Chapter Twenty-Three
a/n: My sister is reading everything I type. Say hi!
there will be two chapter questions. The first is my sister's question with my answer, the second is my way better question with my answer. My question is at the end. You have to read this chapter to understand it xD
chapter question: favorite channel on tv?
mine is Disney Channel. CW is a close second with NBC trying to break through. I also like MTV and Syfy
"Seriously, what do you even do?"
"Uh... I put pictures up for people and help them around their houses with chores."
"So, you're a male maid," Sophie said, laughing.
"I don't clean their houses. Dex does that though," Keefe said, grinning at the last part. "So, if anyone is a maid, Dex is."
Sophie burst into laughter. "He's a maid?"
"Who's a maid?" Dex asked, walking into their house.
"You," Sophie said as Biana walked in behind him with a notebook.
His face turned red. "I am not a maid."
"You clean people's houses," Sophie said, smiling.
"You left a mint on Miss. Ackles pillow." Keefe pointed out.
Dex's eyes widened. "You said you wouldn't tell the girls that!"
Keefe wrapped an arm around Sophie's waist. "Sorry, she's my wife. I can't keep secrets from her."
Dex glared at him, but stayed silent. Biana walked up beside him and brushed a hand over his arm soothingly, trying not to laugh while doing so. "Don't worry, honey."
He looked at her and rolled his eyes when he saw she was two seconds away from rolling on the floor laughing. "I'm not a maid!" He shouted, making everyone laugh.
He pointed to Sophie. "You were my best friend!"
She laughed even harder. "You know I love you, Dex."
He then look at Biana who had a hand on the wall to help her stay upright. She was laughing the hardest. "And you! I'm marrying you in a few months and you're calling me a maid! You're marrying one!"
She stopped and her eyes widened. "Crap."
"Biana Vacker is marrying a maid!" Keefe shouted which sent him and Sophie into fits of more laughter.
"I hate you both," Dex said.
"Yeah, not cool guys," Biana said, glaring.
"I happen to be very cool. And Foster's even more cool," Keefe said, grinning at Sophie who was grinning at him.
"Who am I going to make gag sounds with now? You're the one I'm making them at!" Dex said, grinning. "You two are mush!"
"Hey, we're allowed to be mush. We've been together for almost three years," Sophie said.
"We've been together longer than you two," Biana said. "So, anyways, we came here to talk wedding plans with you. Now, bridesmaid dresses. Sophie, are you pregnant?"
Sophie shook her head. "No."
"Okay, so then what's your size? You're not allowed to get pregnant until after my wedding."
Sophie rolled her eyes. "We're still going to wait a few months."
"You've been married for so long though," Dex complained.
"Well, how about you and Biana go get married and have a baby." Sophie rolled her eyes. "Anyways, next question."
"Well, blue or red. I can't pick which color you look better in." Biana looked Sophie over.
"She looks better in red but she likes blue more. So I think it matters which dress she feels more comfortable in," Keefe said, taking a seat on their couch. Everybody looked at him with questioning looks. "What?" He frowned. "I've lived with her for a long time now. I have to pay attention to her now."
___
"No, that's wrong," Kambry said from her seat on the couch. "It needs to be more on the left."
"I don't know, Kambry," Maxon disagreed. "I think it looks good right there."
"Yeah, but-"
"But my arms are slowly dying. If you could make a decision before I have to have them taken from my body from Elwin, that would be great," Keefe cut in.
"Just leave it there," Kambry gave in with a sigh. He nodded and dropped the object. "Anything else before I go home?"
"Don't you have to check into the office before you go home?" Maxon questioned.
"Well, yeah. But that only takes a few minutes so leaving here is like basically going home."
"There's this small picture frame in the back that we found and. . . Actually, wait a second. I'll go grab it." Maxon left the room.
"So, I went to another team foster-Keefe meeting. They're calling us a coven," Kambry said with a slight laugh.
"Imagine if I went to one of these meetings," Keefe said, grinning. "Man, I feel like a celebrity right now."
"You might as well be a celebrity," Kambry joked.
