," He sighed. "Same here."

"I thought you were asleep that whole time?" I raised a brow, turning my head to look at him. He shook his head. "Any specific reason?" I questioned, taking another drink of my water. He shook his head again.

"What about you? Any specific reason as to why you can't sleep?" He asked, placing his gaze on me, curiously. He's so much taller than me. He and Bob were the taller ones of this group. Both could easily come off as scary, but they're both really funny and sweet people.

"Nope," I shook my head. "I just can't seem to get any sleep these past few nights."

"Really?" He chuckled. "You get so mad at Seth each morning for waking you up so early, I would've thought you'd fallen asleep quickly."

"Thats what I thought. Then I began struggling to fall asleep." I sighed.

Tyler's hand found it's way on my back, rubbing it comfortingly. Just by that action, I felt like curling into a ball with five fluffy blankets and Tyler by my side to hug me close to him as I fell asleep to the sound of his heartbeat. Slowly, I leaned my head on his side with my eyes closed. He quietly chuckled to himself.

"You tired now?" He mumbled.

"More comfortable than tired." I grinned as I spoke, my eyes still shut.

We stood there in silence for a bit, enjoying the music the crickets outside created. It was quite peaceful and I loved every second of it. Tyler by my side, the relaxing circles he was rubbing on my back, the silence of the house. Well, the silence didn't last very long.

"What's going on here?" A deep, raspy voice asked, sounding as if they'd just waken up.

"Nothing much." Tyler shrugged.

I opened my eyes to see Mark standing in the doorway with adorably messy hair and a confused and disgusted face. I stood up strait, taking my head off from Tyler's side, and took a few steps to the kitchen table, placing my glass down as quietly as I could. I took a seat on the wooden bench, facing the two boys and leaning back against the table.

"I just came for food, I had no intentions on interrupting anything." Mark mumbled, opening a cabinet.

"You're fine, dude. You didn't interrupt anything." Tyler replied from the same spot he was in before, his arms crossed.

Mark pulled out a small bag of almonds, pouring some in his hand before throwing them in his mouth. "We need to get moving soon." Mark said once he'd swallowed the handful.

"It wouldn't hurt to stay a bit longer, would it?" Tyler asked.

Mark shrugged. "It's better to be safe than sorry."

"Do we have a specific destination we're heading for?" I asked, raising a brow slightly.

Mark shrugged once again. "Just trying to get as far away from LA as we can."

"Where are we now?"

"Fargo, North Dakota." He answered, pouring more almonds in the palms of his cupped hand.

"Thats pretty far. Don't you think that's enough for a while more?" I question.

"It's obvious you haven't done anything like this." Mark stated, as if I had asked a question with the most obvious answer.

I decided not to come back with a sarcastic answer like usual, and instead, simply rolled my eyes.

This guy.

NEVER MIND, I FOUND THE SONG! IT WAS GHOST TOWN BY KANYE WEST
