It was the morning as Anne was seen wearing her suit as She was making her way to Alexander Pierce's office for questioning after Fury's death. Anne was walking towards the office as She was thinking about everything that has happened last night.

She continued walking until Anne saw Pierce standing outside his office as Anne was looking at him.

Pierce: Ah, Captain Winters. My name is Alexander Pierce.

Anne: Sir, it's an honor.

Both of them shakes hands as Pierce walked inside his office and Anne followed him inside as He was talking to her.

Pierce: The honor is mine, Captain. My father served in the 101st.

Anne noticed a picture of both Pierce and Fury together as Alexander said something.

Pierce: Well this photo was taken five years after Nick and I met. When I was at State Department in Bogota. ELN rebels took the embassy, and security got me out, but the rebels took hostages. Nick was deputy chief for the SHIELD station there. And he comes to me with a plan.

He wants to storm the building through the sewers. I said, "No, we'll negotiate." Turned out the ELN didn't negotiate, so they put out a kill order. They stormed the basement, and what did they find? They find it empty.

Nick had ignored my direct order and carried out an unauthorized military operation on foreign soil. He saved the lives of a dozen political officers, including my daughter.

Anne: You and Fury seem to be really good friends.

Pierce: Indeed we were. But Captain, why was Nick in your apartment last night?

Anne: I don't know.

Pierce: You know it was bugged?

Anne: I did, because Nick told me.

Pierce: Did he tell you he was the one who bugged it?

Anne was silent and didn't know what he was talking about as Pierce showed a footage to Anne which showed Batroc being interrogated

Anne: Is that live?

Pierce: Yeah, they picked him up last night in a not-so-safe house in Algiers.

Anne: Are you saying he's a suspect? Assassination isn't Batroc's line

Pierce: No, it's more complicated than that. Batroc was hired anonymously to attack the Lemurian Star and he was contacted by e-mail and paid by wire transfer. And then the money was run through seventeen fictitious accounts, the last one going to a holding company that was registered to a Jacob Veech.

Anne: Am I supposed to know who that is?

Pierce: *Gives Anne a file as She looks at it* Not likely. Veech died six years ago. His last address was 14-35 Elmhurst Drive. When I first met Nick his mother lived at 14-37.

Anne: Are you saying Fury hired the pirates? Why?

Pierce: The prevailing theory was that the hijacking was a cover for the acquisition and sale of classified intelligence. The sale went sour and that led to Nick's death.

Anne: If you really knew Nick Fury you'd know that's not true.

Pierce: Why do you think we're talking? See, I took a seat on the Council not because I wanted to but because Nick asked me to, because we were both realists. We knew that despite all the diplomacy and the handshaking and the rhetoric, that to build a really better world sometimes means having to tear the old one down and that makes enemies.

Those people that call you dirty because you got the guts to stick your hands in the mud and try to build something better. And the idea that those people could be happy today, makes me really, really angry. . .

Pierce was silent before he said something to Anne.

Pierce: Captain, you were the last one to see Nick alive. I don't think that's an accident, and I don't think you do either. So I'm gonna ask again, why was he there?

Anne: He told me not to trust anyone.

Pierce: I wonder if that included him.

Anne: I'm sorry. Those were his last words. . . Excuse me.

Anne didn't really want to continue taking anymore as She got up and grabbed her shield and was gonna leave the office until Pierce said something to her.

Pierce: Captain. Somebody murdered my friend and I'm gonna find out why. Anyone gets in my way, they're gonna regret it.

Anne: Understood.

Anne left the office as Pierce was looking at Anne before he looked at the ground.

Soon Anne got inside the elevator as She was thinking about her conversation with Pierce. The elevator was gonna close until Rumlow and two STRIKE agents stepped in as They were inside rhe elevator as Anne was looking at them.

The elevator closed as Anne was staring at the the two agents who were holding their weapons very tightly as Anne was staring at them with a suspicious look on her face.

The elevator opened and a couple of STRIKE Agents entered as Anne was looking at all them. The elevator closed again as Anne was staring at all of them.

Rumlow: I'm sorry about what happened with Fury.

Anne: Thank you.

Anne looked at Rumlow before looking at the other agents. She knew something wasn't right at all as She looked at one of the agents who was sweating as Anne continued staring at him.

Until she realised she was surrounded by all the agents, Anne looked at everyone before she said something.

Anne; Before we get started, Does anyone want to get out?

