"Sophie? Do you think you could help me?" Kamry questioned, walking into the classroom.

Sophie frowned. "Sure. What do you need?"

"Can you inflict intelligence?"

Sophie laughed and rolled her eyes. "I think that would be cheating," she said. "Maybe some positive feelings? Make you feel better, maybe more confident?"

Kamry shrugged. "That could work, I guess," she said.

Sophie nodded and after a minute of conjuring up the right thoughts, she released them on Kamry. "Did it work?" Sophie asked curiously.

Kamry nodded, grinning. "Thanks, Mrs. S."

Sophie waved the apology off. "What did you need it for?" Sophie asked curiously.

"I have a test in my next class," Kamry explained.

Sophie frowned. "I can't remember the last time I had to take a test. I just remember not liking them." She frowned.

Kamry sighed before looking over Sophie. "Have you guys figured out the gender of the baby yet?"

Sophie shook her head. "We decided not to. Elwin is the only person who will know for the next few months."

"Won't it bug you not knowing?" Kamry questioned.

Sophie shook her head. "I'm not going to dwell on it." She sighed. "Well, let's get to work. Maybe instead of doing my lesson plan I can help you study. You're stuck with me until your graduate. I think one day off is okay."

___

"Did it work?" Julia asked, grinning.

Sophie nodded, grinning. "Yeah, he got it." She invited Fitz to the school and made him stand on the other side of the building so Julia could practice long-distance transmitting.

"I feel amazing," Julia said, grinning. "This is the first time I've achieved something new in like... three months."

Sophie nodded. "To learn the new you have to go back to the old. It's good to space out what you're learning. This past month of review has helped you a lot." Julia nodded. "That, and I have a son at home who won't stop crying so that means less planning time. I can tell why I'm the first mentor here who's married. I pray that I'm the last. No one deserves to be this tired." She rubbed her eyes.

"At least you get two months off after your have him or her," Julia said, shrugging. "Who's my filler, by the way? They said I can't just skip because my boyfriend and friends would skip with me," She frowned at that.

"I'm having Fitz stand in for a while. He doesn't have a solid job. He's free." She smiled slightly.

Julia grinned as Fitz walked through the door. "Congratulations on the long-distance transmitting," he congratulated her.

She grinned. "Thanks Fitz." She nodded.

Sophie looked at him with a large grin. "I just told her the good news."

"You're pregnant?"

"You're taking over for me when I'm not pregnant anymore." She looked at Julia. "Promise that you'll always like me more than him."

Julia cringed. "But he's right there," she whispered.

Fitz shook his head. "It's fine. Everyone loves Sophie."

"Not everyone," she deadpanned.

"Name one guy in our generation who didn't have a crush on you."

"Jensi?"

"Level two," he said. "It was obvious he liked you when you joined."

"Nah, he was just excited," she said with a wave.

"Did you have a crush on Sophie?" Julia asked Fitz curiously.

Fitz nodded. "The biggest."

"Definitely not as big as the crush I had on him," Sophie said, smiling. "We actually somewhat dated when I was sixteen, but not really."

He nodded. "Yeah, but that doesn't really count."

She shrugged and looked at Julia. "Sometimes you just don't end up with who you think you'll end up with. I mean, think of his sister and my best friend."

Fitz's face scrunched up at that. "Let's not talk about my little sister's love life," he said.

Sophie laughed. "Come on, you know you're happy for them. They've been married for a year and almost if not already a half."

Fitz rolled his eyes. "They've been married for almost two years, Sophie," he said.

She frowned. "Gosh... How long have me and Keefe been married?"

"Speaking of Keefe, the way you guys talk about your relationship it seems like you've liked each other forever. How did that work out if you liked Fitz?" Julia cut in.

Sophie laughed. "I had these small moments with Keefe where it would just be like, whoa I like this guy, but I all around, all the time liked Fitz," she explained. "I guess it's the small moments that count because in the end I fell in love with Keefe and not Fitz."

"You're breaking my heart," Fitz stated dramatically.

Sophie laughed. "Oh you hush. You're married."

He rolled his eyes. "I've got to go get Adela before my parents kill me for being late."

Sophie shrugged. "Okay. Bye, Fitz."

He left quickly and Sophie turned to Julia. "Any more questions on my love life? I should be some talk show person but instead of the interviewer every episode people interview me." She rolled her eyes.

