52- Yellow Eyes
"I, I love you like a love song, baby."

I know, the real question everyone has been wondering... did we end up having a honeymoon?
Well... it sure felt like it.
Yes, I know imaginations are running wild now, what did we do? Well, my dear friends, I would love to invite you to use your imagination.
But now, there are more pressing matters to discuss. As Jacob Black just walked in the room, and he looked mad.
I didn't even get to talk to him, because if I did, I was a little nervous I would accidentally beat him up for ditching my wedding.
"Asshole." I growled, as he exited the house, knowing full-well he could hear me. Rosalie chuckled at Jacob's expense, while the rest just kept their worried eyes on my sisters growing form. Hr baby bump wasn't round like it was supposed to be, it was large, and miss-shaped... also slightly lopsided. I hated looking at it, I hated having to think that I would be this little demons aunt. The thing that is killing Bella.
And I know that Edward agrees with me, as no icy glares have been sent my way.
"You're getting some boy vibes?" I asked, taking a seat next to my sister. "Any names in mind?"
Yep, normalcy. Something that all of us need. So I am making it seem like Bella is just... normal pregnant. It may be for me as well, because I don't like seeing my sister waste away before my eyes.
"I don't know... I kinda want to do a mix of names, like for people who are important to me." Bella said, shifting slightly in her seat, her hand planted on her stomach. "I'm just not sure how to."
"Fun," I sang, my voice quiet, wavering slightly. Bella turned to me, "you have any good names?"
"Uh-" I felt my face heat up slightly, "well... I have a bunch of different names I like for a girl, for a boy... I got nothing." I frowned, turning to look at Jasper, "jeez, this is very difficult."
Bella giggled slightly, a sound that I could only get out of her occasionally, "I never thought I'd see you with nothing to say."
"I have something to say!" I defended, crossing my arms indignantly. "Um... Well, I like the idea of naming a kid after someone close to us-"
"Oh no." I turned where Jasper was standing, regarding us with his arms crossed, an amused glint in his eyes. "You wouldn't name our child Paul would you?"
I chuckled, brushing a piece of hair from my face, "what about Embry?"
The look on his face was enough to make me burst into laughter. Bella was laughing softly from beside me, as I stood up and walked over to wrap my arms around Jasper's torso. "I'm just kiddin', darlin'." I mocked his accent, smiling as he gently kissed the top of my head. "I am hopeless when it comes to name."
"Good thing I am not."
"It is a good thing."
I smiled, looking over at my sister, who even seemed to have gained some color to her cheeks... maybe everything will be okay.

Spoiler alert: Everything was not okay.
I was woken up that night by a bloodcurdling scream coming from downstairs. I was groggy, but could feel my heart jump into my throat. "What was that?"
Jasper's pale face looked ghostly in the darkness, and I jumped up from the bed. "It was Bella, wasn't it?"
He didn't respond.
"Is she okay? Jasper!"
His name seemed to be what snapped him out of his trance, and he grabbed my hand, running from the room. "She's okay for now."
A huge breath of relief came with his statement, and I gripped his hand tighter as we burst into Carlisle's room, which had been turned into a makeshift hospital. Bella was laying on the bed, a sheen of sweat coating her pale face, an X-Ray up on the wall.
I didn't let go of my husbands hand, running over to the table. "Bella oh my God."
"It cracked one of her ribs." Edward explained, his lip curled over his teeth.
"There are no splinters, it hasn't punctured anything." Carlisle announced, making Bella sigh and Edward clench his teeth.
"Yet."
"Edward." Carlisle gave his 'son' a stern look, turning back to the screen, I walked over, dragging Jasper over behind me. The screen showed what looked like a protective barrier around the fetus.
"What the hell is that?"
"I don't know." Carlisle admitted, "some sort of mucus barrier around the fetus... like it's protecting itself."
"It's breaking her from the inside out!" Edward snapped, "Tell her, Carlisle, tell her what you told me!"
Instead of addressing Bella, the blond vampire turned to me. "The fetus in incompatible with her body. It's too strong, and won't allow Bella to get the nutrition she needs. It's starving her, I can't slow it down, I can't stop it, at this rate, her heat will give out before she could even deliver."
That was it for me.
I turned around and retched, an food that I had in my stomach spilling out onto the floor. Jasper's hand rubbed my back soothingly as I doubled over, clutching my stomach, shaking like a leaf on a tree. I spit once on the ground, a foul taste in my mouth. I turned around, and Jasper wrapped his arms around me, I grabbed onto his shirt, tears falling from my eyes, my entire body trembling. Bella can't die.
But Bella can turn.
"You can turn her." I pointed to Carlisle, "if her heart will give out, you can use the venom to, to help her! You've done it!"
"Courtney, what you need to understand is that there are some things that venom simply can't fix-"
"So what? Venom is like a 'sometimes works sometimes doesn't' kind of thing?" I snapped, part of me feeling bad for yelling at Carlisle, but a bigger part of me mad at the thing inside of my sister. "I thought the entire point was life or death!"
"Heart failure is-"
"Another word for death!" I shouted, before taking one look at my sisters pale face, scoffing at the idiocy of all of this. "I am not just going to sit around here and wait for something bad to happen."
I turned, shoved past Rosalie, and didn't stop until I was outside, my feet carrying me as far away from that room as possible. It was suffocating, the burning realization that my sister is going to die. This is all so stupid! It's a baby, it's supposed to be a human, not a... freaky monster!
Blinded by my inconsiderate rage, I reared my foot back and kicked the stump of a tree, immediately yelling at the pain that shot through my leg, slumping on the ground and sobbing. Bella doesn't deserve this. Nobody does.
I felt an uncalled for wave of calm rush over me, and i blindly threw a rock in that direction. "Cut it out."
"Sorry." Jasper took a seat next to me, but I didn't look up, I just stared blankly at a spot on the ground. Finally, I leaned my head over to rest on his shoulder.
"It's not fair." I whispered, tears still flowing down my cheeks. "This shouldn't even be possible."
"I know."
"I just wish I knew what it was!" I exclaimed dully, sniffing once. "Am I not technically it's aunt? It's not right to hate your own blood."
Wait-
"Blood." I whispered again, looking up to meet Jasper's eyes. He was staring down at me with the same abrupt realization that I felt, "It's part vampire."
"It needs blood."
