Augest 12 1943

It was Anne's first day of training Erikson recruited her in the army, Anne travelled to Camp Lehigh to begin her training as a Solider and she was ready to work hard for this.

It was the bright morning as The time was eight a.m, It showed a training camp where there was many soliders training for their mission including the new recruits while Anne was seen standing in a line with a few cadets.

The Cadets were staring at her as Anne was standing there before they all heard someone's voice.

???: Recruits, Attention!

This was Peggy Carter, She is one of the most prominent agents of the Strategic Scientific Reserve, She joined the Special Operations Executive following her brother's death.

Peggy: I supervise all operations for this division.

Gilmore Hodge: What's with the accent? I thought I was signing up for the army.

Anne stared at Gilmore, He was one of the recruits that Winters was getting ticked off about. He kept bullying her along with the other cadets.

Peggy: *Stares* What's your name?

Gilmore Hodge: Gilmore Hodge.

Peggy: Step forward and put your right foot here.

Gilmore stepped forward and moved his right foot as He smirked and said something to Peggy.

Gilmore: What are you gonna do now-

Before he could finish his sentence in a disrespecting tone, Peggy punched his face as Gilmore fell down while the other cadets were just looking but Anne had a smile on her face until someone called Peggy's name.

Colonel Chester Phillips, He is an officer of the United States Army, the first and only director of the Strategic Scientific Reserve. He is also Anne's commanding officer.

Phillips: I can see that you are breaking in the candidates. That's good! Get up out of that dirt and stand in that line at attention till somebody comes tells you what to do.

Gilmore quickly got up and stood in the line as Everyone spoke.

Everyone: Yes, sir!

Colonel Phillips: Now you all may begin your training, I know you will all become one of the best people in the army.

Chested was staring at Anne as Winters noticed him as He just narrowed his eyes and walked away.

Soon the training started as All the recruits were running and climbing on the ropes as Anne also ran and tried to climb on the ropes but she was struggling to move on as She almost fell from the ropes.

Anne was struggling to get up as Gilmore was laughing at Anne as Phillips was yelling to Anne to get up.

Eventhough she was getting tired and was struggling alot, Anne was still training hard to become a solider and is pushing herself to be strong.

Anne was crawling under the barb wire with the other recruits as she was breathing heavily and continued crawling before Gilmore was trapped under the barb wire, He looked at Anne and decided to kick the wood on her.

Anne was coughing as She was trapped under the barb wire as the others managed to get out while Anne was the one struggling to get out.

Later on, It was another training session as All the recruits needed to run but Anne was far behind them, She was breathing heavily and felt extremely tired as Phillips was telling them to move faster as Anne pushed herself to run

Officer: That flag means we're only at the halfway point. First man to bring it to me gets a ride back with Agent Carter.

Suddenly all the recruits ran to the pole and were trying to climb on it as Anne gave a strange look to them as Peggy was sitting in her jeep and looked at everyone as the officer said something.

Officer: Nobody's got that flag in 17 years! Come on!

Anne was looking at them as The recruits were trying to climb and were desperate to grab the flag before the officer told to fall in line as they followed the officer while Anne was breathing and stared at the pole.

Officer: I said fall in line, Winters!

Anne walked towards the pole as She was looking at it before Winters took off the pin that was supporting the pole as the pole fell down.

Everyone was looking at Anne as Winters grabbed the flag.

They were shocked how Anne took it off easily as Peggy had a smile on her face as Anne got in the jeep and looked at Peggy as Both of them smiled at eachother.

Soon, The next few days Anne has been training hard despite feeling extremely tired but she didn't give up at all. It was another day and another training day as Anne along with the other recruits were doing push ups.

Anne was breathing heavily as She continued doing pushups while Phillips and Erikson were talking to eachother.

Phillips: You're not really thinking about picking Winters, are you?

Erikson: I'm more than just thinking about it. She's the clear choice.

Phillips: Really Doctor? I never thought you'd pick her.

Anne was trying to run around as Phillips and Erikson were looking at her as Chester said something.

Phillips: Look, She's making me cry.

Erikson: I am looking for qualities and she has exactly what we need.

Phillips: Do you know how long it took to set up this project?

Erikson: Yes, I know. I am well aware of your efforts.

Phillips: Then throw me a bone. Hodge passed every test we gave him. He's big, he's fast, he obeys orders, he's a soldier.

Erikson: He is a bully.

Phillips: Look Doctor, We don't need niceness, We need guts.

