ps: guys its not like any other stories i wrote before. its like little fairy tale type with prince, with and magic. this kind of fantasy , magic, adventure was very first for me. i am dedicating this to our sree. her birthday was on 27. but trust me for her ever so cute nature i couldn't find a fitting story which will justify her traits. even its not; but i tried different. so sreee dear say me, what you think. you are allowed after your exams too.

Once upon a time, a long long ago there lived a cute and sweet girl Somasree ; who was a believer in Almighty and fate. She always believed ' if you are destined for something or someone you will definitely get it when right time approach'. She was an eternal beauty, kind hearted with her best gifted possession ' her intellects'; if it was modern time people might have considered her as the lady Einstein. She loved to spread happiness and hard worked to get others happiness too. Her small village Ranipur, also known as 'fairy land' for its own serene beauty possessed every kind of natural glory which was a exotic view to the tourist from outside. Surrounded by majestic mountains, scenic sea with greenery all around and fragrance of colorful flowers made Ranipur's natural beauty a great attraction to others.

Like every folks told that if beauty was there ,beast too there present. Like moon also had its dark spot; so as Ranipur. Amidst all those beauty in Ranipur , there was certain forbidden place near lake side ,paving way to mountains which lead to legendary valley of enchanted and the golden valley. According to legend whoever went behind those mountain ,never returned. Somasree was brave enough girl; but not disrespectful one. One day waiting for his father's return, she went outside in search of her father as he didn't come. After searching everywhere she went to lake side. Slowly its forgotten from her mind that she was heading toward forbidden place ; her mind only captured with thought of her Father's safety. The moment she stepped in the golden valley she felt something creepy in atmosphere. Right then it stucked her sense that she was at forbidden area, where she should not be. Before she could decipher anything a black smoke ringed the area around her and she felt choked. When her sense back she found herself under a tree with two shining golden sharp weapons placed on her both side of neck.

" what place is this? How I am here?" Somasree asked terrified though she showed a brave expression on face.

" It's the golden valley where mortals are forbid to enter. You are here to take your punishment ." A stern reply came from the living being stood near. It was difficult to say if that's human being or any other creature as the time was night and their weird golden costumes shined mysteriously under full moon light.

" Punishment." She was shivered. " wait, what do you mean by mortals; Aren't you too mortals? Don't tell me you all were long gone." Her wit and confusion made her to ask such boldly.

" that's not for you to know!" A curt reply came filled with little warn.

" But isn't it rule to fulfill last wish of ...." Her sentence immediately cut off as another threat came, " if you didn't try to shut your pretty smart mouth, may be before your punishment I will finish you here."

" but ......whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaahhhhhh" her voice stretched as she felt that weird creature picked up sword to hit her. She closed her eyes being scared anticipating her last breaths. But after sometime when she felt no harm on her, she opened her eyes only to see a handsome guy stood there with an illuminating face. She only gawked at his super beautiful features. Her extra sharpen brain immediately begun to work in different direction in such dangerous situation too.

" when you will be in some danger, your handsome prince will come by riding a Pegasus to rescue you. And then you will know whom you destined for." Her late grandmother's words were ringing in her ear, as she stared the newly human structure without blinking. Her trance broke when he snapped in front of her and extended his hand to her to help her up. She was looking behind him as if really to get view of Pegasus; but alas nothing. Immediately her expression changed into doubtful.

" who are you?" she asked thinking him one of them or might be he was their leader who would slay her off.

"don't worry. I am your well wisher" he said with a little smile, still his hand extended.

" why should I believe you? If you will kill me later?" she asked while biting her nails in nervousness.

" so you want to die?" he asked bluntly this time.

" what? No...no...not here atleast." She replied hurriedly by getting up.

" so let's get out of here, before their entire group come again to attack us." He said urgently.

" should I go with you?" she still asked hesitated.

" okay ..as you wish and stay here; wait for them to come again and slay you." He started to walk ; but not before showing her they were marching toward them. With a lightning speed she jumped in front of him and both ran away. He helped her to get right direction till Lake and stopped , " well, I hope you can find your way now."

" thank you very much." She said gratefully this time. He smiled and turned to go, while he was turning her gaze fell on the sun tattoo on his broad shoulder, which she remembered one of symbol from Royal family.