"So, what picture is Maxon grabbing?" Keefe asked, smiling.
"I actually have no idea," she said, frowning. "I hope it's not near the team meetings paper. He'll see he notes I take during the meetings."
"You take notes?" Keefe's eyes widened.
"Well, yeah. I can go grab them and give them to you before you go."
He nodded and she moved to a different room just as Maxon came back into the room. "Where's she go?" He asked, handing Keefe a picture of Maxon and Kambry together.
"To go grab something for me. Where do you want this?"
___
"Keefe's face is one of a god," Keefe read, grinning to himself. "He deserves better than Sophie." His grin turned to a frown and he found himself holding back from tracking down the girl who said it, Leila, and telling her how much he didn't deserve Sophie.
"What are you reading?" Sophie asked, walking into the room.
He instantly shoved the papers under his pillow. "Nothing." She frowned and climbed onto the bed. She reached behind his head to grab the papers but he kept swatting her hands away shouting, "DON'T TOUCH MY HAIR, SOPHIE!"
She rolled her eyes and tried to reach behind him still. When she finally grabbed them, they started to wrestle until she finally just used her telekinesis to hold him back. Her eyes trailed down the paper and a frown graced her lips. "Who wrote this?" She asked, throwing the papers on the bed.
"This girl. She was recording what people were saying at a meeting for this club since she's the fastest writer there apparently."
"Club? They have a club dedicated to talking about how you're better than me and I don't deserve you?"
"No, gosh no. That's just what one person said. Here, uh. . . " He looked over the papers and pointed to one part on the fourth sheet. "See, this says you're too good for me."
"Why can't we just be equals?" She glared.
"Well, there's one paper in here that-"
"You know what? I don't care. I was actually going to say something."
"What?" He frowned.
"I got invited to this girl, Carli's, house. It's for some club called Team Foster-Keefe. Do you have something to do with this?" She raised an eyebrow.
"That's the club these notes are from. Who invited you?"
"Kambry. . . Uh, I forget her last name though. Do you know Kambry?"
"She's the one who took these notes!" Keefe cheered. "That's the club."
"She invited me to a club dedicated to talking about me and you?"
"Actually, not just us. It's just that, that's the one ship they all agreed on."
"Ship. . . "
"Relationship. Get it?"
She nodded. "I want to go to this meeting. Check it out."
___
"Oh my gosh," a girl squealed, "You're Sophie Foster!"
Sophie smiled. "I actually go by Sophie Sencen now, but that's my maiden name." She raised an eyebrow. "What's your name?"
"Elise," she answered, her eyes wide with wonder. She turned her head. "And you. . . You're Keefe Sencen." She grinned. "By brain is having a heart attack right now."
"Brains can't have heart attacks," Sophie said with a smile.
"Then I don't know what my brain is doing but I really can't think properly right now," she replied. "I... You guys are my idols. Like. . . Is there something I can do for you?"
"Um, could you let us in?" Sophie asked, grinning. "We were invited to some meeting for a club and neither of us were busy so we thought, eh, why not?"
"Thinking. . . Right. That used to be a thing," the girl muttered, opening the door wider so they could step in.
"Keefe, hey," Kambry said, walking over. The two shared a small hug. Kambry turned to Sophie. "Hey," she said.
Sophie smiled. "Hi Kambry. Thanks for the invitation."
"Yeah," she said, smiling. She looked to Keefe. "I didn't think you'd actually come with her."
He grinned. "She forced me."
"Well, come on in. Carli's mom made snacks." She started to name all the different foods set out and Sophie tried to remember the names but couldn't. "Hey guys. I told you I invited these guys, righr?" Kambry called out to the group of people huddled together in Carli's living room, Elise included. There was about eight girls and five guys in the middle of a discussion. They all ranged from about fifteen to twenty-five according to Kambry. Carli, a seventeen year old, hosted the meetings weekdays from five to seven.
"Yeah," said a girl with bright red hair a blue eyes that reminded Sophie of the Cox Communications logo. She stood and up and walked over to the two. "Hi, I'm Carli. This is, uh, my house. . . Welcome to the meeting."
