Anna's Pov:
.
.
.
.
I start my day off as usual, the sound of my alarm clock still beeping upstairs. I've been dressed for at least an hour now, and my alarm has been ringing for just that long, maybe longer. It's Monday again, and I'm currently sitting at the table in the apartment that Uncle Toshi rents out for me. Well, it's more of Aizawa-sensei doing it since uncle Toshi is always "oh, so busy!"
Nevertheless, I'm grateful for this. It's fairly close to school and everyone here minds their business. I finish eating my toast as I glance at my phone suddenly vibrating. Some random number was calling me again.
"Hello this is Anna's phone. Anna speaking!" I say a little too enthusiastically. People usually hang up after I say something like that.
"Oi, shithead. You coming to school or what?" Bakugo let's out an irritated groan. I do the same after I realize it's him.
"Where'd you get my number from you overgrown cactus?" I honestly wanted to know. I don't remember giving to him, or anyone but Midoriya and Ochako.
"That damn nerd Deku and his weird floaty girlfriend. Thinking about them pisses me off."
"Weird flex, but okay."
"Answer the question, dumbass. You coming to school or not?"
"Yeah, yeah. I'm about to leave home now. Also, why do you care anyways?"
"Look, I don't care at all. The hag made me call and check up on you. She made me track down that fucking nerd for your stupid number."
"Wait, if your mom made you get my number from Midoriya, doesn't that mean they know that we hung out over the weekend?"
"That nerd isn't gonna say shit," Katsuki growled.
"Okay, good. I don't feel like being bothered because of you."
"What's that supposed to mean?!"
"I'll come yell at you when I get there, if it'll make you feel better." I let out a small chuckle, slipping on my shoes and grabbing my school bag from the couch.
"Whatever, bye." He grumbled and the line went silent. I let out a low sigh, locking the door behind me as I scurried out of the door. I know that I left my alarm ringing, reader. Please, don't bully me for it. I'll remember to turn it off during school at some point. I jump over the balcony, using my hair to cushion my fall before launching myself back into the air like Spider-sama (because Spider- man would tell me I'm being kinda reckless. Haha, I'm just kidding).
I eventually make it a few hundred feet away from school, so I start walking the rest of the way. It's for exercise purposes. That's what I keep telling myself anyways. I see a few other students walking on the other side of the street, glancing over at me and giggling slightly. I ignore them the best that I can. I turn the corner, walking through the front gates of the school and eyes immediately glance my way. Some of them sympathetic looks while others were semi-demonic. I guess it was normal? I walk pass a group of second years, their eyes glued to me. I know that my hair is kind of weird, but it's nothing too eccentric.
"Hey, you're a first year, right?" An extremely tall guy hovers over me, a smirk covering his face. His eyes were a gold color, and they seemed to pierce my soul. I didn't like him one bit.
"Who wants to know?" I question, giving him a forced smile. Making faces like that tend to make others uncomfortable. I hope this works.
"Call me Sie. I just wanted to let you know that you're cute..." He pushed his glasses up on his nose.
"Um, thank you-"
"For a big girl at least." His friends chuckled at his stupid remark.
"For your information, big is beautiful you elongated fish. And secondly, did you even think about the fact that my weight could be beneficial for my quirk?"
"W-well, no but-"
"Exactly! You don't even understand how my body or my powers work, so leave me alone!"
The boy grumbles and turns away, mumbling something under his breath. I let out a sigh, pulling my bag over my shoulder and head to the infamous class 1-a. The hallways were filled with students, some groups chatting about their weekends, and others gossiping about their supposed "friends." I understand that this is a school for future heroes, but teens will be teens.
"DEKU YOU DAMN NERD!"
"K-kaachan! I-its not my fault!"
"Yo, Bakugo calm down!"
"Crap!" I hear them from all the way down the hallway, so you already know something dumb is going to happen. I shove my way through the crowded hallway. I need to save Midoriya. As soon as i get through the door, I pull Katsuki to me with my hair, wrapping it around his torso to make sure he doesn't get away.
"Let me go! I'm gonna kill that nerd!" He tries to singe my hair, but I already made sure that I activated the fireproof mode. I wrap him up tighter and out my arms around him.
"Calm down, Katsuki." He stops struggling, his breathing gradually slowing down. The tension in the room just instantly eased, everyone let out sighs of relief. I guide Bakugo to his seat and tie him to it with some of Sero's tape. Thank God I didn't have to cut my hair just to tie him up.
"Let me go, Meatball." Katsuki looks up at me, his statement coming out more like a question than a command.
"No. I can't risk letting you hurt Midoriya. Speaking of such, Midoriya!" The green haired boy looked my way, his eyes locking with the boy's eyes in the chair behind me. You could see that he's scared of coming over here. "Kirishima, can you keep an eye on this angry mutt for me?"
"Why you little-!" Bakugo growls as Kirishima walks over.
"Yeah, I'll make sure he doesn't get away!" The red-haired teen smiles his signiture smile, saluting to me. I give him a hug and walk over to Izuku.
"H-hey Anna-chan."