" wait." She called immediately. " can I know your name, please!" she asked but politely.

" why you want to know?"

" at least I want to know my savior and why you helped me?"

" is it your habit to be confused and nag a lot for answers or do you really got so many doubts in milli second, like a genius?" he asked flashing his broad smile. She felt might be nothing beautiful and calm than his smile.

" will you answer me ?" she asked irritated for his tease.

" of course! My lord. Its my duty to save my people and that's why I save you." He replied looking at full moon. She noticed a sadness crossed across his face as his eyes lost that gleam. He took out one of his ring and put on her, " don't miss this ring and meet king for sure. Show it to him for sure." His voice sounded pleading as she nodded positive while looking at her ring adorned finger. She stood rooted when he was walking away toward forbidden area while she called again loudly, " when will we meet again?"

He froze at his place and didn't turn but replied, "may be never." A sadness, sorrow, pain engulfed in his voice as he disappeared in those mountains, somasree picked up a big rolled cloth which was dropped on the place which he stood before and still stood there looking at his direction when a voice called her, " somu, my child. What are you doing here?"

" father! Where were you? You know how much I worried when I didn't see you at home on time."

" I know my child. I am sorry. Works overloaded today, because I got few orders from palace." Her father replied; then she remembered the stranger's talk and asked her father to accompany her to palace.

King's palace was always open for his people. When Somasree told about urgency of her visit, king immediately met her. The moment she showed ring ; king's face fell off immediately. Silent tears made its way. She was confused and shocked seeing king's vulnerable state.

"So he found the lost ring, my poor son. But it didn't help him." King mumbled when chanted same things by holding the ring to his heart.

She was more confused now and asked , " sorry if I cross my line! But your son, what does it mean your Majesty?" her father looked at her with terror, might be at her guts still asking doubts matter?

" yes ! my son. Crown prince Sampat." King replied still staring at the ring. Somasree was shocked and remembered her savior's word ' my people'. Her eyes too filled up. She dared many things till now; so she decided to ask the king what's the real matter behind the mystery.

The king of the territory had a keen interest to bloom Ranipur's natural serenity; so he organized one annual crop festival at Ranipur in every year to attract attention of tourists and merchants. It was an agricultural festival which considered as biggest and chastity festival to thank Almighty for their blessings; unlike nowadays where farmers considered as mere shit. The king taught his people to respect farmers who made other to live life with an ease. But amidst all happiness there was a sorrowful incident which took a away the biggest happiness from the king. The elder son Sampat was taken away from him, for the brutality of past curse which his family was suffering from generations. Although his younger son Swagat was with them, but the naivety and foolishness of his was no less than a donkey.

According to legend of royal family, the great great grand king had two son. But sadly king exiled the elder son for marring a daughter of black magician, forbidden him from his own right , to sit on throne. In guilty or remorse the son committed suicide , leaving a note that he would be back for his right and then he could make her happy. In fury Magician's daughter went to king and cursed the whole Royal family to death. But nothing happened as she wished ; later she got to know her own father saved Royal family by giving them a powerful mystic ring which held the magician's every power, who able to prevent any mishaps. In angst she killed her own father and took the ' old spell and chant book' to gain her own power. But before she went away she again showed herself in royal family and warned them that the game was not over and she got power of being immortal like life. She would be back to avenge and took what's her only. Royal family had to pay for their deeds. From then nobody knew where she went ; but some old people said they saw a witch somewhere near hill or here and there staring Royal castle.

It was another crop festival, years back when Sampat was declared to be crown prince and later king after few years. People were very joyful and gossiping about their upcoming king. In the end of festival when king and his family were going back to palace, Swagat was tailing behind Sampat when his eyes fell an extraordinary beautiful woman. He pulled toward her like magnet. Near reaching her he only stared her without blinking eyes.

" Am I that beautiful , so you can't take your eyes off?" Lady asked smiling mysteriously.

" Yes! I never saw any beauty like you." He almost drooled.

" You want to marry me!" she again asked honey laced tone.

" can I? Really!" He asked as he could not believe his ears.