"What was the happiest moment in your entire life? Like, the moment where you were so happy you could die?"

Sophie frowned. "Well... Not my wedding, that was too stressful to make me so happy. Not my... No. Can't be when Kenric was born because when this baby is born they'll say I'm picking favorites. I'd probably say when Fitz found me."

"Really? Wasn't it hard leaving your family?"

She nodded. "I believe that this is where I belong. With that key event, I met all the most important people in my life. My two prodigies, my husband, my best friends, my adopted parents, my godchild, and my son... And the up and coming one," she explained, patting her stomach. "Plus, I still talk to Amy all the time and my human parents are close to breaking through their memories so they can remember me."

Julia nodded. "Uh... Favorite color?"

___

"You're not tired," Keefe pointed out, smiling.

She grinned. "I had a good day and basically got away with teaching almost nothing."

He grinned. "Lucky you. I'll be back early today so don't start dinner without me."

"Okay," she said. He quickly leaned down and gave her a kiss, shouting, "Love you, bye!" before running out of the house. She looked over to where Kenric was playing with his toys.

"Momma!" Kenric shouted, jumping up from his place on the floor and over to her. He wrapped his arms around her leg and she laugh. "Momma, Daddy said that there's a package in the kitchen for you."

She smiled. "Thanks, baby," she said. "Go back to your toys." He jumped up from his place and ran away. She rolled her eyes and walked to the kitchen where a box was on the counter. She grabbed some scissors and stabbed the tape and down to see it hold a bunch of human books from Forkle.

She grinned and opened one up and started to read it. She was around page 340 when Keefe came back home. She didn't even notice that and was still hooked in the book. "Sophie, where's Kenric?" Keefe asked carefully.

Sophie didn't even look up. "He's in his play pen."

"You kept him in his room? You know how he gets when he's stuck in his room too long."

"Tell him life comes with disappointments and he needs to suck it up," she replied before looking up with wide eyes. "Oh my gosh this book is ruining me." She quickly put it down.

"Where'd you get it?" He asked, picking it up and flipping through it.

She went to reply when a loud shout from upstairs came. Both of them sighed and went to go see Kenric together. "What's wrong, baby?" Sophie questioned as Keefe picked him up, out of his play pen.

"I'm hungry," he cried. "My stomach hurts."

Sophie nodded sympathetically. "How about Daddy gets you some food why I make mine and his?"

Kenric nodded silently, his lip trembling as he held his stomach dramatically. "Come on, let's go downstairs," Keefe said, still holding Kenric in his arms as he walked out of the room and down the stairs with Sophie trailing behind. He dropped Kenric off near his toys before they both went to the kitchen to make food.

"Brown mush sound nice?" Sophie questioned.

Keefe rolled his eyes. "You know that's not it's name."

"They should name objects and foods after what they look like so it's easier for people to understand. Hence, brown mush." She grinned.

"I don't think I'd buy a food named brown mush. To be honest, you calling it that doesn't make it sound so pleasant." He frowned.

She rolled her eyes. "Please. Once it's made and you eat it, you're in love."

"Your cooking is definitely not what made me fall in love with you," he responded, laughing.

She picked up a piece of some random fruit and threw it at him. "Shh, my cooking is fantastic."

He rolled his eyes. "Yeah... Not really." She went to throw another when he held up Kenric's food. "If this goes down you have to deal with the crying baby," he threatened. She slowly lowered her arm. He nodded. "That's a good Sophie," he cheered playfully. She rolled her eyes and went back to cooking as he went to go feed Kenric his dinner.

extra note: sorry it's so late and so short. my mind has been blank. I have a huge test in French tomorrow on -er -ir and -re verbs from French 1 and French 2 and I should be studying and I'm not. I also have to study for my English final next week. We got a paper with all the things that will be on the test and I took one look at it and wanted to cry because I literally have no idea what any of it means... and I speak English as a first language. Dx.

Also, My mom is having a great time after her surgery. She can't eat anything really except really small bites of chicken that she has to chew at least 100 times before swallowing or chicken broth (which sucks for her because she loves food not as much as me or my dad but enough to miss it) and so she lost 21 pounds. Go Mom. (my mom is like... extremely overweight so the fact she lost 21 pounds in one week is really like O.O).