"Hey Midoriya, I just came over to see if you're okay." I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Yes, I'm okay." He gives me a small smile.
"Good."
"Hey Anna-chan~!" Mina calls over to me with a smirk on her face. She motions for me to come over.
"Yes, Ashido-san?"
"Rumor has it that you and Bakugo hung out on Saturday! Is it true~?" She looked at me expectantly. Some of the other girls in the class were staring too. I look back over at Bakugo, a pout on his face while a couple of the guys in the class stood near him.
"No, we weren't. I was heading to the store and his dog ran up to me. So I started petting her and then he ran up yelling at me to let his dog go." Mina's smile turned to a frown.
"Ugh, I thought something scandalous happened," I let out a chuckle and she wrapped her arm around my shoulder. "Since that rumor is a bust, how'd you manage to calm him down?" She pointed her finger at the hot-headed teen who was currently yelling at Kaminari.
"As someone who's always been alone, I just did what I'd want someone else to do for me." Mina let out a hum in response.
"Well, it's good that you showed up when you did, because Midoriya totally would've been dead meat." She laughed, eventually turning her attention to the other girls. I go to me seat, pulling out my sketchbook. I've been working on a design for my hero costume. So far, nothing really makes me happy with it.
"Oi, Meatball." Katsuki calls over to me, his eyes clouded by rage. I'd rather not ignore him this time.
"Yes?" I lean my head on my hand, looking over at him.
"Untie me." I roll my eyes.
"Not until Aizawa-sensei gets here," and no sooner than I can finish my statement, the finest teacher in the school walks in, and everyone scrambles around for their seats. I scoot my chair over to Bakugo's.
"Snip, snip!" I open and close my fingers like a pair of scissors. Bakugo's frown grew more.
"Get some damn scissors you fucking idiot!"
"Calm your tits they're gonna work! Look!" I pull a small spike of his hair and cut it, making it a shorter one.
The blonde boy immediately starts yelling at me.
"Awe, shut up Bakugo it looks the same as before! Now let me cut this tape-" I felt the energy draining from my body. Eraserhead doing what he's best at: temporary quirk erasing.
"You two. Stop flirting so I can start my lesson." If he hadn't stopped my quirk, my hair would be a bright shade of red right now.
"I"M NOT FLIRTING WITH THIS EXTRA!"
"HOW AM I AN EXTRA???" I yell at Bakugo.
"BECAUSE!"
"BECAUSE WHY?"
"BECAUSE I SAID SO-"
"SHUT THE HELL UP BEFORE I EXPEL YOU BOTH!" Both of us go silent and I scoot back over to my seat. After a few seconds, Bakugo's mumbling under his breath about the tape on his wrists. You'd assume he can just melt it with his hands, but someone has to think like a dumbass.
"Just melt it with your hands, dumbass." I murmur under my breath, a certain ash blonde asshole murmuring back to kiss his ass. The rest of the class went on as usual, Aizawa making an announcement about some field trip to a place called the U.SJ. As you can see, haven't been paying attention. I sat there, doodling on some of my homework sheets when a tiny explosion went off n the seat next to mine. I guess the idiot finally decided to free himself. After the class settled down from the announcement, Sensei slowly, but surely, dismissed himself to his sleeping bag in the front corner of the room and slept.
"Did you hear that Anna-chan? We're gonna get some training!" Mina whisper-yelled to me while tapping my shoulder. I shrug, going back to the thing I was currently drawing. I like shipping my classmate with one another, and I've been drawing my ships.
So far, this is my list:
Minashima! (Mina x Kirishima) Playtonic ship
Sukoyami! (Asui x Tokoyami) Romantic ship
Hagajiro! (Hagakare x Ojiro) Romantic Ship
Dekuraka! (Deku x Ururaka) Romantic Ship
Momoroki! (Momo x Todoroki) VERY Romantic ship
Don't get me wrong, I love gay ships, but I think these have a better shot at working. The pink girl behind me tapped my shoulder again.
"Anna, what's that?" She points to the list of ship names on the top of my sheet. I close my sketchbook, a loud thunk echoing throughout the room. No one else seemed to notice.
"I-it's nothing, haha! I don't know what you're talking about!" I shove the doodle-filled journal into my bag, almost breaking the few pencils that I have scattered along the bottom of the bag.
"Lemme seeeeeee!" She reaches for my booksack and I pull it away from her. I have no idea what I have on there, and I'd rather not have her find something she doesn't want to see. We spend about five minutes fighting over my sketchbook after that. She chased me around the room, and now I'm jumping from desktop to desktop.
"Mina leave me aloneeeeee!" I whine and shakily stand on a desk full of untouched papers and a few burn marks on it.
"I'll leave you alone of you tell me what's in the book!" She stood on the floor in front of me reaching for the bag that I have tangled in my hair.
"No! T-hey're just a bunch of dumb drawings..."
"Well, I should be able to see them if they're just a bunch of dumb drawings!" She managed to get the bag away from me, pulling the zipper open and pulling the sketchbook out. She opens up the first page.
"Ahhhhhh, give it baaack!" I start pulling it from her with my hair.