He grabbed a dummy grenade and pulled the pin and threw it as Phillips had an idea to show how strong Gilmore can be and that he won't run away from it.

Everyone started panicking as Peggy turned and looked at them as all the recruits and ran and took cover along with Gilmore who was hiding behind a car.

Anne saw the grenade as She immediately ran towards the grenade and covered it with her body.

Anne was covering the grenade as Peggy ran and saw Anne as Winters yelled.

Anne: Get away! Take cover!

Peggy was standing there as Phillips and Erikson were looking at her, Abraham had a smile on his face and looked at Phillips as Chester was just staring. Anne noticed the grenade didn't exploded as She was confused and looked at them.

Anne: Was that a test?

Erikson nodded as Anne was relieved that everything was okay, Peggy was looking at Anne and had a smile on her face as Erikson was looking at Phillips.

Phillips: She still looks weak.

He walked away as Erikson was looking at him as the training continued on.

Meanwhile it showed a testing lab as There was two people working on something, One of them were looking at the machines as It revealed who it was.

Doctor Arnim Zola is a scientist working for HYDRA, Zola was recruited in 1934 by Johann Schmidt to become a lead scientist for HYDRA. He is right now studying the tesseract.

He continued looking at the machine before he heard someone speak to him.

This was Johann Schmidt, He is the head of HYDRA. He is known to be very cruel and ruthless.

Johann: Are you ready, Dr. Zola?

Zola: My machine requires the most delicate calibration. Forgive me if I seem overcautious.

Johann: Are you certain that those conductors of yours can withstand the energy surge long enough for transference?

Zola: With this artifact I am certain of nothing. I fear it may not work at all.

Johann was holding the tesseract in his hands as Zola was looking at him, Soon Schmidt removed the box as the blue light shined on Johann's face.

Zola immediately wore some glasses because it was too bright as Johann had an idea to try and harness the tesseract's energy.

He placed it on the machine as He stepped back while Zola was turning on the machine as He spoke.

Zola: Twenty percent.

He continued increasing the energy as Johann was looking at the artifact until Zola put it on forty percent as the energy was slowly surging.

Soon, It was seventy percent until something happened.

The tesseract's energy began surging around the room as Zola and Johann were looking around as it continued surging.

Until there was a small blast as the energy was gone as the two continued looking around as Johann looked at Zola and said something to him.

Johann: I must congratulate you, Arnim. Your designs do not disappoint. Though they may require some slight reinforcement.

Zola: The energy we have just collected could power my designs. All my designs. This will change alot of things.

Johann: Doctor Zola, This will change the world.

Meanwhile Anne was seen sitting in her room as She was resting up from the training, Anne was looking around as She was thinking about something before she decided to read a book.

Until she heard a knock on the door as Anne turned and said "Come in" as Erikson walked inside.

Erikson: May I talk to you for a minute, Anne?

Anne: Oh of course.

Erikson walked towards Anne and took a chair and sat down as Anne spoke to him.

Anne: Is everything okay?

Erikson: Yes Anne, I just have a question for you.

Anne: Okay?

Erikson: You know my people struggled alot, They felt weak and small. . . A certain brilliant scientist named Johann Schmidt always investigates my work.

Anne: Who is he?

Erikson: He is the head of HYDRA.

Anne was looking at him as Erikson continued talking to her.

Erikson: So when he hears about my formula and what it can do, he cannot resist. Schmidt must become that superior man.

Anne: Did it make him stronger. . . With all that power?

Erikson: Yes. But there were other effects. The serum was not ready. But more important, the man. The serum amplifies everything that is inside, so good becomes great.

Anne continued looking at him as Erikson continued talking to her.

Erikson: Bad becomes worse. This is why you were chosen. Because a strong person who has known power all his life may lose respect for that power, but a weak person knows the value of strength and knows compassion.

Anne: Thank you. . . .

Erikson: Whatever happens tomorrow, Anne. you must promise me one thing. That you will stay who you are.

Anne was staring at him as She was a bit worried about the experiment but she really wanted to do it.

Erikson: You may be not a perfect soldier, but you are a great women.

Anne was looking at him as She was thinking.

Erikson: Are you willing to be ready for this?

Anne: I will.

Erikson: You have a really strong heart and have more potential on you.

Anne had a small smile on her face as Erikson smiled at her, They continued talking and joked around before Erikson left as Anne sighed to herself and remembered Erikson's words.

It made her remember Bucky's words, She had a smile on her face knowing that what he says to her was correct. Anne was smiling to herself and was thinking about him and how he was doing.
