"Adrenaline rush."
I looked up at Bella, who barged into my room as I was watching more conspiracy theory videos about vampires. "What?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"That's what Edward said it was, adrenaline rush."
I shook my head, automatically shutting my laptop. "No, if it was adrenaline, he would have two broken arms if he really did push that van back." I cursed under my breath, "why are they lying to us?"
Bella shrugged. "I don't know."
"I would say that we are being crazy. But when I was with Jasper did I realize what we are dealing with. They are all so pale, weird eyes, and inhumanly attractive. I would say it's a family thing... but Jasper and Rosalie are adopted..."
Bella's eyes widened with every word I said. "Wait, shut the door." I beckoned for Bella to come sit on the bed. Once she was, words burst ut of my mouth. "I think they might be vampires."
"Vampires?" Bella repeated incredulously. "Honestly?"
"I know, I know, it seems crazy! But I borrowed this book from Angela, and it is crazy." I dug the heavy book from my bed, flipping to the dog-eared page. "Listen to this: Vampires in the middle ages were spotted quite often around central Italy. If you looked at them from a glance, you wouldn't see anything unusual. Unless you saw their eyes, their glowing, blood red eyes."
Bella shifted her weight. "How does that explain anything about the Cullen's?"
"Just listen! I remember what Leo told me-"
"Who's Leo?"
"One of the characters! Shh! He said that you can look out for a potential bloodsucker by looking out for certain characteristics. Disappearing when the sun is high in the sky, as it dry's out their bodies, mysterious good looks. Actually, his exact words were "look out for their faces, pale, defined cheekbones, glowing teeth with well-hidden fangs. Rosy red lips, and so damn gorgeous all you want to do is stare at them all day." But the most prominent feature is their eyes. A vampire can hide their ruby orbs, by bending the atmosphere to make them look blue, green, or yellow."
I lifted my eyes to meet Bella's. "See?"
Bella grabbed the book, looking at the cover. "Who wrote this?"
"Probably J.R Tolkien, but we don't have time for that!"
Bella sighed deeply, "Court, this seems ridiculous."
"So does Edward pushing the van around, but look where we are now!"
I stood up, walking out. "Just, think about it."
I re-entered my room. "This is my room."

"Courtney knows." Edward Cullen stormed into the Cullen house, pointing at Jasper, who was playing chess with Emmett. "Huh?" The blond vampire replied, making a careful move and lulling Emmett into a false sense of security. "Stop doing that." The bigger boy growled.
"No, guys, Courtney knows about us."
In the blink of an eye, all of the Cullen's were in the big room, Alice by the doorway, her eyes wide, Carlisle and Esme by the grand bookcase, and Rosalie next to Alice, fury dancing in her eyes.
"What?" Jasper gaped, the chess piece falling from his hand. "She knows?"
Of course, Jasper could sense the girls confused emotions he day before, but the one that scarred him the most was fear. She felt fear when she looked at him, instead of the usual peace that flooded her system.
"Well, not 100%, but she suspects."
"So?" Emmett stood up, hitting his fist on the chess table. "We already know there is something weird about those two! At least she hasn't figured it out yet! Let's tell her ourselves and get it over with!"
"No!" Edward and Jasper yelled in unison. "We only know that I can't hear Bella's thoughts! We don't know about Courtney yet, before we take any action, we have to be sure she definitely knows, and we have to find what's up with her!" Edward explained, his voice steadily getting louder.
"We are not going to be rash." Carlisle's voice floated through the room, silencing Edwards monologue. "Use whatever tactic you think would be most effective with Courtney. Jasper." The blond's eyes shot up. "Make sure it doesn't get out of hand. Try not to act too odd around her."
"Too late." Emmett smirked.
"Shut up."
"Wait, Carlisle, are you not the least bit concerned about this? Do you realize we are endangering our kind, everywhere, by agreeing to tell these humans about us?" Rosalie snapped, her lips curled in a scowl.
"Rose, this is different." Alice defended. "We all love Courtney. It was a given that she was going to find out eventually."
"Yeah but by eventually, I thought you meant when her and Jasper got together, and she realized he wasn't aging, not right now! We could have hidden it for another, what, three years at the least?" Rosalie snarled. "We should just leave, it;s safer for everyone that way."
