Chapter Twelve
a/n: Okay, question for this chapter is what is your favorite person in this world?
My favorite person is my Auntie Monica. I know it's probably weird that I'm not picking my parents but if you met my Auntie Monica you would understand. I actually told my mom that I wanted to grow up a stay at home soccer mom without realizing that's what my Auntie Monica is until after saying it. Literally I want to be like her when I'm older. She does all this cool stuff, too. And she's really scary.
She actually has this pranking thing with my cousins' (they're twins) teacher. Their teacher (principal, maybe) is afraid of snakes so she sent her a 'Christmas present' with a fake snake in it. Apparently it was hilarious and I wish I was there.
so last chapter my mom was mentioned (or chapter ten) and this chapter it's my dad. Sorry for blasting music at 10pm when you want to sleep... not sorry about turning you down on the 'GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND STOP WRITING I DON'T CARE IF YOU WANT TO WRITE IT'S WAY TO LATE FOR YOU TO BE WRITING TURTLE!'
I finished writing this anyways *shh he doesn't know*

"Do you think Dex asked Biana to marry him, yet?" Sophie asked, frowning. They were still waiting for Mr. Forkle to finish meeting up with her human family.
Keefe frowned. "I don't know. He didn't say he was definitely going to ask. He just said today is a possibility. He said he'd ask by the time of the party."
Sophie nodded. "I'm going to go check on them and Iggy."
She took out her Imparter and called them. "Sophie," Dex answered nervously.
"What's going on?" She asked, frowning.
He let out a nervous laugh. "Wrong? Nothing's wrong. . . "
"Dex, it's not going away!" She heard Biana shout in the background.
Sophie glared at the Imparter. "What did you do?"
___
Amy resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Mr. Forkle invited her parents over all the time since they were new to the community. He had lived there for a few years. Her parents thought it was best to take her along every single time. She didn't want to, but they were paying for her classes at the community college and the fact she still lived with them meant that she had to do what they asked. She wanted to go upstairs where Sophie and Keefe were but Mr. Forkle said they needed some alone time. She found it weird Mr. Forkle set up their honeymoon. Usually grandfather's weren't all 'rah rah, go honeymoon!' but whatever floats his boat.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU ALMOST BLEW UP IGGY!? ARE YOU STUPID!?" Sophie shouted.
Mr. Forkle stood up in alarm.
"Sophie," he shouted, "what's going on!?"
She rushed down the stairs, Keefe trailing behind her.
"I trust Dex and Biana with one responsibility. Take care of Iggy." She glared at the wall.
Keefe brushed a hand over her shoulder. "Sophie, calm down before you hurt someone."
She glared at him. "You're the one who said we should have Biana watch him and not Fitz."
"Hey, Biana has her own Imp," he said, holding his arms up in defense. "And it's not like they actually blew Iggy up."
She sighed. "I'm going to kill Dex when we get back. He keeps dying him different colors all the time and I knew this would blow up at us all one day," she told him.
Keefe smiled sadly at her. "What color was Iggy being dyed?"
"Orange," Sophie stated, crossing her arms over her chest. "Now, take at least five steps back before I inflict pain on you accidentally."
He waved her off. "Nah, I'm good. It's happened before and I survived."
"I told you not to touch my book," she said absentmindedly.
He smiled at her. "You're not pissed anymore," he told her.
"What?" She asked.
"You calmed down. See, I'm not completely useless." He grinned pridefully.
She grinned at him. "I knew I didn't just marry you to be married."
"I don't know, you were pretty set on getting married before we got together. Going out and requesting a list. . . "
"We all got our lists at the same time and it was your idea," Sophie said, raising an eyebrow.
"Only because the bet between me and Fitz-"
Amy let out a small sigh. She was annoyed when they bickered all the time. She also was annoyed when they mentioned the names of all these people in their lives with no explanation. Her parents found their constant banter and bickering amusing, though, thinking that it would help them keep a strong bond later in life. She found it annoying and had to constantly hold back from telling them to get a room. "Hey, we should probably go so you guys can start your honeymoon," she said, smiling forcefully at her parents.
Kate nodded. "Yeah, that would be smart," she agreed.
"We'll see you soon," Connor said, standing up. "It was nice to see you two again," Connor said to Sophie and Keefe who nodded at them and smiled.
___
"You're kidding," Sophie said, staring in wonder. Tears filled her eyes.
"It's part of my plan," he said. "Seeing their old house might help them remember. I mean, look at the initials carved into the driveway!"
Sophie took in a deep breath. "What's your plan?"
"You leave something at my house. I pretend to have this problem with my eyes at night and can't drive over there to give it to you so I'm going to ask Natalie to do it," he answers.
Sophie nodded. "Okay. But for the actual honeymoon can we go out and have fun and do stuff. I don't want to stay cooped up in this house. Especially this house, actually." She looked around. "How do you have this?"
"I bought this one and the one next door to where they are. Your family went through this huge decision process when she was pregnant with you. They couldn't decide between the two houses. Of course in this 'reality' they picked that house. In this reality I maneuvered my way into getting that house the same way I maneuvered my way into getting that one," he pointed next door, "in what used to be real."
She nodded. "And in this 'reality' you bought this house and that one?"
He nodded. "Yeah, I told them that I have a second house across town for when I have family visiting all at once for holidays."
"Ah, holidays. . . Christmas. . . Halloween. . . Easter. . . "She trailed off. She smiled at him. "Well, thanks for buying it."
He nodded. "No problems. You'll be fine until night? Around. . . Eight?"
She nodded, rolling her eyes. "Forkle, aren't honeymoons made for the couple to go out and have fun alone?"
His eyes widened and he immediately nodded. "Oh, uh, of course. I'll just go back. Remember, eight."
She smiled. "Bye, Forkle," she told him before he exited the house."
___
"I left my iPod at the house, I think," Sophie said, frowning.
Keefe shrugged. "It's fine. We-"
A knock sounded on the door and Sophie walked over to the door and swung it open. "Hi, Natalie," she greeted, smiling slightly.
"You left this at Forkle's house," she told her, handing over an iPod.
Sophie's eyes widened. "We were just talking about me not having this. Thank you," she said, taking it from Amy's hand.
Amy nodded. "So, you're staying in his extra house?" She looked around in confusion. "I feel like I'm having déjà vu but I don't know why," she told them, looking around. "To be honest I feel it when I'm around you a lot but I wouldn't actually tell you."
Sophie and Keefe shared a look before Sophie turned back to her. "Really? Like what?"
"Well. . . This is going to sound too weird, sorry," she said, cutting herself off.
"No, we'd really like to know. We've got time and we've heard weirder, probably."
Sophie nodded and gestured for Amy to come inside, which she did. "Well. . . When I heard your name, Sophie Foster, I got this weird flash, you know? Like, I was someone else and I knew someone named Sophie and like I was there before. When I heard you talk about a cat named Marty I thought of this cat that I have never heard of before named Marty and I don't remember knowing him. Then I walked up to the house and I saw the initials carved into the driveway. . . I don't know."
Sophie grinned. "Go on."
Amy gave her a confused look before going on. "I felt like I was there when the initials were put into the driveway but I don't- I. . . I don't know."
Sophie looked to Keefe before looking back at her. She had been using the trick to keep out human thoughts but stopped so she could hear Amy's thoughts.
I'm going crazy. My name's Natalie and Sophie isn't my sister, she thought to herself.
Sophie's eyes widened. "You remember."