" yes!" she said. His eyes lit up as he flashed a toothy smile. But immediately it went down upon hearing her saying, " but I have one condition."

" I am ready to fill any conditions." He said as if he was enchanted.

" you have to propose me , in front of your family with the particular ring your father adorned always in his little finger." She said hiding her smirk. Swagat nodded and ran to his family impatiently. Now the lady turned up her face with disgust and an evil smirk played. Her eyes landed on Sampat , she smiled , " so you are back, as you promised. You don't know how much I waited for you. Tonight I will take you with me forever."

Later Swagat made faces when king denied his wish. He cried, made complaints that he always love Sampat not him. Then after many emotional drama and threat on his life , king agreed to gave him the ring. But warned him to keep it safe and returned him till next day. With the mean time Swagat took that woman in front of his family, when king and Sampat were busy discussing some of state matter. Swagat wanted their attentions by nagging again, to which Sampat told him to keep silence.

" Father, I want to marry her." He whined.Sampat and the king stood rooted at their place.

" And from when you know her? which family she belongs?" king asked.

" it doesn't matter from which family she belongs. I just want her." He was talking absurd.

" and lady do you agree with him?" king asked shocking her.

" No. Never, in fact I want to marry Crown prince." Everyone shocked. From all of them King reacted badly , " What do you think yourself? Do you even in your mind to ask this? He is crown prince and future king , but who are you? Nothing? How dare you bring such topic?"

She went to Sampat and cupped his face , " My love, don't you recognize me? You promised you will be back and I am waiting for you from decade. See me properly. Its me; your lost love." Her voice and eyes held different kind of mysterious aura.

Sampat pushed her feeling suffocated and disgusted at once, " what are you doing? I am seeing you first time? I am forgiving you this time because you are a woman."

She started laughing maniacally, " so you are still the same. Last time I enchanted you to marry me. Seems like I have to do same again this time. You always belong to me, in that birth or this birth."

" Guards...guards... seize her and throw in dungeon." King ordered as if he sensed something unusual.

" not so soon, you bloody king, the same as the past." She roared with her evil laughter ,showing her true form. " I am not a weak or fool anymore." She held Sampat's hand tightly ; in return who tried to pick the sword.

King asked Swagat for ring; but he looked down ashamed. The evil witch showed the king ,the magician ring and threw on floor which immediately vanished to no where. When Magician gave the ring to ancestors of royals; he strictly forbid the ring to touch ground else something big might happen. With her fury she tried to kill the king by her black magic for revenge and in process of Sampat blocking it transformed into a stone statue. Everyone stood in shock with horror stricken face ; even the witch seemed angry and disheartened. Surprisingly the statue too vanished within no time. For a change the witch told them, about curse-free , magic-free ways to get crown prince back. But should be before 8th fullmoon.

"what? Stone statue?" Somasree asked in shock. " but I saw him as flesh and blood , trust me."

" yes, I know. On each full moon he came to life and tried to do his best. But alas! In next day he vanished to that god forbid land, which he told me once, when we met. And the next fullmoon will be 8th." King replied painfully.

" so how can we save him." She asked with hope as she couldn't imagine her savior, such handsome man would be statue forever. That's why he replied they couldn't meet again, that's why he was too sad. Aaaaahhhh her heart too cried for some unknown reasons.

" I don't know. I don't know from where I will get a person who has pure heart and can't wish anything other than my son's life. This ring lost its power after touching the ground. The magician's pure bliss can be retrieved only when the person surrendered completely. But the deed should be done by other than family members" kind said helplessly looking at up.

" I will try." She replied confidently shocking her father and the king too.

" I can't let you. You are my only child and you know whoever went the valley of enchanted never returned back." Her father protested and even king seconded.

" I am thankful dear, that you show such wish; but I can't be more selfish. I can't be more selfish for my own son, I have my duty for my people's safety." King said.

But somehow Somasree convinced, that as a king if he think about people safety then why couldn't they. She took the Ring and went toward the valley of enchanted. The rolled cloth piece which she got from the place crown prince left, had safety routes and dawning about enchanted valley. So it was not particularly a dangerous journey; but exhaustive. Even from mid of journey she had a companion, who too had same motto like her. She was happily agreed with her to share the routes and both chit chatted how to free the prince. Until they reached on a cliff and decided to go which way as somasree felt a little tap on her shoulder and turned to see the evil witch. She was shocked and scared but didn't show it up on face.

