SHIELD arrived at the area and handcuffed Anne along with Daikon, Natasha, Alex and Sam were captured by the STRIKE Team.

After their battle with The Winter Soldier who was revealed to be Bucky Barnes, Anne couldn't believe that Bucky was alive and tried to kill her along with the others.

Anne was really shocked and couldn't get over it, Everyone was at the SHIELD Van as They were handcuffed while Anne explained to them how she knew Bucky.

Anne: It was him. . . He looked right at me like he didn't even know me.

Sam: How's that even possible? It was like seventy years ago.

Anne" Zola. Bucky's whole unit was captured in '45, Zola experimented on him. Whatever he did helped Bucky survive the fall. They must have found him and. . .

Anne was sad and looked at the ground as Natasha looked at her and understood how sad she was as Alex was looking at them while Daikon was staring at Anne.

Natasha: None of that's your fault, Anne.

Anne: Even when I had nothing. . . I had Bucky. . .

They were all silent as Anne was staring at the ground and began having memories of the mission which continued to make her feel sad until Daikon said something.

Daikon: I knew him as well.

They all looked at Daikon as Nat felt a bit worried as Anne was shocked and confused.

Anne: Wait Daikon, How do you know Bucky?

Daikon didn't want to answer that and looked at the other way, But he did look really angry, Anne was looking at him and waited for a response.

Natasha: Anne. . I'll actually explain that later-

Suddenly Natasha felt pain on her shoulder and saw blood coming from her shoulder as Alex looked at Natasha before gritting his teeth and looked at the guards.

Alex: We need to get a doctor here. If we don't put pressure on that wound she's gonna bleed out.

The Guards stared at Alex as Daikon tried to break the handcuffs from his hands and Alex tried to do the same until One of the guards pulls out an electric rod and neutralizes the other guard before knocking him out.

They were all confused until the guard removed the helmet and it was revealed to be Maria Hill.

Maria: Ah. That thing was squeezing my brain. *Looks at Sam in confusion* Who's this guy?

Sam was even more confused and looked at Anne as Winters was just looking at him while Maria had an idea to rescue the group.

Eventually, Brock and his team go over to the van holding the targets as they open the door until they found it empty with one of the guards left unconscious and massive burnt whole on the car floor which got them upset.

Meanwhile Maria took all of them to a secret facility as there was couple scientists walking around which Anne was having memories of how Peggy took her to the project rebirth program.

Daikon was holding his wounded mother while Alex was also checking on her until they saw someone laying on the bed with some scientists around him as they were shocked to see who it was.

Nick Fury: About a time.

Alex: *Shocked* Fury?

Fury was looking at them as Anne was even more shocked until a doctor told Natasha to follow him for treatment as Nat agreed while Daikon was watching her.

As Natasha's wound is being treated, They all had several questions goinf through their head of how Fury survived everything as they were talking to him.

Fury: Lacerated spinal column, cracked sternum, shattered collarbone, perforated liver, and a big headache.

Doctor: Don't forget your collapsed lung.

Nick Fury: Oh, let's not forget that. Otherwise, I'm good.

Natasha: They cut you open, your heart stopped.

Fury: Tetrodotoxin B. Slows the pulse to one beat a minute. Banner developed it for stress. Didn't work so great for him, but we found a use for it.

Alex: Why all the secrecy? Why didn't you tell us?

Fury: Can't kill you if you're already dead. Besides, I wasn't sure who to trust.

Alex looked at him as Anne just narrowed her eyes and looked at Fury.

Meanwhile somewhere for, There was a bank vault but it was actually a secret hideout for HYDRA. Bucky was seen sitting in a chair while some agents were fixing his damaged arm.

Bucky was staring at the ground in blankness until he started to have a brief flashback.

Zola: Sergeant Barnes. . .

He had a vision of Zola, He was talking to Bucky with a sinister smirk on his face as Bucky moved forward from his seat and remembered when he fell off the train and heard Anne yelling his name.

Bucky was laid on the snow as He saw a HYDRA soldier walking towards him before his vision went dark before he was being dragged and he saw that he had no left arm and there was blood all over the snow.

Zola: The procedure has already started.

Zola and the Hydra agent began amputating his left arm and replacing with the metal arm.

Bucky moved away in shock from the memories and continued to slowly remember more.

Zola: You are the new fist of HYDRA. . .

Bucky woke up and found himself in the bed while the HYDRA agents were standing as He looked at both of his arms as one of the agents were about to hold Bucky until he viciously grabbed his throat.

The other agents ran as Bucky continued choking him until the other agents began holding him down as Zola was smiling at Bucky.

Zola: Put him in ice.

Bucky was trapped in the ice and began to froze as He touched the mirrior.

He snapped out of anger and smacked the doctor as He went flying to floor before the agents began aiming their rifles at him as Bucky was staring at them in anger with his hair all over his face.

Just then, Pierce entered with Rumlow and another agent as He was walking towards the vault until one of the scientists said something.