"No." Jasper stood up, approaching the blonde girl. "Rosalie, we are not going anywhere, anytime soon." He turned back to the rest of his family, his eyes blazing. Jasper is usually quite calm, but when that exterior is broken, no one dares to interrupt. "If you want to go somewhere else because of two unusual humans, go ahead. But I will give you a heads up right now, that I-" He glared at Rosalie, "-am not going anywhere, unless she comes with us."

After everything going on right now, school seemed like a mild inconvenience. I know I should feel different about the Cullen's, but I don't. I just want to talk to Alice, and see Jasper. He is all I have been able to think about lately. I am pretty sure that I have already said that. It is true though.
But it was clear that the Cullen's were acting weird when I got to school.
"Hey Cordie, think fast!" I heard Emmett yell as I was walking with Jasper and Alice to first period. I yelped as I felt a hard object hit my temple and fall to the ground. "Ow!" I yelled at the bigger man as Jasper threw the apple back at his brother. "Idiot." I heard him grumble under his breath as he turned to ask me if I was okay.
"What was that?" I asked Alice as we entered the classroom. Alice shrugged. "It's Emmett, he's weird."
The second mishap happened in English. We were doing a creative writing project, when Jasper asked me to grab him a paper from the front of the room. "Kay." I muttered. I was getting paper for myself anyways.
"Quick! Go! Go! Go!" He whisper-yelled at me, and I furrowed my eyebrows as I jogged over to the front of the room, grabbed a stack of paper, and jogged back, handing it to Jasper with a raised eyebrow.
"That fast enough for you?" I teased, and he frowned, looking dejected.
The last weird thing that happened was at lunch, and was the oddest thing that happened today.
Lunch was going normal, I walked in with Jasper as I usually do, and grinned at the Cullen's when I sat down.
"Hey guys." I greeted, jokingly tossing an apple at Emmett. "To make up for earlier." I smirked, and he gave me his usual puppy-dog grin. I know he wouldn't eat it though. They barely ever eat at school.
"Sorry about that." Rosalie swiftly cut in, her expression more stony then it's usual. "Emmett is a weird person."
"I know."
We went on talking about random things, which eventually lead to a debate about who would win an arm wrestle, me or Rosalie.
"Probably Rose." I admitted, shrugging slightly. "She looks like she could kill me by looking at me the wrong way."
"I probably could if I tried hard enough." Rosalie shrugged.
"Why don't we test it?" Alice offered, moving her tray over. "Oh come on!" She urged when she took in my reluctant look.
"Fine." I gave in, jokingly removing my sweater. "But when I loose, none of you are allowed to bully me." I glared pointedly at Emmett, who shrugged. "No promises."
"Thanks." I gripped Rosalie's cold hand, and by her expression she didn't intend to go easy on me. "One, two, three, go." Jasper muttered, his voice nervous. I pressed my strength into my arm, and, surprisingly, didn't go down right away. Rosalie smirked, applying more pressure, I winced, but pushed back, managing to move her arm a little. The smile melted off Rosalie's face as she seemed to put all of her strength on to my arm. I grinned, pushing back, a final burst of adrenaline allowing me to press Rosalie's hand on the table.
"That was unexpected." I exclaimed, turning and seeing all of the Cullen's with wide eyes. "I want a go." Jasper stood up, shrugging off his jacket and sitting in Rosalie's spot. My face immediately flushed red. Why is this a big deal? I beat a girl my size at an arm wrestle...
I grabbed Jasper's hand, thankful for the cool temperature because mine would definitely be sweating by now.
"One, two, three, go." Emmett's voice was incredulous as I managed to hold my own. Jasper was strong. I could see his muscles tensing under his blue shirt. I felt my hand move down, but with a jerking movement, I pulled it back up again. "What the fuck." Emmett muttered, and Edward moved over to squat in between our hands.
"It's equal." he muttered in astonishment, which made me angry. What? Did he think that since I was girl, Jasper was automatically stronger then me. My anger seemed to trigger my strength, as I grunted, shifting my arm forward, before having it pushed back on the table by Jasper, who was breathing heavily. He looked down at me, his blond locks falling in front of his face. "You're strong." He whispered, before turning and running out of the cafeteria.