"Anna-chan, stop it!" She pulls back. She then slips on something on the floor and I successfully take my sketchbook back and shoving it into a random desk.
"hAhA! Now you can't look at it!" She puffs her cheeks in defeat.
"Where did it gooo?" She whines and shakes me by my leg.
"Mina stop, you're gonna make me fall!" She pulls at my ankle, making me slip and fall onto someone. That someone was Bakugo.
"What the hell you fucking dumbasses?!" He growls at us and I jump up and run to the other side of the room.
"Sorry! I didn't see you there B-bakugo..." I stand there with my head against the wall and a hand on my neck. I know the angry boy was gonna kill both of us, but hopefully it's Mina first. The rest of our classmates were murmuring among one another as Bakugo yelled at Mina. I stayed in my corner as Shoji stood over me, quietly keeping me company. He put one of his hands on my shoulder softly.
After that, the rest of the day's activities went by smoothly. Surprisingly, Bakugo hasn't yelled at me for getting launched into him and crushing his -oh so muscly- body. I wouldn't be suprised if it didn't even hurt. It was the end of the day now, cleaning time was now over and the majority of us were on our way home if we weren't already there. I made it home about an hour ago, but only because I was stuck cleaning the classroom yesterday. Wasn't in the mood for it today, Satan! I stand in the bathroom mirror, washing my face and all that other self-care jazz when I get a message from Iida.
'Katsuyama-san, I would like to inform you that your sketchbook was found in Hagakare's desk during cleaning time.' The message read.
"Thank goodness! I forgot that I even shoved it into her desk..." I replied and almost instantly got one back.
'I've entrusted said book to Bakugo since you two seem really close. Is that okay?'
Is that okay? No, it's not! I have sketches of him in there. He'll think I'm weird...oh goodness.
"Yeah, that's okay Iida-kun. Thank you so much." He responds with an overly formal version of "you're welcome" and leaves me to do "whatever nightly activities that I partake in", whatever that means. I eventually leave the bathroom in my comfy hoodie and no ant, because pants are for the weak.
"Incoming call from... KATIE BOOM-BOOM BOY!" I pick up my phone hesitantly, a slight smile on my face as the phone calls out his name a few more times.
"Hello?"
"Oi, Meatball. I got your drawing book." The raspy-voiced teen sounded from the other end of the line, tiredness intertwined in his words.
"I know, Katie. Iida told me already." I hear him growl lightly before speaking again.
"Look, I don't know what kind of obsession you have with me-"
"I don't have an obsession with you. You're the closest person to me that doesn't notice that I'm not paying attention to the lesson-"
"I don't care you freak." He snapped.
"Shut up and let me speak!"
"Yes sir~." He practically takes my ear off with his yelling. I hold back my laughter.
"Anyway, even though you're an obsessed freak, your drawings are pretty good...." He trails off and I tell him thank you, slightly mad that he called me obsessed. We sit in silence for a moment.
"Can I keep these?" He asks after a while.
"Keep what?" I ask, knowing good and well that he's talking about the drawings.
"Hold on." He hangs up the phone and immediately video calls me. I answer him again.
"Okay, what do you want exactly?"
"These ones." He points the camera at a very detailed drawing of himself sitting at his kitchen table, something that kinda looked like his dog Haru, and self portrait that I made while in the hospital.
"I can see why you'd want the picture of yourself, but why the picture of me?" He looks at the drawing again, then looks at me then back at the drawing before his eyes widen.
"Like hell that's you." He laughs at the girl on the paper. She looks exactly like me, just with better style.
"Like hell it is me! I drew that so it's me!" I frown as he continues laughing. He eventually calms down and asks for the picture again.
"Why do you want it so badly?"
"Because it's one of the only things in the damn book that looks good." He states arrogantly. I roll my eyes dismissively.
"Ugh, fine. At least put them up somewhere nice." He chuckles softly and carefully tears each page and sits them on the desk next to his bed.
"Thanks Meatball, you're not as horrible as you act."
"How am I the horrible one?! You literally threaten to kill me everyday."
"Shut it, rainbow hair." He groans, laying back on his bed. He props his phone up on his pillow and Haru starts barking in the background.
"Awe, my bestie's looking for me! Haru~!" The small fluffy dog hops on the bed in front of Bakugo's face and licks the screen. He moves the small dog out of the way and lays her on his chest.
"Ugh, you stupid dog... stay still." He pets Haru softly and she calms down. I watch quietly at the aggressive boy become a softy right before my eyes. The two ash blondes lay quietly on their comfy bed, which I now know is a lot comfier than my entire existence. I smile at them softly.
"Goodnight, Katsuki." I say and said boy looks over to the phone, eyes wide before they sharpen to their usual glare.
"Go to bed you creep." He turns on his side and looks at me, eyes heavily bagged.
"Haha, alright. Sleep decently, okay?"
"Yeah, whatever." That was the last thing he said before his little snores were echoing throughout both of our rooms. I take that as my sign to finally lay down and fall asleep to the sound of Katsuki's snores.