Scientist: Sir, he's. . .he's unstable. Erratic.

Pierce looked at him before he continued walking and looked at Bucky who was staring in blankness as Pierce walked towards him as Bucky looked at him.

Pierce: Mission report. *Bucky doesn't respond* Mission report, now.

Again, There was no respinse as Pierce moves closer to hin and smacked him hard in the face. Bucky slowly turned around and looked at Pierce before saying something.

Bucky: The woman on the bridge. . . .Who was she?

Pierce: You met her earlier this week on another assignment.

Bucky: I knew her

Pierce: Your work has been a gift to mankind. You shaped the century, and I need you to do it one more time. Society is at a tipping point between order and chaos. Tomorrow morning we're gonna give it a push. But, if you don't do your part, I can't do mine, and HYDRA can't give the world the freedom it deserves.

Bucky: But I knew her

Pierce: *Sighs and looks at the scientist* Prep him.

Scientist: He's been out of cryo-freeze too long.

Pierce: Then wipe him and start over.

Bucky felt a bit sad and was staring at Peirce before the scientists began strap Bucky in his chair and then place a teeth shield in his mouth as they begin the process of wiping his brain as Bucky's screams were heard.

Meanwhile at the facility, Fury was looking at a picture of Pierce as Alex was looking around before he said something.

Alex: We have to stop the launch.

Fury: I don't think the Council's accepting my calls anymore.

Fury opens a case containing three chips as Sam looked in confusion.

Sam: What's that?

Maria: Once the Helicarriers reach three thousand feet, they'll triangulate with Insight satellites becoming fully weaponized.

Fury: We need to breach those carriers and replace their targeting blades with our own.

Maria: One or two won't cut it. We need to link all three carriers for this to work, because if even one of those ships remains operational a whole lot of people are gonna die.

Fury: We have to assume everyone aboard those carriers is HYDRA. We need to get pass them, insert the server blades, and maybe, just maybe, we can salvage what's left. . .

Anne: We're not salvaging anything. We're not just taking down the carriers, Nick, we're taking down SHIELD.

Fury: SHIELD had nothing to do with it.

Anne: You gave me this mission, this is how it ends. SHIELD's been compromised, you said so yourself. HYDRA grew right under your nose and nobody noticed.

Anne looked at him with an upset look as Natasha, Alex, Sam and Daikon were silent and were listening to them.

Fury: Why do you think we're meeting in this cave?

Anne: And how many paid the price before you did?

Fury: Look, I didn't know about Barnes.

Anne: Even if you have, would you have told me? Or would you have compartmentalized that too? SHIELD, HYDRA, Thats what it's about.

Maria: She's right.

Fury looked at Natasha, Alex, Daikon as Anne was staring at Fury before Nick looked at Sam as Wilson spoke.

Sam: Don't look at me. I do what she does, just slower.

Fury: *Looks at Anne* Well. . . Looks like you're giving the orders now, Captain.

Anne looked at Fury as They began discussing more about stopping Project Insight.

Later on, Anne was seen in the bridge as the wind was blowing as Winters was staring at the sky and was thinking about her next move. Although she began to remember Bucky and was having memories with him.

Anne was staring at the sky and remembered a flashback.

Augest 13 1936.

It was the morning as there was an old apartment complex as Two people were seen walking, It was Anne and Bucky who were both eighteen years old.

Anne's mother, Beatrice Winters passed away from tuberculosis and Anne was in grief and was devastated from her death. Her burial was next to Anne's father.

Although Bucky was there, comforting her from her grief. They both continued walking as Bucky said something to Anne.

Bucky: Anne. . . How was the funeral?

Anne: It was okay. . . She's next to dad.

Bucky: I'm sorry, Anne.

Anne: Its okay Bucky, Thank you for being with me.

Bucky: Its alright.

Anne was looking at him as She was feeling sad.

Anne: I feel like I'm just losing everyone I love, I feel alone. . .

Bucky: Hey, Its okay. Look one day we all will die, Thats why we should always spend more time with our loved ones.

Anne: Thats true.

Bucky: And why would you feel alone, Anne?

Anne was looking at him as He held and rubbed her hand and said something.

Bucky: You haven't lost me.

Anne felt a bit relieved in her heart as Winters was staring at him.

Anne: I know I still have you.

Bucky looked at her as He pulled her for a hug and Anne hugged him back.

She felt comforted from the hug as Bucky caressed her hair, The hug lasted for a while before they broke it as Anne looked at him.

Anne: I appreciate it, Bucky.

Bucky: No problem, Do you want me to come with you?

Anne: No no, Its fine, I can go on my own.

Bucky: The thing is Anne, You don't have too.

He patted Anne's shoulder as She stared at him.

Bucky: Because I'll be there for you till the end.

The two best friends were staring at eachother as Anne thanked him again and hugged him again as Winters went back to her apartment as Bucky was looking at her as Anne looked at him again before closing the door.

End of Flashback-

Anne continued staring at the sky as those memories felt an emotion going through her and felt her heart beating fast.