It was complete silence until. . .

Anne was attacked by an electrical rod as The other agents began grabbing her as One of them was choking her. Anne was struggling to break out until one of the agents strapped Anne's hands with a magnetic lock.

Anne was struggling to move as Her hands were strapped as They were holding her hand tightly until Anne attacked the agents.

Anne got one of the locks off her hand but her other hand was still strapped, However She managed to fight as Anne kicked the other agents before she took down the other agent that was holding her from behind.

Anne was trying to get the lock off her hand until Rumlow kicked her as Anne looked at her hand.

Rumlow began hitting Anne with the electric rod and began tasing her as Anne was in pain before she elbowed Rumlow and threw the other agent to the camera.

Jasper Sitwell was watching everything in the control room as He was talking to the other agents and said something.

Sitwell: Mobilize STRIKE units, 25th floor.

An agent was gonna use the taser on Anne but She grabbed his hand and used it on the other agent and hit a double dropkick.

Anne grabbed her strapped hand and began pulling it until she managed to break it and did a backflip before she attacked the two agents.

Anne looked at the unconscious bodies until she saw Rumlow, Who was ready to attack her with his rod as He said something to Anne.

Rumlow: Your a strong women. I just want you to know, Cap, this ain't personal.

Anne stared at him as Rumlow began hitting her as Anne managed to dodge him until he caught her and tased her again as Anne was in pain, She tried to attack him but he grabbed her arm and tased her as Anne grunted before she punched him and grabbed Rumlow and threw him.

Anne: It kinda of feels personal.

Anne fixed her messy hair as She picked up her shield and used it to break the magnetic lock that was still on her wrist as The elevator opened until she saw a couple of agents that were aiming their rifles at her.

STRIKE Agent: Drop the shield! Put your hands in the air!!

Anne was looking at them before she had an idea and breaks the elevator wires by hitting her shield.

The elevator falls down as Anne was holding on until it stopped, Winters used her strength to open the door but saw STRIKE Agents running towards her as Anne closed it and was thinking of a strategy to escape.

She looked through the glass and had a plan and. . .

Anne broke through the glass and was falling down as She fell through the plummets before landing on the ground.

Anne was on the ground and was in pain, But she managed to get up and ran away.

Meanwhile Sitwell was looking at the monitor as He was shocked to see that Anne escaped as He spoke.

Sitwell; Are you kidding me? *Ordering the STRIKE team* She's headed for the garage. Lock down the bridge!

Anne was seen riding out of the garage with her motorcycle as The garage was closed as Anne continued riding her bike.

She continued moving until she noticed that the road was blocked as Anne was looking around until she saw something in the sky.

It was the Quinjet. Its a jet that was mostly used by the shield. Anne was staring at it as The pilot said something.

Quinjet Pilot: Stand down, Captain Winters. Stand down.

Anne was looking at it and didn't stop as The quinjet lowered it's machine gun as Anne was looking at it.

Quinjet Pilot: I repeat, Stand Down.

The machine gun fired at Anne as Winters was dodging the bullets as It continued shooting at her.

Anne was dodging while moving faster before she threw her shield at the jet.

It damaged the propellers as Anne did it just so it can get jammed. Captain Winters continued moving faster before she jumped over to the jet.

Anne grabbed her shield back as The jet began spinning as Anne almost fell off the jet but she managed to hold on before flipping over and threw her shield around the jet.

Anne immediately grabbed her shield and jumped off the jet before landing on the ground as Anne saw the destroyed quinjet falling into the water.

Anne looked around before she decided to leave and escape the area.

Meanwhile Jasper was seen talking to the STRIKE Team as He was discussing about Captain Winter's escape and how they should capture her again.

Sitwell: Eyes here. Whatever your op is, bury it. This is Level One. Contact DOT. All traffic lights in the district go red. Shut all runways at BWI, IAD and Reagan.

All security cameras in the city go through this monitor, right here. Scan all open sources. Phones, computers, PDAs, whatever. If someone tweets about this women, I want to know about it.

Sharon/Agent13: With all due respect, If SHIELD is conducting a hunt for Captain Winters, we deserve to know why.

Pierce: Because She lied to us.

They looked at Pierce who entered the room as Alexander said something.

Pierce: Captain Winters has information regarding the death of Director Fury, She refused to share it. As difficult as this is to accept. . .

Captain Winters is a fugitive from SHIELD.