Sophie grinned. "It's nice to meet you."
She nodded and then cleared her throat. "Uh, you can both sit down on the couch. There's an extra one set out that you two can fit on."
They both nodded and moved towards to empty couch. They smiled at the group of people watching them with wide eyes. "Uh. . . Hi, I'm Sophie," Sophie introduced awkwardly.
"Well, obviously," said a boy with eyes the same color as Dex but hair was dark black."I'm... ph, you guys don't care. None of us do. You're fricking Sophie Foster and Keefe Sencen: ex black swan members."
"Technically, we're both still in the black swan," Keefe pointed out. "We just don't live there anymore and it's public now."
"Erik," a girl who was like the feminine version of the boy said, "chill." She looked at the two. "I'm Stacy," she introduced. "Both of us have more human names. Our parents watch human movies and my mom liked the name."
"I used to know a girl named Stacy," Sophie said, smiling. "Do you know what human movie your parents named you after?"
"We both came from two separate movies. He came from-"
"Okay, we're back," Carli said, walking with Kambry. "Kambry offered to take the notes of today's meeting." Kambry grinned while she waved to the group with one hand. She sat down on the empty seat beside Sophie.
"Okay, today's topic is. . ." Carli snapped her fingers and a basket filled with pieces of papers appeared.
"You're a conjurer," Sophie said, smiling.
Carli grinned at her. "Yeah. Your mom's a conjurer too, right?" Sophie nodded. "Awesome." She took a deep breathe before placing her hand into the basket and moving it around. After a few seconds she pulled it out with a piece of paper in it. "Suggestion by Elise. Elise, stand up." Elise stood up, her cheeks bright red as she looked at Sophie and Keefe. Carli opened up the paper. "Today's topic is-" Her cheeks turned red and she let out a small cough. "Today's topic is actually one of our debate topics."
"Ooh, I love our debate topics," one of the boys said.
"Today we'll be debating who's better: Grady or Mr. Forkle.," Carli said. She turned to Sophie. "You don't have to pick a side, by the way. You can pick who has the better argument." Sophie nodded slowly. "Alright. People who want to judge stay where you are. Grady pickers on the left, Mr. Forkle on the right."
Keefe went to stand up and Sophie pushed him back down. "What are you doing?" She hissed.
"I, uh, have a side."
She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, no you don't." She looked around. "How do you guys even know so much about the people in my life anyways?"
"Our father was part of the black swan. Mr. Forkle has been to our house a few times," Stacy said. "We're two of the founding members."
"I was friends with Dex for like... a year when we were younger and at one point I found out some cool information about Grady and Edaline," a guy said. "Though. . . it was probably less than a year," he corrected.
"Everyone else just knows rumors and goes off them," one girl said.
"Yeah. We actually have a member who's not here right now. She's planning to write a biography on your life. It'll be a real page turner." Carli grinned.
"Biography? On my life?"
"Yeah. If she was here right now she'd probably be asking you a lot about your life in the human world because no one really knows much about that. We just barely know what had gone on with your elf life. All we really know is you were made by an organization called the black swan, you have a bunch of abilities, and you're married to Keefe even though when you were younger it was obvious you liked Fitz Vacker."
Her cheeks burned red. "I did not."
"Aww, honey, you're blushing," Keefe teased.
She glared at him. "Not helping."
He shrugged. "I wasn't trying to."
___
a/n: I wasn't going to write the meeting full out but I couldn't help it.
Now, my chapter question is: If meetings like this existed, would you attend?
I totally would. Hell, if we had debates like that I could so get into them. Like, you can only imagine me in a debate on what books are better and whether it should be team Peeta or Team Gale and if the Twilight movie sucks because the horrible director or the mouth breathing. . . I'd crush these. *imagines the actual meeting*
haha, who wants to join the team foster-keefe coven? We already have four members from the comment section on that one chapter in Good Match (does that count as a third question? oh well.)
SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE... I JUST WASN'T FEELING IT YESTERDAY... I'M SORRY
but this is extra long so... forgiven?
