~*~ A True Love Story Never Ends ~*~

Kol’s POV

Klaus was out at the moment, I had no idea where he was, and to be honest I didn’t want to. It wasn’t like I was completely against the way he acted but he did generally take it all too far.

This evening, Elijah and I were the only two in the house. It was rather odd seen as we were sat in the main living room but no conversation occurred. Neither of us occupied out time with anything other than being sat in the silence of our house.

It’d been like this for a while. It felt as if there was a void in our lives that just needed to be filled to make our lives better and worthwhile. I didn’t know what it was, but I just knew that something or someone was supposed to be in our lives, or at least my life to make everything seem right in the world.

The silence was broken with a loud thud from outside of our house. At this time of the evening generally nothing happened around our home, maybe a couple of voices but that was it.

Elijah looked up from staring at the ground and raised an eyebrow, looking at me.

“What was that?” He questioned.

“I don’t know,” I shrugged.

He didn’t say anything further before he stood up and walked to the front door, going to investigate. Sighing, I stood up and followed him. He opened the door and looked outside. I couldn’t see anything and I was sure neither could he. I was hit by the strong smell of blood.

“Can you smell that?” I frowned.

“Yeah,” He nodded, stepping outside of the house.

I followed him down the path until we reached the street. Lying on the floor under the light of the street lap was a young woman in a blood covered wedding gown.

This wasn’t something I had come across a in my life, so I had no idea how to react.

“What are we going to do?” I asked.

“I don’t know. She’s still breathing, maybe we should take her inside, she’ll freeze out here,” he stated.

By no means did I see that as what we should do. If you find a stranger collapsed in the street, I wouldn’t suggest taking them into your home, but my brother was too moral to allow her to die in the street.

He walked over to the woman picking her up and carrying her back up the path and into the house, lying her down onto the sofa.

There were no visible sign of why she was covered in blood over than a hole in the back of her dress which had the most blood around it, but there wasn’t a cut or anything like that.

“Why do you think she has so much blood over her? It can’t be hers,” I shrugged.

“I don’t know, it’s probably not her’s but she is clearly cold and hurt somehow. I’m going to go get some blankets to warm her up, keep an eye on her,” Elijah stated.

It wasn’t a hard job in keeping an eye on her. She was un-conscious, so it wasn’t like she was going anywhere.

She was rather beautiful. Her blond hair was a bit messed up around her face, but it was kind of understandable seen as we did find her un-conscious in the street.

I wanted to know what had happened to her; seen as something rather drastic must have occurred to be in such a state.

Soon enough Elijah came back with a couple of blankets. I began to cover her in them trying to make sure she stayed warm, as her skin was icy cold.

She still hadn’t moved or stirred. She had no physical signs of being hurt, meaning we had no need to give her blood to heal her, all we could do is wait.

“What do you think happened? She was obviously getting married today, and something must have gone wrong. It’s not like she even has a phone on her or any ID for us to be able to find out who she is or who could be looking for her,” I sighed.

“I have no idea. We are going to just have to wait for her to wake up so we can find out about what has happened, and then we can try to get her back to those who love her,” Elijah stated.

I couldn’t imagine what could have gone wrong for her. Wasn’t your wedding day supposed to be the happiest day of your life? I’m sure the happiest day of your life shouldn’t end with you collapsed in the street covered in blood.

Being a vampire, meant marriage wasn’t something that would probably ever occur in your life. If I met someone I could love, I would like to marry them, just I was sure that’d never happen. I was certainly the Mikaelson sibling least likely to fall in love.

Rebekah fell in love at the drop of a hat, Klaus was clearly in love with Caroline and he definitely wanted to fall in love at some point, and Elijah was the most loving of us but whether he would find the one woman for him that he could fall in love with is a different story.

I hated the thought of when Klaus came in and found her here. I’m sure if she isn’t hurt now, she would certainly be hurt when he finds her. I’m sure he wouldn’t care about why she was here or that she needed time to wake up so we could get her home, he would probably just kill her.

Elijah was currently walking around the house sorting out anything she could need when she woke up. He organised some of Rebekah’s clothes for her to change into, sorted out food and anything else she could possibly need. It was kind of weird as he was caring more about this stranger than he usually did about our family, and he was known for being the family man.

Whilst he was frantically searching for everything, I sat in the living room waiting for her to wake up. It wasn’t like I had anything better to do.

I sat in the same spot for a couple of hours, and Elijah joined me after a while.

Suddenly the woman began to stir. She hadn’t moved the whole time she had been here other than her soft breathing. Now she had fidgeted and her eyes opened.