" wwwhhhhaaattttt do you want?" she stammered.

" only you to get out of my way as I got what I wanted." The evil witch showed the route map and before even she could react, witch pushed her down to the cliff. She laughed evilly while heading toward valley of enchanted.

But its said if mortal proposes, god disposes or vice versa. So as Somasree fell but inside water of beginning of valley of enchanted region. As its name, it's like under some cast spell land too, protected and guarded by some mysterious power. The current inside water pulled her toward a tunnel, from where she directly reached at her exact place. She looked the surroundings, a beautiful scenery indeed but felt lifeless. Everywhere stone statues of human structure located. She almost spent her whole month in journey. It was going to be sunset soon and fullmoon would be out ; and there would be no way that she could let the prince to be statue forever. She ran here and there to get the exact statue. And when she saw prince's statue she ran with full speed, until stopped by a big force and tripped down while banging with someone. Again its that witch, why couldn't she leave the prince in peace? she thought how could be she such selfish? Right then both heard someone asking,

" so what you both will choose if you will be optioned with life and death?" but the source of sound was not seen anywhere.

" life." Both replied at once.

" hmmm...complicated." Reply came. " do you know a life seeks another life? So now choice is yours."

" I am ready." Somasree replied without hesitation, but the witch moved back to few steps only to be frozen and turned into stone statue.

" you can go ahead." The voice said , after that the barrior disappeared and she went to the statue with a hurry as the moon was about to rise. She slid the ring with only thought that the prince should be alive and when she completed sliding, while she only saw prince was coming to life again her eyes closed for a peaceful final destination.

It was a big celebration time obviously as the crown prince was back. Everywhere happiness spread like flower petals. When King was announcing for upcoming celebration for crown prince to become King officially, they heard a squeal on upstairs , " am I alive?"

King made excuses and went to Somasree who was jumping , giggling happily as she too was alive. She saw the king and prince, bestowed her respect, " your majesty, I am sorry for my foolish childishness."

In return king smiled and told, ' you don't have to ask sorry to your father to be. I am thankful for bringing my son back ."

" oh! That's nothing." Her eyes widen as she realized king's word and see Sampat was smiling beside him, " wait ...wait. I have a doubt. Father to be? Means."

king laughed , " because you are going to be my daughter in law. Sampat told me about your ring exchange." King went away, " now don't ask me how? Ask explanation to Samapat."

" father. How could you?" Sampat complained as he looked at his father's retreating figure far. He looked at Somasree who stared at him a look 'explain now'.

" okay. At first when we met I knew you would be that girl who can help me. So I slid the ring in your finger. As I expected you passed in test at enchanted valley while you slide the ring in my finer. Simple. That is all." Sampat explained.

" then am I not dead? I mean life seek other life." She rolled her eyes as her another doubt aroused.

" you will not change. Box of questions and doubts." He laughed this time openly and happily. She felt her heart fluttered again. " that was just to check if your motive was pure and certain , not surrounded by another greed. You just fainted by yourself and I took you here."

" just fainted! I thought I went a trip to heaven and back." She mumbled almost shouting. He again started laughing.

" you are such an entertainment package, I don't need any one around me." He said while closed the distance between them and held her hand with affection , " I just don't know how, but I liked you from my first met. I was sad I thought I couldn't see you further. But I want to know what you feel about me?"

" I will be agree with you, if you stop teasing me." She said teasingly.

" yes, my dear pirate." He again laughed.

" pirate, do you mean I am stealing?" she stood placing her hands on her hips.

" yes you did. You stole my heart." Now she understood he again teased her. She was flaring her nose when smiled remembering something , " Tarak!"

His brows up as he didn't understand and didn't like the word too. " it means savior, but Tarak suits you." She said with a winning smile.

" oh!no.. you are not going to address me with such horrible name." he was started walking as she continued her tease.

Later they proved to be most beloved and most respected king and queen of era who served only for mankind in their era. So once upon a time, at fairy land there lived a most adorable king and queen. Sampat and somasree.
