Chapter 9-Keefe/Ro
Keefe
I still can't believe Fitz did that, to Sophie! Sophie of all people. I was so angry when I came back home, we'll what I call home— it never felt like home at Shores of Solace. I walk inside going to the cupboard, pulling something random out of it, not really caring what it is, then taking it to my room. I am still lost in thought when Ro says,
"What happened, and you gotta tell your girl."
"First off, Fitz lost his temper with Foster and second, no."
"Wow, you really should tell her and, seriously, why do you even like that guy."
"Okay, I get it, you don't like Fitz, but you need to know that he's not a bad guy, he just has a little... anger issues."
"Your still avoiding my other suggestion. You gotta tell her." Ro keeps looking at me, she kinda looks disappointed.
. . .
Ro
I can't believe him, he just keeps giving up. He lets everyone else win. Will he ever learn. Yeah, my guess is no. Keefe gets up and gets his golden notebook. He looks through it, it has all these pictures of Sophie. She has to see it. At this rate, Keefe will never tell her, Blondie will never uncover her feelings for Keefe, and I will always be here, watching my boy be all sad and have Blondie regularly dropping in for no reason and I will never get to see them together together.
"Dude, you need to show her those." I say pointing to his golden book. The book has all those memories with Sophie. Sophie here, Sophie there. All Sophie. Every. Single. Page.
"Uh, sure I'll show her, just as she finds a way to walk fifty metres with high heels on." I don't think he realises this, but I think I can make him promise me something by accident.
"Promise." I say this sweetly,
"Sure promise, whatever." Then I shake his and I just trapped him.
"Wait, what did I just agree to?" He says this noticing my celebration and he paled.
"Well, you just said if your girl can make it fifty metres in high heels without falling, you will show her your book!" I say this so excitedly. Then I say.
"Hail her or let's go over. Now. I need to talk to your girl."
"What, why, no."
"Take me or the next time I see her I will tell her you like her, and if you advise her, she will just come over. You know that."
"Uh... I'll tell her not to come." Keefe says, worriedly but trying to sound calm, he already knows he has lost.
"Like that's gonna stop her." I say this arching my eyebrow, "it'll just make her anxious and then she'll come over or hail you or do one of those elf-y tricks." I just won and he knows it. So he sits up and says,
"Look, can we wait till tomorrow, she might be asleep..." I agree with this and I can't wait for tomorrow. He just gets up and walks to his bathroom.
